||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Build is cheap( i guess it has to be since it has to be less than 250gram). The remote built quality nothing better than the drone, feels cheap. The remote is laggy and really slow. From the second you turn it on to connect it it takes 2 minutes. Screen is slow in response. Well if this cost me 400 $ i would be, ok that’s fine. But the full combo 1200-1300.hmmmmmmm. Than also the unit is overheating since it doesn’t have a fan. While you do a update it gets really hot. I guess this drone has a lot of downsides . I really wanna love it but i cant and therefore i would not recommend it

Posted .Dear customer,
We are sorry for the inconvenience caused.
1. Regarding the material problem, we will collect customers' opinions and evaluate all the feedback, thank you very much for your feedback.
2. Regarding the problem with the remote control, please turn off the remote and try again. If you still encounter the same problem, please send our support a related video. Here is the link: https://www.dji.com/support/repair
3. Regarding the problem of overheating. DJI Mini 3 Pro is designed without a built-in fan, which can effectively reduce power consumption to make the flight time longer. Additionally, the new structural design with propellers that have been adjusted for a more aerodynamic flight, which allows the drone to use the wind generated by the propellers to dissipate heat, ensuring good heat dissipation effects during the flight.
If the drone stays in standby mode for a long time, its temperature may continuously rise. DJI Mini 3 Pro comes with a built-in temperature control system that the drone can detect the current temperature and decide whether to automatically power off to prevent overheat.
The regular standby time periods of DJI Mini 3 Pro in the stationary state are as follows (measured in an indoor environment with an ambient temperature of 25℃). If exceeding the standby time, the aircraft may automatically power off to prevent overheating.
Best Regards,

DJI - Mini 3 Pro
||Posted . Owned for 5 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I recently tried out the DJI Mini 3 Pro Drone and Remote Control with Built-in Screen (DJI RC) in Gray, and I have to say, it's amazing! The built-in screen on the remote control is a game-changer, no need for extra devices. The drone is compact, lightweight, and easy to fly. The camera captures stunning 4K footage and the battery life is impressive. It's packed with intelligent features for a safe and smooth flying experience. I highly recommend the DJI Mini 3 Pro, it's a reliable and high-performing drone that won't disappoint.

