Bought a Brand New Defective Drone, DJI Made Me Pa

I've owned two Mini 3 Pros since the drone came out last year. My first one, I loved it worked amazingly, 5/5 stars. However, I had a recent new experience with a brand new drone that left me very disappointed and genuinely scared of the drone and the lack of accountability from DJI. One day I figured I'd try out the new Mini 3 so my old one didn't get all the flight time, within 4 minutes I had a flyaway incident. Before the crash, I got a notification saying some motors were seizing up, so I began bringing it home. On the route home, the drone went full roll, and yaw to the left at maximum power and simply crashed into the roof with no warning, nothing I could have done to stop it. Laughing the situation off because the crash was so comically out of my control I sent the drone to DJI for repair. After they looked at the flight log concluded that it was pilot error that caused the crash. They sent me the flight analysis and they had all of the information correct except for the fact that they were fully 100% convinced that I chose to leave my smooth directional path and crash into a building 50 feet away. While their conclusion has a reality gap I respect their decision to stick with the data, that's reasonable to me. But I have flown this same drone for many miles and many hours. This was not an input that I made and the speed it transitioned was not in the characteristics of the drone itself. I purchased a defective product that had the props on the left side of the aircraft seize up causing the drone to over-correct and wreck autonomously. Now I'm paying the bill for DJI's manufacturing errors and a product I can no longer trust. DJI I'm not looking for a refund or a reimbursement. I just want you to give me the benefit of the doubt and offer me nothing but peace of mind that you're looking into the issues. For nothing more than the safety of your customers and bystanders. Gaslighting me, albeit a thorough analysis that contradicts my claims is fine, errors happen it's cool. But your disregard for the safety of others is upsetting. I loved my DJI Drones but after this incident and the lack of accountability, I will be selling my three DJI drones and replacing them with something that can be guaranteed not to dive-bomb people in the future. Here is the analysis for transparency 1. Unit was in SPORT mode and was working as designed. The unit took off with good GPS signal. 2. At t=636.3s, relative height=4.4m, the unit recorded an impact. 3. User commanded PITCH back, ROLL left, YAW left, and THROTTLE up, prior to impact. 4. Unit was moving back, left, and descending, prior to impact. 5. User was not able to allow enough time for the unit to brake before impact. 6. Obstacle avoidance is not active in Sport mode. Please refer to the user manual for more details.

I went in to buy drone. Sales associate didnt clearly advise of the features and diffrences on my drone. I get home and watch vidoes only to find out the model I bought does not do what is needed. I go back next day to exchange for more expensive drone and get hit with a 15% restocking fee. Crazy have to pay to spend more in store. Next time i think ordering from a big online company would be best to avoid this . Never buying electronics from here again. Worse part was employee answer to me was "i just work here "

      Dear customer,

We feel sorry to hear about the issue you encountered. May we know if you have sent the package back? If you have not shipped it out, could you please try to use another charging cable or charger to see if the battery can be charged? Please also try to charge the battery on the aircraft directly to isolate the case. You can contact us at http://www.dji.com/support for further troubleshooting.

      Best Regards,
      DJI Support DJISupport
