Customers appreciate the Mini 4 Pro's exceptional camera quality and ease of use, frequently praising its user-friendly design. Positive feedback also highlights the impressive battery life and effective obstacle avoidance features. However, some users noted challenges with wind resistance and the drone's weight, particularly when using the higher-capacity battery.

DJI Mini 4 Pro Raises Bar on Drone Flight

The DJI Mini 4 Pro is the pinnacle of portable drones with a 4k camera, long battery life, and 360-degree obstacle avoidance.
Out of the box, the combo includes a premium soft carrying case with shoulder strap, 3 sets of replacement blades, USB-A to USB-C cable, USB-C to C cable, 3 intelligent flight plus batteries and charger. The included batteries last for 45 minutes and are heavier than standard, pushing the drone slightly over 250-gram limit for unregistered drones in the US. However, only a $5 FAA registration is required to be in compliance. The carrying case has neat compartments for the drone and each accessory. Also included are replacement screws and even a screwdriver for the blades.
Drone kicks out some serious heat, even when sitting on the ground. Concave vents on the front of the drone behind the gimbal provide cooling to the battery and electronics. Best practice is to take the drone off shortly after it is powered on, if possible, to avoid overheating. When browsing the gallery for extended periods of time drone does go into an “eco” mode to conserve battery life and reduce heat.
In daylight, drone effortlessly avoids obstacles due to a sensor array which detects 360 degrees around the drone, including above and below. However, at night or in sport mode object avoidance is unavailable. Drones can either bypass obstacles and continue its course or will halt nearly a foot before the obstacle. Tested obstacle avoidance with a variety of objects. An audible warning and directional alert on the screen are triggered when the drone approaches an obstruction. Flew the drone straight into the woods and it gracefully avoided even small trees. Drone only failed at bypassing 1 obstacle in my testing, a very slim flagpole. Although impacting the flagpole at a high speed I could not see any damage.
GPS positioning makes drone effortless to fly. Even at high altitudes on a windy day the drone held its position precisely. My wife was eager to try it out and was able to fly the drone confidently with no prior experience. Have flown the drone out over a quarter mile away, past trees with no issue/signal degradation. In the case the drone does lose connection or runs low on battery, an auto return-to-home protocol is prompted where the drone autonomously flies back and lands right where it took off.
Camera can record at 4k and 1080p at 60fps in normal mode and at 30 fps in night mode. In slow motion mode, the camera can record at 4k100 or 1080p200. Videos can be shot in normal, HDR HLG, or D-Log M color profiles. Additionally, the camera can record in either horizontal or vertical aspect ratios with a turn of the gimbal. Vertical aspect ratio is especially handy for the mobile content creator. Drone can bank nearly 90 degrees with the gimbal keeping the footage completely stable.
Camera quality is top notch, even at night with crisp details. Photos can be taken in either jpeg, raw, or both formats. Can also choose between a 12 or 48 megapixel image. Double-stage photo button allows for focusing before an image is shot. There is also a choice between auto focus and manual focus. Images are quite sharp for such a small camera. Pro controls make a return as well for the tweaking and fine-tuning of camera settings.
Drone has internal storage of 2GB. While being adequate for a few pictures, I was unable to get more than 2 minutes of 4k30 footage. Both the drone and controller have a microSD slot.
The new DJI RC2 Remote Controller addresses many of the shortcomings which plagued older controllers. For starters, the new controller has its own touchscreen. A big step-up for me as I once had to remove my phone’s case each time to mount it on an older DJI controller. Controller also runs the DJI Fly app natively on its own version of Android. Ergonomics of the controller are great with textured, rubberized grips which fit my hands comfortably. New controller features some extra buttons, such as the return to home button, speed selector, and 2 programmable rear buttons. Wheels on the top of the controller control the up to 3x optical zoom and camera vertical tilt. Up to 60 degrees up and 90 down. Like previous DJI controllers, joysticks unscrew and are stored on the rear of the controller.
At night, drone activates a bright LED spotlight when nearing the ground. This is useful for landing at night when paired with the AR representation of the drone’s position and size over the ground in the DJI Fly app. Programmable button is handy for quickly snapping the camera to face directly down to aid in landing as well. Home point and waypoints are also represented on the screen.
Overall, if you are looking for the best, cutting-edge Drone in a compact form-factor, the DJI Mini 4 Pro is for you.