Compact and loaded with features
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Pros Feature packed for a weight of 249 grams Easy to fly Includes obstacle sensors Powerful Very quiet and attracts less attention Small enough to not get attention RC remote avoids interruptions of using phone Includes some built in storage RC remote doesn’t overheat like phone when used RC remote usually feels snappy 10-bit color D-Cinelike recording option ND Filter options already available Props and drone never in shot Cons Still can’t fit side obstacle sensors Obstacle sensors don’t work during sunset/sunrise No cooling fan to save weight RC screen hard to see in sunlight Thumb sticks easy to lose Purchasing Care Refresh is awkward if note purchased immediately Design and Setup It’s a big claim for DJI to add the Pro a drone in their mini series. As others have said, it seems DJI intends for the Mini 3 Pro to be targeted between the Mini 2 and the Air 2S instead of replacing the Mini 2. It’s almost like they put the Mini 2 on a diet, cutting out a portion of the top above the gimbal, slimming up the body, and removing the landing feet on the prop arms in favor of tiny nubs on the bottom of the body. Regardless of the reason, they packed more features with no apparent sacrifice. If only they could have found some way to squeeze inside obstacle sensors while keeping the weight sub 250 grams but it’s hard to imagine accomplishing this without a new battery as that feels like the bulk of the weight. Out of the box, most of your time will be spent waiting to charge before flying. It charges via USB-C cable for box the drone and the RC Controller. Everything else is ready to go except registration, and firmware updates if you want to wait. The nice part of the new RC Controller is you get a complete remote with a reasonably bright screen and no worries of being interrupted by notifications or calls. Both the drone and controller have a micro-SD card slot for storage but it’s nice that DJI decided to include gigabyte of onboard storage in case you just wanted to take a few quick pictures or brief video. Performance and Usage The only prep that needs to be done to start flying is turn the remote and drone on, unfold the prop arms, and install the thumb sticks if you wish. You must exercise caution when installing the thumb sticks because the holders on the back of the remote stick and it’s not hard to lose them as they pop out. That said, the controller works nicely without them to the point where it would be nice if DJI offered D-pad style buttons that you can just if you wish. Either that or at least allow the thumb sticks to fold down so you don’t risk dropping them. A nice touch on the body of the drone is deploying the prop arms. Unlike older models, there is no specific order to fold or unfold them. They move in different directions so as not to interfere with each other. It’s a subtle but nice touch. The gimble cover works well enough and is easy to get off but a bit awkward to put back on. If you are the type to carry your drone around turned on and ready for the perfect time to launch, you are going to need to adjust your habits. Because of the weight savings the only cooling of the drone is done during flight. This means if you leave it on for more than about 5 minutes it goes into thermal shutdown. It doesn’t even require you to move in flight for the cooling to work. Surprisingly, the Mini 3 gets enough cooling while hovering to not trigger a thermal shutdown in 105-degree weather. Thankfully it doesn’t take that long to boot up, so a workaround is to leave it off but leave the RC on. The controller takes quite some time to boot but doesn’t have the cooling problems. By having the controller booted you can just start up the drone and be ready to launch in about a minute. With the right clothing you can even have the Mini 3 in one pocket and the controller in another so you can focus on choosing your location. This leads into another nice feature of the size of the Mini 3. It is small enough to not attract much attention. This is even more so with how quiet it is. If you have it hovering in place even 40 feet in the air it is barely audible. The only time you really hear it is if you move aggressively or it is fighting wind. Speaking about fighting the wind, this little drone does a surprisingly good job handling the wind. This all comes in handy for those times where need to get the shot without being disruptive. Of course, if needed you can stay farther away and crop in, but you are going to lose some fidelity. Allowing the gimbal to tilt up allows for new filming options but DJI made a subtle but welcomed change to the design. The forward and rear collision sensors are in pods on either side of the gimbal. When you tilt the gimbal up the notch between the pods are not visible, but neither are the props. Between the cutout above the gimbal and the new prop arms being longer even if you fly full speed forward with the gimbal tiled full vertical and you don’t see the drone or props in the shot. While it’s great to not have to use your phone and worry about the screen dimming from overheating, the RC controller doesn’t have the brightness to overpower direct sunlight. On full brightness you can see enough to change settings and frame your shot but flying via the remote screen could be challenging in bright sunlight. For reference, it’s like how bright smartphones used to be a few years ago before they started having brightness levels over 1000nits. It’s still very workable but just may occasionally require shading the screen to see better. The remote feels high quality and the video stayed clear without any dropouts or delays. In fact, unless you fly behind a structure or in metal you would likely lose site of the Mini 3 before the RC controllers loses signal. In all but a few rare cases the remote has been snappy. The few times it seems to lag could have also been explained by not doing the gesture correctly. Also, if you are flying under Part 107, the RC controller has the option to log and upload your flights. There are too many features and options to possibly cover and DJI has been aggressively updating both the drone and RC controller since launch making covering everything near impossible. We can just touch on the core features of ActiveTrack and obstacle avoidance. ActiveTrack so far has been the favorite and makes if feel like you have pet following you. In good lighting it follows you reliably and avoids obstacles smoothy with some caveats. It requires good lighting to work and quick direction changes might temporarily confuse it, but it tries to find you again. Low lighting is also where see the lighting limitation in obstacle avoidance as well. It works perfectly in good lighting most cases but when lighting changes quickly or you get near something small such as very small tree branches it begins to struggle. The good thing is both the limitations of ActiveTrack and obstacle avoidance are very consistent in where they start to have issues allowing you to quickly learn in what situations they work best and plan ahead. Final Thoughts While the Mini 3 Pro has the word Pro in its name, it feels like the primary customer this was made for is smaller content creators who are still learning their craft. Someone who needs something more than a Mini 2 but isn’t quite ready for an Air 2S or Mavic or even a Pro who wants to have something more portable for quick shots or even vertical shots for social media without the need for cropping. While there is a learning curve to master all the features and options to take full advantage of its capabilities, DJI has done a nice job keeping things easy enough to start learning without feeling overwhelmed. You can take photos and videos in full auto and get respectable results. As you master your skills and level up to shooting raw photos and D-Cinelike videos you can learn how to grade them the way you want in post. Not only is it easy to fly, if you leave it in cinema or standard mode it is very hard to crash. You can also go a step further and pay for their Care Refresh insurance for an extra piece of mind. However, it is best to decide if you want to do this before activating the drone because if you active it and skip by the prompt to purchase Care Refresh, the process to purchase later gets more complicated.

