The DJI Mini 3 Fly more combo is a perfect choice for someone looking to get into flying drones. The fly more combo pack is essential when buying the Mini 3 as it comes with a very nice carrying case, 12 replacement blades, 3 batteries plus a charging dock. The pack also comes with the DJI RC remote controller with a beautiful 6” touchscreen, and of course the drone mini 3 itself. The first thing I’m going to talk about is the RC remote. This is a very well-designed remote with many features, and a great build quality. The two metal joysticks, unscrew and can be stored on the back of the remote for easy storage. The joysticks are easy to control, due to the rivets on top – they are easy to maintain a solid grip the whole time. The remote has the DJI fly app built-in, so you won’t need to use your phone. With the Fly app you are able to download offline maps directly to your remote, you can access no fly zones, update GPS landing locations, you can also customize the buttons on the remote to your choosing. The remote sends a video signal from the drone to the screen so you’re able to see where you’re flying in real time. The video quality is very sharp, and I never experienced any lag or video disruption at all. Fly the drone with the remote is a dream, it controls very well, it incredibly responsive and feels great. As for the drone, it performs great. There are plenty of features that the mini 3 offer that makes it easy for anyone to fly. The drone has auto takeoff, as well as auto landing so you won’t need to worry about crashing on a land. The drone is equipped with an infrared sensing system and a downward vision system, this allows the drone to be able to hover stably. The RTH (return to home) feature lets the drone automatically return to the marked GPS signal where it took off. This acts as a failsafe in case the battery gets to low or the signal gets lost, thankfully I haven’t had the need to use this one yet. As for the camera on the drone, it is indeed very impressive. The stability is absolutely incredible, even at fast flying speeds the camera has zero shake and maintains a perfect centered shot. The camera can shoot up to 4K at 30 fps, with HDR. The footage looks great, it’s very crisp and sharp, I only have one complaint, the motion is choppy when shooting fast movements and this is at 4k 30fps. Still images look amazing, plus you can shoot in both vertical and horizontal with just the push of a button. The camera can be zoomed 4x with greatly detailed shots. The battery life on one standard battery is about 36min, of course this varies on how you use the drone. I found that the average fly time was around 30 mins for me on a single charge. This is where the extra 2 batteries really come in handy. The batteries run out a lot faster than you realize and having backups with you will save your day. With included battery dock, not only can it hold all three batteries, but it also lets you charge your remote incase that runs low on battery. Overall, the DJI mini 3 is a great drone that offers a lot of features. It truly is a blast to fly. With all the built-in safety features, it takes away a lot of stress and worries one would get about crashing. The combo pack is essential for this drone, as the carrying case and the batteries are definitely needed. The camera quality is nice, especially when taking still. And the RC remote makes flying feel comfortable a enjoyable. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a new drone.

If you are looking for a drone to improve your social media content, for real estate, etc., look no further. The DJI - Mini 3 Fly More Combo Drone was recently released and comes with just about everything you need to create those everlasting videos and pictures. As a car guy, and someone who enjoys the outdoors, I needed a drone that was stable, could shoot 4k, and was easy to handle. Well, the DJI - Mini 3 Fly More Combo Drone can do all of that and more. The 4k video quality is outstanding. The DJI - Mini 3 Fly More Combo Drone is so easy to fly. Even in mild wind. BUT before you fly, make sure you register your drone and comply with ALL FAA drone operating requirements. If you are doing it for business, there is a bit more that needs to be done, but if you are doing it as a hobby, its really easy. One you are registered, you're pretty much ready to fly (so long as you are not within a restricted area). If you are in a no-fly zone, you will not be able to fly without applying for permission via DJI's website. I live in a restricted area and in order to test the drone out before taking it outdoors, I had to apply for permission from DJI for test flying. If you are new to flying drones be very careful, as these things are extremely responsive. You have three different options for flying that range from normal, cinematic, and sports. I love the panoramic shooting, as well as vertical shot adjustments. The DJI - Mini 3 Fly More Combo Drone is easy to control and the screen on the control is great to watch your flight and make sure you are capturing an awesome shot. With three batteries included, you have more than enough fly time in between each battery. For extended flight time, you have the option of purchasing the intelligent flight battery plus. The storage bag is great and everything fits inside nice and tight. I would definitely recommend the DJI - Mini 3 Fly More Combo Drone to anyone. It definitely makes for a perfect gift this holiday season.

