I owned the Osmo Mobile 2 also and the 3 is much better for several reasons. The 3 takes the bigger phones much better and it has the ability to follow a person with the built in software. The app/software is also more user friendly I believe. I have it about 1 month now and have had no issues so far.

This thing is fantastic! I got it during a good sale and even then it is on the expensive side in my opinion, but compared to the a cheaper brand gimbal I’ve tried in the past, this is so much better with being open on the end and folding down compactly while still functioning great.

I had the 1st Osmo Mobile and loved it. After upgrading my iPhone to the XS Max, it’s too large and won’t calibrate. I sold the Osmo Mobile and purchase the Osmo 3. It’s a great device and fun. Great to change the view from horizontal to vertical. You can’t go wrong with DJI’s products.

It is a lot easier to stabilize a cell phone than a camera. The app is ok for 1080 resolutions but not that great for your heaver and newer cellphones. I would recommend this for people who have phones that the app is compatible with and know the weight of their cellphone. Its also a good entry level gimbal for newer content creators.

For this type of gamble it is worth the money since it was on sale. For one I seen the tracking feature works almost fall asleep and the smoothness of the gimbal I haven’t tried yet but seems to work very very well so we’ll see under different circumstances how it works.

The only difference from this one and the new one is that the other one has a magnetic clip in the back but it’s only convenient if you leave the clip on your phone 24/7 if you don’t it’s a a lot harder to clip off compared to this one but everything else is exactly the same.

The ability to fold it it amazing and the ability to switch from landscape to portrait interchangeably without taking out the phone is also one of the greatest features. The happy camper upgrade is that it uses USB-C now which is awesome because all my devices uses it so no need for any other cord.

I purchased the osmo 2 in the past, and I did not like it at all I thought it could use a little more improving. Later on I seen the osmo 3 came out I was skeptical. But I purchased it and I can say it’s much more improved, the response time, the app, the design. I really like this unit.

The computer search by the sales person indicated that there was one 3 axis Gimbal in stock-but was not on the shelf. She searched the warehouse but couldn’t find it there either. Got more in store help and finally found the product. Super effort by the young lady was much appreciated.

The hardware for this gimbal works great. I recorded a walk and talk video with my iPhone 8plus and the gimbal and it worked very well. The issue comes when you want to use the video you made. I imported it into my video editing program and found that the video had no sound. I tried this with and without a mic or lav mic. DJI knows about the problem and the bugginess in the software with it crashing but have not done enough to address the issue.

We filmed and shot spider-man 3 with this gimbal. Works perfect! The cinematic outcome was award winning! Not sure if anybody has seen our movie in theater.. but all done with this single gimbal and an iPhone 6!

I use it with a NOTE 10+ and the size is no problem.