DJI - Mini 3 Pro
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The DJI Mini 3 pro is a huge improvement over the mini 2. The active track feature works well. I used this in the mountains of Colorado to follow a jeep on an off road trail. The mini 3 avoided all the trees it encountered. The new remote control with built-in screen is much better for daylight than trying to use a phone screen. The controller is instantly ready to go, no fumbling with your phone - this makes the use of the drone much more spontaneous. The larger capacity batteries are a must have - they definitely double the flight time of the drone and eliminate the worry of the battery dying before you can recover the drone in rough mountain terrain.

Fun Beginner Drone.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am what you may call a “noob” when it comes to drones, and I have bought two so far, having returned one of them. The one I kept is this Mini 3 Pro while the one I returned is the DJI Avata. Why I am mentioning this is because the Avata and the Mini 3 are sometimes compared as to which would be better for a beginner, because they can both be considered beginner drones in their own respective categories. As for why I returned the Avata, other than it not being quite “my cup of tea,” it is because the price adds up quickly if you wish to get invested in the drone, so if you are not willing to part with nearly 2 grand, as well as wanting a calmer done experience, then I 100% recommend the Mini 3 Pro. Just to get the pricing out of the way this drone, including a controller will have you part ways with either $759 or $909, the cheaper of the two comes with a controller of which you use your phone as the screen to see what the drone is seeing, while the more expensive of the two has a built in screen, which is more intuitive in my opinion. I will also add on that the former gets better range connectivity, while the ladder is far more convenient and has a bit more features on the controller itself, so it is up to you at the end of the day. As for how the drone itself functions, it is a dream to fly, along with the amazing camera, which often surprises my friends because of the shockingly good quality in such a small camera, and not to mention the smart features on this half a pound drone, it is all truly mind blowing. The only real extra purchase that most normal people such as me will consider is the fly more kit, which will come with some extra propellers, 2 extra batteries, a charger that can charge 3 batteries at once, as well as a carrying bag with can carry all of your Mini Drone possessions. You can either get the normal fly more kit or the fly more kit plus, the only difference being the batteries, the normal fly more kit will give you batteries that have a flight time of 34 minutes, and will keep you under 250 grams (which may be helpful to you depending on your countries drone weight requirements), while the fly more kit plus gives you batteries that have 47 minutes of flight time, which will also put you over the 250 gram mark. The normal fly more kit will cost you $189, getting the plus combo will add another $60 to that price tag. All of this may sound like a lot of cash, but when you see what you are getting, it is worth it, there are plenty of other drones out there that cost more but are not worth the extra price. So if you can afford it, and wish to get into drones, then I would say this is the drone for you.

