The DJI Mavic Pro was fairly easy to update and prepare for it's first flight - thanks to all of the videos posted on YouTube by fellow drone owners/reviewers. One lesson learned was DO NOT land it on dry loose dirt! It makes a quite large dust storm and the dust really sticks onto the drone. Oops. Make sure you know how to register your drone with the FAA and DO NOT apply for the $150 pilot's license unless you are going to be operating your drone for profit. You just need to follow the steps for the radio controlled club. You do not need to be a member - just follow their rules for operating your drone (along with the FAA rules that may apply as well). Be sure that you go to the Official FAA website too! There are a couple of knock-off websites that will charge you fees in addition to the $5 fee that the FAA currently charges to register your drone. BEWARE.

I bought this drone because of the ease of being able to transport. The phantoms will have better quality but the mavic pro's quality is still pretty amazing. Also, if uploading video/photo, use the saved copy on the SD card. The video saved on the app isn't as good.

DJI has created another wonderful piece of equipment! This drone is simply amazing. Easy to fly, easy to transport, video camera takes amazing photos and videos, the gimbal movement is smooth and steady, lots of information readily available about the current flight on the controller (height, speed, distance, etc.) Highly recommended!

Small on the go sleek looks good in air flys excellent super fast up to 60 with wind

So this was my first drone, some may cringe at that but I havent had any issues with flying it. It runs smoothly, camera works great and DJI finally updated there app to fix the GPS error. My only issue is that I wish the bag was just a hair wider because the remote is a bit too tight for my liking and I ended up buying a joystick holder so they dont move around as much. the only other complaint I have is DJI support is awful I requested a replacement battery because one was DOA and ive been waiting 2 week for the return label to send it back to them as well as there is a language gap due to them only having CS in Hong kong so good luck if you have any issues with your drone. anyway I would still recommend this to anyone just test everything thoroughly before 15 days so if something is bad you can send it back to BBY or get a free replacement from DJI

The best drone ever in my opinion. What makes it the best is how small and portable it is. Bernard at Simi Valley Best Buy sold it to me. Great service. I have no regrets. Awesome videos and it's quiet. Not as loud as some YouTube videos make it seem.

Great features. Compacts for easy travel. I recommend upgrading to a hardened travel case instead of the bag that comes with it. Camera produces fantastic video. YouTube great for teaching all the Dos and Dont's with this new drone. Just getting started!

Great value for beginner to intermediate drone operators. Has everything you need

I've had a few cheaper drones and please know this is worth the extra money. It's nice to not have to worry about the flying as this basically flies itself. You can concentrate on the video which is nice.

After months of pondering this purchase, I finally decided to take the next step and make the purchase. I am so happy that I did. This Mavic Pro is very responsive and fun to fly. There is a lot of support and forums out there for you to learn new things and not feel so overwhelmed with this very sophisticated product. With practice and focus, you can really have fun with the Mavic Pro.

This is an excellent drone. Fully featured with 4k video. Absolutely no regrets.

Never owned a drone before I got the mavic really easy to fly and worth the money

This is a partial review because I've barely been able to use it. It's been a headache since I took it out of the box. First I had to get an apple or android device because I have a Windows phone.(my fault) Then I took it to the beach and couldn't fly it far because I had no Wi-Fi signal. Then I took it to an open field and while trying out "follow me" mode it took off backwards and up 30' into a tree and fell 50' onto a hard surface and didn't survive. That was 10/1/17. I'm still waiting for DJI to check the flight record and determine whether it was a malfunction or pilot error. They better cover the repairs. Besides waiting for a month customer service has been ok. I did have fun briefly while flying it.

Camera quality 8/10 Portability 10/10 Not as good of a camera for low light as DJI more expensive drones but it's my hands down winner for favorite because I can take it anywhere! It folds down the size of a Gatorade bottle. Flies fantastic! Shots are amazing!

This drone is not like any other! It's so easy to fly and has amazing features.

The Mavic Pro is small, but packs a big punch with 4K video, 12MP pictures, range of over 4 miles, and obstacle avoidance systems built-in. Best drone to date from DJI. Easily packed for travel, backpacking, hiking, etc. Easily fits in a small to medium camera bag.

Can you imagine it has more technology that F16 in 1970 ?? :) Basically it'a a copter (not drone :) ) you just can't crash If you can crash it - you should never have it. Pros : size batt lifetime 1080 60 FPS Cons : 4K 24 FPS (no 30 FPS in full 4K )

First drone, so nothing to compare it to, but it is really fun and easy to use.

Great upgrade from the Phantom 3 Standard. Love how much more portable this is.
