    Having gone from the DJI Phantom 1 to the DJI Mavic Pro and now the DJI Mini 2, I could not be more pleased with this mini unit. I has all the familiar controls of the previous line, but it is also easy for a newbie to launch and to merely press a button to have it return to home and land itself. What stands out with this unit is (1) the small size, (2) the great 4K resolution, (3) the battery / run time, (4) convenience of the battery charge pack, and (5) the overall feature set. I also love that the Fly More pack has everything that I need! I particularly like the Cine mode that is used for smooth cinematic filming. I tend not to fly the drone far away, so I've not made much use of the Sport mode - but I am using Normal mode to fly the drone to where I want to film before I flip it to Cine mode for filming. The mechanism on the controller that grasps my phone holds the phone firmly - and the short cable used to tether the controller to the phone is conveniently tucked away inside the controller after use. Like my prior drone, I have to remove my phone from its case to set it into the controller for use. I love everything about this unit. It is small, but it packs a full-featured punch. Convenient size. Great resolution. Loads of features. Highly recommend...

    I wasn’t too happy with the distance, I tried several times to reach the distance but it states it travels I was disappointing.

    Flew drone for less than 2 hours flight time and issues with the DJI flight controller software cause the drone to fly away and not return home. $700 wasted. Would not recommend until DJI can get the software issues fixed

    Great drone, crappy service by DJI. App took me and a Geek Squad member 45 minutes to make it function. App crashed a few months later. Other apps won't allow video or photos. I'm about to go back to Geek Squad, who have been awesome, to get this straightened out. Shame on DJI for not providing a complete product.

The maximum flight distance claimed on the DJI official website is measured when the aircraft is flying at 25 m/s in windless conditions (25°C) from taking off with a full battery level to the time when the aircraft triggers a low battery warning and automatically lands on the ground. However, during the actual flight, due to environmental limitations (temperature, wind power, and air pressure), interference, and other factors, the maximum flight distance may be decreased to different levels.     No Go Mini 2 Better of with Mavic Air 2

    Okay so this is the gist of this Mini 2. IF you are lucky to purchase one that works as it should, it is great. But that IF is a big IF. Purchasing the protection plan through Best Buy is useless because Best Buy cannot work on them. They can only send them back to DJI or an authorized DJI repair center. DJI offers the same coverage for $40. Problem is you are never able to actually get a hold of DJI when a problem exists. This one I bought on March 19th was one of several. This one the camera does not work. Right out of the box. DId all of the updates and calibrations, and nothing. Its going back, and I'm not trying again. Done with the Mini 2. Now I purchased the Mavic Air 2, and since day 1 Ive had absolutely no issues. I can only assume, and from what Ive gathered off of DJI forums, is that the Mini 2's are somehow flawed. So purchasing one that works appropriately, is hit or miss

    This is an item you think you will use but because it has the potential to fly away on its own and it has so many limitations on where it can be flown ... you will find it sitting in the bag with the batteries going bad in no time. Fully regret this purchase

    After purchasing this drone and trying for days to get it set up, I was eventually told by one of their support reps that my phone was not compatible with the required app and actually suggested that I get a new phone.. There is a list of a few phones on the DJI website that are compatible, everything else is a gamble. Of course no one told me about any of this before the purchase. Also the DJI support was not helpful at all.

    Drone & controller connection issues

    After about a month of use, the drone and remote wouldn’t pair to each other. I call dji. Not much of a help whatsoever. No video or anything would help. I resynced over and over and they just wouldn’t pair. Dji offered basically told me I would have to pay to get it repaired or I’m out of luck because I didn’t purchase dji care. I flew the drone 4 times. Short periods.

    A joke in the beginning right?

    Right now as I write this I am upset as hell. I bought this drone to use on a trip to Colorado for filming and a few other things. I waited a day, opened it up the day before my trip and found no propellers attached to the drone, and the back left motor arm is broken after unfurling it from the body one time. It is not like I let it snap back either. Now the arm refuses to fold, and the drone is useless for its intentions. I’m exchanging the morning of my trip, but plan to do a in store inspection of the drone before leaving to make sure everything is there at least. This is going to delay my trip by 3 hours as well so bonus points I guess.

    Wasn't impressed. Could be better. It's very light but the program that comes with it, DJI, needs a lot of work. At times I'll be flying and the program closes and I'm on the galaxy s20 -_-