I don’t know where to begin this review! This is by far and away the nicest drone I have ever had the pleasure of flying. SO MANY features packed into such a compact, portable package.
*
I’ll give you the TL;DR first- this drone package is perfect for you whether you are a novice, a pro, or somewhere in between. It has many features that a pro will appreciate but it’s quite easy to fly especially with the automated take off and landing sequence and obstacle detection sensors. The RC2 controller is amazing, with an awesome touchscreen, and with the larger spare flight batteries that are included you get quite a bit of flight time. There is a serial battery charger housing included, you will need to provide a usb-c charger. The DJI charger is 30 watts, higher than most usb-c phone chargers so I’d recommend getting that one to minimize your charging time. The battery housing has a usb-a out port to allow charging of the controller also.
*
Through the controller or through the DJI app you can view about 50 hours of detailed instructional videos and learn about your new aircraft. I highly recommend going through the course at least once and it’s a good resource if you need to refer back to it.
The weather here has been pretty crappy with rain and high winds whenever I’ve had time to fly but I have got a few flights in. I found this drone easy to control and quite agile, the camera controls work like you’d expect and the image quality amazes my friends. It’s also able to shoot in a couple 10 bit modes which I haven’t messed with yet but I understand they provide better quality for post processing. You might want to consider picking up a set of DJI’s neutral density filters also, I feel they make colors more vibrant and the ND256 filter can be used to add an artistic motion blur to your action shots if you’d like.
Photos and videos are easily transferred directly to your mobile device from the aircraft using the DJI FLY app, it’s super easy to view and select.
With the wind we’ve been experiencing I do appreciate that the Mini 4 Pro can hold a hover in up to a wind speed of 10.7 m/s or 23.9 mph.
The aircraft itself folds up into a small package and includes a strap to protect the blades. There’s also a cover to protect the sensitive gimbal when it’s not in flight.
***
Make sure to go and take the TRUST exam (it’s free, and required for recreational flying in the US), print your certificate, and keep it in your flight bag.
***
The controller map as well as the mobile app will have areas of restricted airspace marked. These are places, generally near airports, where you need special permission to fly. Make sure to follow all rules and regulations of the areas where you fly and be safe!

Bought the Fly More Combo Plus hoping for the larger batteries and also knowing it would transit my ID instead of having to buy a transmitter for an additional cost. I don't fly for any sort of business just to goof around and see the forest around my house. Could I have purchased a much cheaper option? Yep and I have a couple of times but none of my previous purchases really match the build quality of the DJI Mini 4 Pro. You can turn this on and once it links to satellites its ready to go, no calibration needed. I have had other drones with tons of features but all required some sort of calibration process when first powered on and really I just wanted to be able to turn it on and go. This drone allows that. Plus the RC 2 controller has a bright easy to use screen which doesn't need a cell phone. Plus it just feels well made and solid. My previous drone controllers needed your cell phone and would always lose the link between the controller and the phone while my drone was up in the air. Never a good feeling thinking your investment is flying away and there is nothing you can do about it. The RC2 controls are easy, there are tons of features, and all in easy to understand prompts. I was hoping I didn't get lost in a weird clunky app or some language translation that took a while to decipher. None of that is the case here it is easy to understand and follow and is effort free to use. I am surprised at how far this drone goes and never loses a signal or even loses bars of strength. Overall I was worried I would get another clunky drone that required some elaborate calibration each time I turned it on and instead this is power up and play. I really like how agile it is and quick to respond. Also, I like that it has sensors built in that warn you as you are getting close to objects. It did take a couple of minutes trying to figure out how to land and take off and I admit I needed some Google time to look for videos from other users showing me what I was doing wrong.
Drawbacks are really just the included battery charger as it charges one battery at a time in series even though all can be plugged in at the same time. I know you can get better chargers but for the price of this drone it should really include all you need. If that is the only drawback though then it is a true winner which it is.
It would be cool if DJI created some sort of chart that shows each customer what additional requirements or accessories are needed or even useful depending on exactly which drone they buy. If that chart included links to get FAA Certified according to what you plan to do along with additional requirements like the link to the TRUST certificate and even if you have all that maybe suggestions for accessories like some sort of light that your drone emits that can be seen over 3 miles which is also an FAA requirement for flying at night. I had no idea until today about this last requirement. That is an additional purchase but if everything was spelled out in an easy to understand format for customers it would make it more simple and effortless to purchase the correct drone. That being said, this drone is amazing, the camera takes incredibly clear photos and videos, just make sure the memory stick you purchase is high speed or the controller will use it but send you a warning your memory card is too slow.
Would I buy the Mini 4 PRO again? Definitely

This drone is packed with features. It's easy to fly, and fun to use. It takes great videos and photos. It's almost dummy proof. Even a beginner can fly this with confidence. I love the waypoint features, and the 360 degree sensors make it safe to fly. Though you can crash any drone, this one isn't prone to crash. I've been in a lot of tight spots but have never crashed it. The battery life is good. The combo kit is a must. I can get well over an hour of flytime with the standard battery. A lot more with the extended battery.

