I don't like that you have to install an app to use it. It's only for mobile devices so if you have a handheld camera, you need to buy another one for that. I had to watch 4 YouTube tutorials to use this. Overall though, it's a good product but it is not distributing the weight properly on the newer 16 versions of the iPhone because of that weird camera button on the side.

I can overlook the range of motion, that really annoys me, but I can work with it. Every piece of hardware has SOME sort of limitation. But...what I absolutely cannot overlook is the software. If you want to use the Gimbal without the software, sure you can do that. You're going to be missing out on face tracking and all theo ther cool features of the gimbal. Would bring it back if I had the recipt/box. Unfortunately I threw it away before I realized one MAJOR flaw for this gimbal. In order to use some of the most important features of the gimbal, you will need to use the DJI MIMO app.. Not an issue, all hardware needs good software. The issue is as follows. There is NO way... That you can tell the DJI MIMO App to save to EXTERNAL MEDIA! You will be stuck saving to the internal phone storage,and then offloading your footage. SO...if you're planning on taking a big trip and just swapping out your SD Cards as they get full...You can hang that up. There is no way to do this in the app, and there doesn't seem to be any rush to do this at DJI. This piece of hardware is NOT new, and they could have fixed this LONG ago, but it doesn't appear to be a concern to them at all. Don't waste your money and time. SOLID gimbal...but the software lacks a basic feature. Unexcusable. Seriously, it's sort of a paperweight right now for me.

Leaps ahead

Love this new version has better tracking feature that will track the person even if they turn their head to you. The new jog wheel on the left lets you really zoom in and out very smooth but also give you the opportunity to control your focus. I like that the little screen on this model which tells you which shooting on.
