What a joy to fly! Zero drone experience here. Just read the manual and get to know the controller and app functions. Dont buy cheap drones as a starter, you will regret how unstable they are. I tried the snaptain brand and it was garbage; hovering is a nightmare and you will be scared of flying it higher.

Couldn’t fly the drone - due to the proximity to the DC area. It’s a nice drone. Make sure to check your locality - if you’re close to the airport or a restricted area - the drone will NOT fly

I loved the DJI product. I really want to get DJI mini 4 pro with the new features. Hopefully I get my hands on it. Excellent design and thought process put on to making this drone possible. Love it

Awesome high quality beginner drone. The auto track feature is remarkable, wind resistance is solid, and the controller is very intuitive. I love it for my first drone and will eventually get another DJI for sure.

Great starter toy, and the best buy insurance definitely helps! The only thing is that the battery life is short and you can't let it overheat or else it wants to shut off. Just something to keep in mind when planning to use it but can be prepared for.

Drone is very easy to fly, good picture and video quality from the camera, only draw back is battery life, but this drone isn’t any different in that regard than other drines

This is the first drone I’ve ever used and I like that it has training videoes that are short enough to keep your attention and packed with great info for newbies like me. It’s relatively easy to use and the videoes have great resolution.

Absolutely love it. I’ve taken it to so many adventures, cold, hot, wind, etc. It just works. Plus, the controller with the screen is much better than using your phone. Wish the range was a bit better though.

Bought this drone for easy carry and I might say, I am super impressed with the quality of the footage and all the build in modes. I’ve had the OG mavic pro since it first came out and I thought a drone could get any better until I bought the mavic mini pro.

This thing fits in my tiny 4L sling bag so I basically just carry my drone everywhere now. The remote with the built-in screen felt like a gimmick, but it makes a massive difference in lowering the "friction" to launching a drone, and that means I fly my drone that much more.

Good. Battery last 30 minutes or less. But great size and easy to use.

As a beginner, I never wanted to risk spending a a lot of money on a drone until the camera was good quality and they make it easy to handle for a beginner Like me. The DJI Mini 3 is the best drone for me. Master evasion sensors and images and video are great! Light!

Major upgrade from mini 2 and only downside is the range if you pair it with the controller with built in screen as the antenna are built in and no like the RC-N1 where they extrude out

This was my first experience with drones specifically DJI drones and I must say this drone is phenomenal. Very easy to use with lots of videos online to learn more I recommend this drone for a beginner or novice.

Amazing drone. Love all the safety features. Built in screen allows me to save my cellphone battery for other things. Worth the extra money. Only issue with the controller is the brightness on a sunny day, but then again you would have that same issue with your phone.

Works well but certainly not flawless ... Out of the box the unit had to update its software, easy enough until the Drone and Remote refuse to pair for an hour. End up with tech support manually connecting the units. 2 hour ordeal. The Controller is quirky to say the least. It really likes to beep over stupid stuff and they chose the most obnoxious beep tone money could buy. Interface is forced and doesn't allow you to efficiently navigate the DJI pages. Huge issues registering the product in the DJI store, luckily not while flying thus far Lastly takeoff and landing. Ive had the unit "override" me multiple times and it forces you to use auto takeoff/landing. My issue is when I tried to bring it down to land on a safe area it kept buffering the ground at 4-5 feet and began going straight up ... into a tree ... 5 times ... I could not land it safely on flat ground and the tall grass force-stopped the blades forcing an error message (and beeps) from the controller. The whole time I'm freaking out jamming my down stick because the unit is actively flying itself up into a tree branch ignoring my control imputs

The DJI Mini 3 Pro and Remote Control with Built-in Screen is an excellent product for the casual consumer and even more advanced content creators. My main purposes for it are to capture video of my motorcycling groups and off-roading adventures for online content. I may also use it for my review blog. The first thing you notice is that this is a small drone. Weighing in at 249g, it's lightweight. But don't let the size fool you; this is a powerful drone with 4k video and an excellent camera. This little guy packs a 1/1.3-inch CMOS chip and the lens has a maximum aperture of f/1.7. You can also switch between portrait and landscape modes, and the gimbal easily pivots 90 degrees. Even as a lightweight mini drone, it includes 3-way (front/back, side, and below) obstacle avoidance. While I wish it had overhead obstacle avoidance, that's really just an extremely picky quibble on a drone this small. The only real deficits due to the size are battery life and a tendency to get a bit overheated. But those are tradeoffs I'll gladly make. Image quality is impressive right out of the box. Colors tend to be saturated but remain crisp. The same is true of the video quality. Of course, there's not a lot of internal storage, so you'll want to pop a micro SD card into the easily-accessible slot on the back. This particular pack includes the smart controller, which has a large 5 1/2 inch, well-lit (700 nits) touchscreen that I've had no issues viewing in direct light. Image quality on the screen matches well with the image quality when I download the photos and video for viewing on another device. With the smart controller, you don't need to use your phone as a viewport. The controller is self-contained. Controls are relatively easy to sort out. I think the only "hidden" control that a beginner may not know is to swipe up from the bottom to access the follow menu (allows you to either focus on a specific point or individual or automatically follow them). In my use so far, I've really loved how easy it is to use the controller without worrying about mounting my phone. I'm in the air extremely quickly. You also get a spare set of propellers because, well, you know. A screwdriver, USB-C cable, and tinted gimbal guard are also in the box. As usual with DJI, your three flight modes are Cine (better for keeping video smooth), Normal (I tend to use when doing photos), or Sport (great for moving a bit more quickly, but turns of obstacle avoidance). Sport mode reportedly reaches more than 35mph. You select your mode with a slider switch on the face of the controller. While DJI claims flight time of 34 mins with the new Intelligent Flight Battery, you'll start getting heavy warnings about battery life after about 25 minutes of flight, especially if you do much video or photography. In short, this is a terrific mini drone. It immediately became my favorite little flyer.