The Mini 4 Pro drone is very advanced, high quality mini drone. The best features are the image quality in both photographs and video. Image stabilization for video is especially good. I also really like the controller with the integrated screen and not having to pair a controller with a cell phone. I got this mostly for my job. I work for a small architectural firm and this will allow me to look at buildings during surveys in ways I haven’t been able to in the past.
The package comes with the drone, a controller with a built-in screen and wi-fi connection, 3 batteries, a battery charger, some extra propeller blades and some charging cables. One thing it doesn’t come with is instructions. There is a quick start setup guide that gives you QR codes and websites for DJIs downloads page and quick start videos. The expectation is you will go online and watch the videos and download the documents you need. Note: many of the videos are in Chinese with English subtitles. The full user guide is a 116 page PDF. It would be nice if they included a pocket guide for quick reference in the field.
Initial setup is easy once you get the drone and the controller charged. It’s fully guided on the controller. It includes connecting to your home internet and viewing some videos. Once you connect to the drone, it will check for updates and ask if you would like to install them if available. The initial update took around 15 minutes. There were 3 updates. 1 software for the controller and 2 firmware.
Once all the setup was done, I finally got to fly the drone. I found a very good beginners guide on YouTube and used that to learn the basics. I have some small racing drones that are extremely simple to use. This drone has a much larger learning curve but you are rewarded with quite a few features. Once you learn the basics, flying the drone is pretty simple. My experience with the small drones made using the sticks on the controller easy for me. It’s a little difficult to fly smoothly in tight areas but I was able to do what I wanted to do.
I used my initial flight to examine a high gutter on my house and see if it needed cleaning I also used it to look at the condition of the chimney on my roof. Initially, I took a few photos. Then I took a video. The photos were full resolution (4k) and they look great. For the video, I lowered the resolution to 1080p because the controller software warned me that my SD card was too slow for 4k. Still, the video quality was very good. There were a few blurry moments when filming close up, but overall, I was able to see and record what I needed. What amazed me most was the image stability. It was rock solid. No bouncing whatsoever. I used this on an overcast day and the images still looked great in terms of brightness, color, and contrast.
This flight was in my small back yard. I have I patio that is near 2 buildings and a covered patio. Taking off in this area triggered the obstacle sensors on the drone and there was a noticeable beeping noise coming from the controller. As I moved over the lawn and gained altitude the beeping went away. This became a small issue when I tried landing in this area. Obstacle avoidance prevented me from landing when I got too close to a planter bed. Another thing to note is the drone needs light for its obstacle avoidance feature to work. Night flying could be an issue if you rely on this feature.
There are 2 bright status lights on the rear of the drone but none on the front. A status light on the front would be nice. The batteries are supposed to last around 20 minutes on a full charge. I charged the batteries fully when I opened the package. Unfortunately, I couldn’t test the drone until 2 weeks later due to my job, lack of daylight and a lot of rain. When I did get to test, the batteries had already lost 30-40% of that initial charge. Make sure you charge them immediately before using them to get the maximum charge and flight time. I’m also a little concerned about battery longevity and maintenance. It seems they will need to be charged every 5-6 weeks to keep them from discharging completely and damaging the cells. Despite the initial lower charge levels, I was still able to get over 10 minutes of flight time on the batteries I used with about 20% remaining on each battery.
There are a lot of features that this drone has that I didn’t get a chance to try. Unfortunately, my initial test flight was cut short by an impending storm. I will probably use the return to home feature in the future. I will also play with the different camera adjustments and different flight modes. I just used the standard flight mode initially. There is also a Sport mode that optimizes the drone for “agility and speed” and a Cine mode that limits flight speed for smoother video.
There are several “intelligent” flight modes that I will also check out. These include a mode that focuses on a subject as the user controls flight, another one that will circle a subject automatically and one that will actually follow a subject. An example I saw was a guy riding a bicycle and the drone followed him while filming.
To conclude, this is an excellent drone for the money. It’s certainly not cheap in cost or build quality and there is a learning curve for people that haven’t used a drone with this many features. However, it seems like it will be worth the time invested to learn all the features. If I could, I'd probably give this 4 1/2 stars but since I can't, I'm rounding up to 5. The small issues I have don't warrant rounding down...