Jet Pack Dog That Can Follow You Anywhere
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Several windy flights in and a little bit of amateur video and photos. Mini 3 Pro has many improvements over the predecessor. Mainly the camera quality and additional sensors make this like a dog with a jet pack now that DJI included the Focus Track modes for tracking videos. It follows and avoids most obstacles pretty good as long as you don't go too fast. Another boost to the Mini 3, flight time is almost what is quoted, even in the windy tilted flight that I flew the past couple days. Then there's the new DJI RC controller. With a built in screen, it is quite a nice feature and brighter than expected, but some might find it dimmer and slower then some flagship phones. Last update I want to mention is the ability to tilt the camera. I doubt the tilt camera feature will be much use for me short of filming obelisks, but nice to have it as an available option. As for a couple concerns I read about while waiting for delivery and tested during my flights. Drone does get hot while hovering and file transfer. Recent updates likely fixed hot hover issue in all but the hottest flight locales. I never saw any over heat warning in flight. But, it did shut down the drone during file transfer. Although, it still let me transfer data to the phone without further heat warnings. Also, some mentioned the screen was hard to see in full sun. The screen at max brightness is very visible at noon in full daylight. It can catch some glare, I had no issue seeing it in July's Ohio summer sky. What bugged me a bit was how slow the RC controller boots (powers on) and really needs to be tethered to Wi-Fi through cellular Hotspot if you don't cache the maps ahead of time. So accustomed to the phone just doing this job, didn't occur that the phone was still needed for best data transmission. As you can see in one of the photos. The hotspot dropped and while GPS was still locked, I had lost maps. This was likely my error. In that same photo, you can see a screen prompt that what was once a fast SD card. Mini 3 Pro says is slow. Lastly, my Mini 2 has a prop holder to keep blades folded/contained while stored. The Mini 3 Pro did not come with this very handy plastic band/device. The Mini 3 blades flop around and will need something. I loosely used a Velco'like band. The Mini 3 Pro is an easy to fly pleasure with the new DJI RC. And this package is probably the combo to get you into the MINI 3 Pro. Just know you should have hotspot available with your phone service to best use the new RC controller. Also give serious consideration to adding the Fly More Battery Combo when they become available. They seem to be sold out or backordered right now. The one battery you do get, needs over an hour on USB to charge up for another flight. And don't forget to buy a very fast SD Card. Last years Ultra and Extreme cards don't seem to cut it anymore.

Compact Design and very Fun!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The first thing to know is the box is 7”x5”x5.5” so when they say mini, it truly is mini. When the propellers are folded in the drone will fit in your pocket. Makes it easy to take anywhere. Be prepared to spend some time setting this up. First thing is to charge both the drone and remote control unit. Heads up, it’s a micro cable. I had no way to plug this into the wall to charge, fortunately I was able to do plug it into my laptop. The drone itself is easy to setup. Pop on the propellers and plug in the battery. There is a cover called the “gimbal protector” over the camera that easily snaps off. The remote control unit too is easy to assemble. There are two control sticks that reside under the remote control unit. Pop them out and screw them in. There is a setup video you can watch as well as directions that can be downloaded. The instructions that come with it are no help. The document is quite small so the text which is provided in multiple languages is so small it is difficult to read even with glasses! The on line document is a much better choice. Both the online document and the startup video refer to pulling out the mobile phone holder and attaching your phone. With the mini 3 pro, there is no mobile phone holder. There is a screen on the remote control device thus the no need to attach a mobile phone to view the images from the drone. Next you’ll setup an account. It seemed to go in a bit of a circle and after several attempts an account was created. Other basic setup questions are asked, be sure to select the correct language and time zone for you. The time zone matters as you will get a message saying the unit will not work if the time zone is incorrect. Then a firmware update occurred. Be prepared this took some time, about 30 minutes to install. Then there was some type of device update and at this point I thought I would be able to start flying the drone. However, there was an error about the gimbal cover not being removed. I was sure I had removed that very difficult to miss plastic cover and all the standard shipping tape. Another look and I found a little black piece of soft packaging material. Once removed the error went away. At this point the drone itself has been on for a while with periodic red and green lights. The unit had heated up to a point it was too hot to fly. It took about 15 minutes too cool down. I was then able to give it a quick test flight. At one point I hovered it about two feet off the ground. My very curious dog came over to see what it was and got her nose clipped with the propeller. Both the dog and the drone were fine. It does come with extra propellers. You’ll want to get an SD card, although the drone will store some photos there isn’t a lot of storage. You’ll want a spot to plug the charging cable into for charging. Overall, it’s a nice compact design, video/pictures are very good quality. Be prepared to spend some time to get started. Very fun once its operational.