This is an excellent drone, and I just packed it up for my backpacking outing next week. I'm very excited to use this drone to document our trip, as we're hoping to start a backpacking/team-building consulting company. Having a small, light-weight drone like this means that its not a sacrifice of weight or space to bring it on the trip. This drone is also a great size for being able to do 360-degree home video walk-throughs when selling a house. This is what I use my drones for, and I always appreciate a small size, with excellent 4k video and up to 12 MP images. I typically walk with the done through the house, but with the built-in screen, I can do everything from one room if I want. The built-in screen is fantastic, it makes the controller so much better than a standard controller without a screen or using a cell phone a a screen or screen/controller. Really the only downside to this drone, especially if you are a beginner drone pilot, is the lack of waterproofing. Even as an experienced pilot, I won't fly this over water unless absolutely necessary.

    A blast to fly

I’ve had a fixed-wing RC plane/drone that I’ve flown for years, and it even has a basic camera on it. Taking my first flight with this DJI Mini 3, however, I felt like I’d suddenly entered the 21st century. Flying it is so simple and how it stabilizes itself even in a moderate breeze is just amazing. The videos it can capture are superb. Even though this drone is purposely under the 250g threshold that requires registration with the FAA, you do still need to do the free online training/testing to get your TRUST certificate to carry with you when flying. Another good resource is the B4UFLY app. You can use that to get automated LAANC approval to fly in certain controlled airspace areas. For example, I live just inside the edge of controlled airspace of our city’s airport. However, I can fly with auto LAANC approval if I stay under 150’ which is more than enough flying room. The DJI app seems to be very diligent at preventing people from flying in controlled areas, which is a great thing. In my case, it knows that I’m in what it calls an Authorization Zone so I have to jump through extra hoops before the motors will even power up. The app doesn’t require the LAANC approval (which you still legally need to get), but it does make you authenticate through your mobile phone to attest that you’ve done everything required. After that, you can take off and fly. Another great feature of the DJI app is that I can set a ceiling of, say, 140’ in the app so I don’t accidentally go over the 150’ limit. Once all the regulation stuff was taken care of and I got to fly—wow, what a blast! It has an auto take-off and landing feature and is super good at holding its position even with a breeze swirling around. It really is a great camera platform for capturing videos. I went ahead and bought a pair of 64GB microSD cards—one for the drone and one for the controller. From what I can tell, the controller one is used to store video cache of the live feed while you’re flying. The video capture on the drone itself is higher resolution, but if something goes wrong at least you have the live feed recorded, too. I highly recommend spending a little more to get the DJI RC controller (as opposed to the RC-N1) as it has the screen and DJI Fly app built in. It’s so much simpler to use than trying to connect and situate your phone in the holder. It’s also nice to use the built-in app so you don’t have to install the DJI Fly app on your phone. It’s not available in the Google Play store so you’d have to change your security settings to install it from an apk file. It has so many features it’s impossible to go into all of them here. Read the user guide for all the details, which you can easily download and go through before you buy. I will mention, though, the camera buttons are intuitive to stop/start video recording and take snapshots. You can pan the camera down 90 degrees and even up a fair distance. But the 3x digital zoom was especially useful. I was following my horses as they walked out in the pasture and I couldn’t get too close without disturbing them. With the zoom I was able to get some great footage of them just acting naturally. The Fly More Combo is very useful to have, too. Not only do you get two additional batteries and an external charger, but you get a nice carrying case and spare propellers. Hopefully I won’t need to use those last items. The case should be very handy when the weather warms up next spring. I plan to pack the drone with me on my e-bike so I can explore and hopefully get some nice footage of nearby lakes and parks. The Mini 3, the Mini 2, or Mini 3 Pro all seem like excellent drones. You just need to decide what features are most important and how much you want to spend. The Mini 3 is perfect for what I want to do, so I couldn’t be happier with it so far. I hope to get some really cool videos, but it’s also going to be a lot of fun just to fly.

WOW! The DJI Mini 3 is really pretty incredible. This package comes with 2 extra batteries, which you will definitely need. On a full charge I found that the batteries lasted about 20 minutes each rather than the advertised 30 minutes. Set up of the device was quite difficult for some reason. The app gave instructions for the Mini 3 Pro instead of the Mini 3 which created some confusion. I was finally able to get it figured out and did get it set up properly. I also had a little bit of issue getting the unit and remote control to connect with each other, but after a few tries they did eventually find each other. Once set up, firmware updated, and batteries charged, I was ready for my first flight. I was amazed at the relative ease of controlling the unit. I have used smaller/lighter drones a great deal and they are fun but can be a handful. Even in mildly windy conditions this unit did a good job maintaining its flight path. The camera is absolutely amazing. Be aware there are some added costs when purchasing this unit. You will have to register with the FAA ($5), you will need to purchase a mini-SD card to record footage from the drone if you intend to do that. It really should come with one but does not. Though it was advertised to include extra propellors my box did not. Also no power cube is included, though 2 very short usb c cords are included.