Whether you're going to use a drone for professional filming or you just want one for personal enjoyment, the DJI Mini 4 has you covered. It's simple enough for a newbie to handle (after watching a few tutorial videos to make sure you know what you're doing) but has features and functionality that professionals demand. Either way, it's equipped to take your drone filming to an entirely new level.
DJI has long been the industry leader in both commercial and personal drones. And for many years they had two categories of personal drones - the Pro models for professionals and the Mini models for amateurs/hobbyists. The Mini was more portable but didn't have a lot of the really amazing features of the pro model. However, with this new Mini 4 the gap has gotten much smaller and it's more about what you want out of your drone and not about having to sacrifice on features.
Speaking specifically about the DJI Mini 4 and this package, here are some of the highlights and reasons why I absolutely love and recommend this Fly More Combo Plus Drone & RC2 Remote Package to anyone looking to invest in a top notch drone...
First, let's talk about what you're getting in this package:
1) The RC2 Remote - THIS is the way you should control your drone! Yes, you can use the other remotes with your phone, but having a dedicated remote WITH a screen makes everything so much easier. No more having to put your phone in a mount and open the app and then you can't use your phone for other stuff, etc. The remote is simply amazing and one of the best upgrades ever for DJI Drones.
2) You get THREE Flight Battery Plus batteries AND a Two-Way Charging Hub which allows you extremely long flying time and the absolute most convenient ways to charge your batteries (and the RC Remote via the passthrough charging the hub provides).
3) A Shoulder Bag custom designed to transport your DJI 4 Mini drone. You don't want to throw this stuff around in just any bag. With this bag you know your drone is safe during transport.
4) Lots of propellers, screws, a gimbal protector, and basically all the necessary accessories for your drone.
So, yeah, this package really sets you up for a great flying experience. But all those extra things would mean nothing if the drone itself didn't live up to expectations, but this thing actually surpasses them. This drone is so tiny but yet so powerful. It can film in up to 4K at 60FPS and HDR for stunning videos. And you can have the amount of control you want over filming, whether you're a beginning filmmaker or hobbyist who wants to just stick to the Auto settings or you're a pro who wants to film in HLG or even 10-Bit D-Log M for color grading during editing. You can manually adjust all video settings or just let the intelligent auto settings take over.
The same goes for maneuvering the drone. This drone is so easy to control and has several flight modes to get the most out of it for what you're filming and your level of comfort. But then it also has a lot of built in auto-modes that will allow you to basically push a button and designate a filming subject and then let the drone on its own film a lot of different footage with common pro moves that you can use.
It also has all the safety tech built in you could possibly imagine in such a tiny drone. The obstacle avoidance basically covers the drone in a full 360 bubble so you're protected on all sides. (It can't sense small things like power lines or tree branches, but does a great job avoiding a tree or a building.) It has a return to home feature that will bring it back to it's take off spot within a foot or so and it will kick in automatically if you lose transmission or the battery is too low. It also has an augmented reality built into the screen on the remote to see the path for that.
It has some super cool tracking features built into it that allow you to track a person or car or boat and can either follow them or parallel them. And in following mode, that can be following them from front or back and with a quick swipe of the finger will circle and move from an inside or outside ring to change the viewing distance and angle.
The camera on this thing produces some of the best footage you'll ever see on a drone. It's so smooth and it has a great axis for full control of angles. And it can even be switched to film in vertical mode for all those super cool Tik Tok videos you want to make. As a content creator this thing is opening up a ton of new possibilities for me and what's even better is how it's setup to even allow a beginner to get professional looking footage to use.
I could go on and on about this thing - it just really has so many features built into it, it's unbelievable, but you can read all about all those features in other places. Let me just say that my personal experience with the drone has been stellar. It does everything I wanted it to do and so much more. DJI put everything I would have wished for in a drone into this Mini 4 and then they threw in a bunch of other features I wouldn't have thought to ask for but that I love. This excellent drone is perfect for someone's first drone as it's so easy to learn and get going out of the box but still has tons of professional features they can learn and grow into. And for those who are already professionals, I think you'll find this drone is one of the best DJI has ever built and has everything you need to do your thing too!