Best portable drone yet!
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my 4th DJI drone and the best one by far. It's portable, battery is great. The preset assisted flying options are super easy for any user that can read the manual on how to use them. The remote control with the built in screen is definitely the way to go. Before, you used to have to set up your phone, turn off notifications and prepare for the flight. For the pros, this is probably not convenient but for the hobbyists, this is discouraging. The remote control with the built in screen makes it easy and convenient for you to just pick up the drone and fly with no setup other than keeping your battery charged. The photo and video quality is superb. If you're looking for portability and ease of use, this is your drone!

Excellent Update to the Mini Series!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My first drone was a DJI Mini 2, and it was a revelation. Small and light, great flight time, solid controller, excellent video and photo quality, and above all easy to fly with confidence. And the small size meant it was a very inconspicuous drone--get it 50 or 100 feet in the air and it basically disappears from sight and sound. The Mini 3 Pro takes everything great about the Mini 2 and cranks it up a notch. Same size, but with better image quality thanks to a larger sensor and faster aperture, plus a gimbal that can tilt upwards and to portrait orientation. Longer flight time with the standard battery, and even more with the extended-flight battery. The new RC controller is excellent, removing the need to tie up a phone or tablet. And if anything, the Mini 3 Pro is even more quiet than the Mini 2. The easy flight characteristics are still there, and enhanced with obstacle avoidance and active tracking. There are things that could be better, of course--but in terms of bang for the buck and features for the size, the Mini 3 Pro is at the top of the heap for now. The Mini 2 is still excellent, and cheaper--but if you can jump to the Mini 3 Pro, you definitely should.

Simply Amazing.
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I own a Gen 1 mini and a Mavic 2 Pro. A close friend of mine owns a Gen 2 Mini and I really liked how it handled better in the wind. While the Mavic 2 Pro is simply amazing, I end up flying the mini more because it is easier to travel with. The Gen 3 Mini is literally the best of both worlds, it is extremely quiet, super light, dedicated controller, amazing sensors, amazing fly time, amazing range, amazing video, easy to fly, super stable, decent in high winds, super easy to transfer photos and videos to your phone and just extremely fun to fly. DJI has really taken my favorite little drone and made it an absolutely powerful stunning drone that is feature rich. If you are on a budget the mini 1/2 is plenty good but if you have the means Go mini 3 with a fly more kit. I’m probably going to also purchase the Mavic 3 in the future because I’m curious to see how insane that drone will be. Most likely just faster and slightly better photo specs. But anywho this is a purchase I really would do again!!!

Incredible Piece of Equipment!
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have been interested in a DJI drone since the first model was released years ago, waited for the retail technology to finally hit pro level and align with an affordable price and here we are first drone ever purchased DJI Mini 3, ordered during the initial pre-order and waited 2 months for arrival...definitely worth the wait...easy as a toy to fly and ab incredible amount of precision and technology in this small package. Out of the box, very simple removal of some shipping protection, set myself up with an hour of Youtube videos while the batteries charged to learn the RC remote and how to fly, connected the remote to my wi-fi awaiting updates, updates sent to the mini 3, both componets rebooted, established a DJI account in the process, placed a Samsung 128GB micro-SD and made my way outside for first flight. Spent some time in the settings to establish the parameters for flight controls and image capture, i also set to fly with the active map in the corner of the remote screen for additial location reference. The drone has auto-take off and auto-landing ..cannot get any easier. I was up to 300' and flying around my neighborhood in minutes. Imaging on the remote screen is excellent, controls are perfect, I have been flying with 20-30 satellites connected. The active avoidance removes the risk of hitting anything mid-flight, the remote has a good amount of buttons but if your familiar with any modern video game controller you will not have any issues. Reviewed my 4k video capture after the flight....incredible vivid footage. I cannot wait to bring this drone along when I travel. Very impressed with the overall package, I have also ordered the fly more extended life batteries and case. I am not a content creator or a drone flying enthusiast, just a normal guy who likes to try out new tech. If your like me you will be blown away at what this DJI mini 3 has to offer.
