great product, an honest review

Owned for 1 month when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had the Mavic Mini and this one flies very similarly, but the camera is much better and shots are more crisp, and I have had much fewer issue's with getting this to sync up with the phone than I had with the original Mavic Mini. It is very easy to fly and there are a ton of great instructional video's online giving you great tips on how to fly this exact unit. The only thing I have noticed is that the batteries wear out quite a bit quicker on this unit than they did on the original Mavic Mini - but - they are considerably lighter than the original Mavic Mini batteries. I checked and they are compatible - so I tried and used my original Mavic Mini batteries in this unit and it worked perfectly with the extended run time - I am not sure why they reduced the weight and battery capacity on the Mini 2, but if it was me - don't buy the kit with the 2 extra batteries - just buy regular Mavic Mini battery charger kit and those replacement batteries as they have way more flying time, and from what I see - they cost less too - seriously - get the original Mavic Mini batteries !! these new Mavic 2 ones are very WEAK in comparison . . . .

Best little Drone

The Mini 2 is much better than 1st Mini for RC Transmission. So much better, makes upgrade worth it. The other improvements are nice and show the advancement on small crafts. Overall, it’s very similar to 1st Generation with improvements from Build, Camera, and RC Transmissions.

skip it, get the Air 2, Air 2S or Mavic 3

Owned for 1 year when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.This was my second DJI Mini 2 I had to purchase as part of my DJI Mini 2 saga nightmare, after buying this on Amazon with a plethora of issues I sent it back and went to grab this in person. And this one , ANOTHER Mini 2 from a WHOLE. SEPARATE. STORE. incorrectly paired to the aircraft to the controller and wouldn't unpair, and froze up. I returned this for the DJI Air 2 and BestBuy didn't hear me say even exchange so I had to shell out MORE $ and wait to get my refund on my card from BestBuy, all while my original $ with the first Mini 2 from Amazon was tied up for 7.5 weeks. The curse of the DJI Mini 2, I'm convinced it's a thing. These DJI Mini models are made with less material to get away with not registering thenl drones like with the Air 2, Air 2S, Mavic 3 etc and you get what you pay for. Just get the other models its worth it.

DJI Mavic Mini 2

This drone is easy to fly and picture quality is good. Only wish I could pair it to my DJI Smart Controller so I don't have to use my cellphone as a display. I also like having less flight restrictions using this product.

I am practicing for my FAA Part 107 and wanted a little drone to experiment with. I have been blown away with the capabilities that this lil bugger has, and am happily putting off my planned upgrade because I haven't found a need for it yet since this drone can do so much.

Althought you cant change dynamic range.. there is simplicity for just flying and getting some great shots out of the box .. comparison in getting this over mavic 2 air if you dont want to get hassled for its size. very fast very agile. id buy it again.