This is my review of this DJI - Mini 4 Pro Fly More Combo Plus Drone and RC 2 Remote Control with Built-in Screen upon which I rate at 5 out of 5 stars. Out of the box the device is well packaged and comes with everything you need to get started. DJI rates this drone under 249g meaning that you do not have to register this device with the FAA. I don't want to be the bearer of bad news, but this is NOT true. DJI supplies you with extended capacity batteries with this drone making it weigh in at 293g. You MUST register this drone with the FAA, which only takes a few minutes and a $5 registration fee.
There are other things you need to do in order to fly legally. You must take and pass the TRUST - The Recreational UAS Safety Test and fly by those rules. Also, you must operate your drone in accordance with or within a Community-Based Organization's (CBO's) safety guidelines. This is not a toy and the pilot needs to respect their airspace along with FAA, and local regulations.
The drone itself is quite impressive as it comes with its own carrying bag, three extended capacity 3850mAh batteries. A nice bonus is the flight controller with built-in bright 700-nit, 5.5-inch FHD display. The need to attach your smartphone to use as a display is gone! Also in the starting kit is a set of extra blades consisting of six A-blades and six B-blades. Hopefully, you won't need them anytime soon, but nice that they are included!
As for the drone's fly-ability, it is rock solid with a three-axis mechanical gimbal and four wide-angled vision sensors on top and two downward vision sensors on bottom. I tried flying directly into my garage and it came to a complete stop about 6-feet from the structure. There is one single lens camera having 1.3-inch CMOS at 48 mega-pixels.
The drone has all the specs and accessories in this starter kit to make it more than an entry-level mini drone. It has solid performance, able to navigate through slight breeze, omni-directional sensors to avoid obstacles, and RTH Return To Home/take-off point within a couple feet. You need to run and not walk and with its size, it literally makes a great stocking stuffer. I hope you enjoyed reading my review and it helps you in your purchasing decision.

I purchased this in order to do do amateur videos and the functions provided by this drone is amazing. It was a simple setup and all can be done by the bright screen on the controller thru WiFi. This drone had many features and the vertical and horizontal obstacle avoidance makes flying a breeze and stresses especially for the beginner. You can pull off some amazing shots with the ai tracking technology like a movie. It can really follow and do amazing trick shots. The batteries last about 26 mins but they it’s the fly more kit and 3 batteries there is no stress times. You can upgrade to the bigger batteries but that will put you above the eight without requiring being registered with the FAA.its pretty good and stable in wind but not too strong and the drone will even fly home if it feels the wind is too strong. Really great product by Dji and I am happy with the purchase

We recently purchased the DJI Mini 4 Pro drone, and I must say, it has exceeded my expectations in every way. The compact size of this drone is incredibly convenient for travel, yet it doesn't compromise on performance.
The 4K camera captures stunningly clear and smooth footage, and the 3-axis gimbal ensures that every shot is stable and professional-looking. The range and battery life are impressive, allowing for extended flight sessions without worrying about losing connection or running out of power.
The intuitive controls and intelligent flight modes make it easy for beginners to get started, while advanced users will appreciate the customization options and precise control. The DJI Fly app is well-designed and user-friendly, providing a seamless experience from setup to flight.
Overall, I highly recommend the DJI Mini 4 Pro to anyone looking for a high-quality drone that delivers outstanding performance in a compact and portable package.

Ever wondered what it’s like to command the skies with the flick of your thumb? Enter this whole package I picked up from Best Buy! The DJI Mini 4 Pro Fly More Combo with the RC 2 Remote Control with Built-in Screen, or as I like to call it, the Flying Potato That Dreams Are Made Of.
First Impressions:
Straight out of the box, this little marvel looked like a cross between a robotic bug and a mini spaceship. My cat was intrigued; I was in awe. The build quality screams premium, and the design is sleek, almost like it’s whispering, “I dare you to fly me.”
Flying Experience:
Once I got this baby up in the air, it felt like I was piloting a futuristic starship. The RC 2 Remote Control with its built-in screen is a game-changer. No more squinting at my phone screen in the glaring sun. The controls are so intuitive that even my tech-averse friends can get the hang of it in no time.
Performance:
This thing flies like a dream. It’s agile, responsive, and stable. The camera is so good that I could probably count the leaves on my neighbor’s tree (not that I was spying, of course). But we did use it to help our neighbors check for roof damage after the horrible Hurricane Milton (what a terrifying experience that beast was!)
Battery Life:
With the Fly More Combo, I got extra batteries, which is a lifesaver. Each battery gives me ample flight time to explore, capture, and make my cat paranoid. It’s like having your own aerial adventure without the fear of crash-landing (thanks to the obstacle avoidance features).
The Verdict:
If you’re looking for a drone that makes you feel like a kid with a new toy and a professional filmmaker at the same time, the DJI Mini 4 Pro Fly More Combo with RC 2 Remote is your go-to gadget. It's not just a drone; it’s an experience. An experience that will have you looking at the world differently – from above.
So yes, buy it, and let the adventures (and occasional mishaps) begin. Just make sure your cat doesn’t get any ideas!

Finally, a drone that can do it all on its own. of course, it will not beat out the mavic pro series drones that are 3 and beyond. the air 3 is slightly better as well but only slightly. the reason to get this drone is it has an improved camera over the previous mini 3 pro under lesser lighting conditions. i believe this is only done in processing so hopefully they also include the processing into the 3 pro to make this drone worth getting only for its autonomous flying and 360 obstacle avoidance. the range of the 04 unit is also improved so flying behind objects or even in rural areas will get you better performance. it is quiet and will not get the attention of passerby karens very easily. it is compact so taking it anywhere is easier than a bigger drone like the mavic or air series drones. this is the entry level for professional work

I went from a mavic 2 to a mini 4. I definitely like this better because the obstacle avoidance is better and it’s easier to just grab and fly. The only downside is its weight because it’s not as stable in the wind. Don’t get me wrong it still takes very stable video but it does get buffered around a bit. Also don’t fly with the wind very far because it sometimes struggles to get back. I flew about 1.5 to 2 miles away checking out a new road and bridge with a good crosswind and it did manage it ok.

Im very pleased with this drone, I originally bought a pro 3 but decided to return the pro 3 and get the Pro 4. This drone I feel communicates a lot better especially when going out of sight I never lost signal strength. If there were a lot of obstacles in front of me that can impede the signal strength.
Pros
Long battery life
I personally like the case it comes with
RC2 controller is really nice for extra range
360 obstacle avoidance is huge and really helps
its really light and portable
You will need to register it if you get the extended batteries
Video looks amazing the 4k cameras on this are really nice!
Cons
it does struggle a little bit in high winds but over all didn't affect the outcome of the video

An incredible drone fun for both beginners and experts! I've owned the older model (Mini 2) and this has not only better camera quality along with surrounding sensors for better awareness but also more settings for digital changes. The fly more bundle comes at the price of additional batteries but offers a free upgraded comtroller that only makes flying quicker/easier. Overall I'm happy with the product and recommend it to any newcomers and veteran flyers!

Recommendation consideration:
My largest complaint is Best Buy labels this drone as not needing registration, but the kit I purchased only includes the plus batteries, which pushes the take-off weight over 250 grams requiring FAA registration. If you already have a 107 license or don't mind registering the drone I think this is a fantastic lightweight drone and would definitely recommend it to some people but not everyone.
Thankfully I had a friend who does aerial photography help me out and warned me as we unboxed the kit. The registration for recreational use is only $5 and is pretty quick to get.
First Flight:
This is my first drone, I have zero experience but I wanted to get a lightweight drone to scout hikes and other exploration trips with. This thing is incredibly easy to fly during the day with all the sensors and safety features. I watched a few youtube videos and and the included DJI training videos and I was up and flying in less than hour.
Range/Controller:
If you are out in the open with no buildings or trees you can easily get about 5 miles of signal transmission but the more objects block your signal then the shorter your range is. In my neighborhood, I get about 1.25 miles in any direction. With the included batteries its pretty easy to get a good elevation and just scan the area in the direction you want. The controller seems to have great image playback and resolution for what I need.
Camera:
Because I use the drone to scout areas I haven't played around much with the photography or video settings. But from what I have tried it takes amazing pictures and videos you'll have to figure out how in-depth you want to get with the setting to take full advantage of all the features but I definitely have room to grow into this area.
Charger:
One of the things I love about this setup is the charger. The dock connects via USBC so I can charge it in the car, or with a battery bank connected to a solar panel making it super convenient for longer backpacking trips. The batteries do take a while to charge, but thankfully they top off the highest-charged one first so you get a full battery first before it moves to the next highest-charged one. This is probably not the most efficient charging strategy but I definitely see the value.
Note: The drone and the remote feel like they get pretty warm when flying I don't know if that is just because of the weather I'm flying in currently or because of a lack of active cooling (I've seen other people mod their drones with extra fans whenever it's on but not flying to keep it cool).
The other included accessories:
The included bag is alright, I personally 3d printed a hard case so I can toss the drone in a backpack and not worry. I haven't had to change any of the propellers so no comments on the replacements or tools included for that.
