The Ultimate Vlogging Companion
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.DJI Osmo pocket 3 is a step up from its predecessors on features and design. It is an ultimate companion for vloggers. As a family of content creators and vloggers, we found this very handy and a big upgrade from the bulky camera and video recorders we carried around. We did a few videos to showcase our new apparel design and the video quality was amazing. We were able to recreate the cinematic experience on our video content with a few simple settings on the Osmo 3, and without much editing on the PC. I also used it as a webcam with a USB cable connected to my PC to livestream the video I was capturing to gather some feedback from my team. The Osmo Pocket 3 Creator Combo Kit includes several additional accessories - the DJI Mic2 transmitter, a valuable addition for vloggers. With your Osmo pocket 3 placed on a tripod and the SmartTrack feature turned on, you can record while walking around. The kit also comes with a battery handle, mic windscreen, wide-angle lens, mini tripod, and a carrying bag. Design The first thing that I noticed is the 16:9 2-inch rotating color OLED touch screen for landscape and portrait mode which makes this device more appealing as you can view the video with enough details on the touchscreen, and easily access the menus on the touch screen. The Osmo Pocket 3 is perfectly sized to be held in one hand for vlogging or conveniently carry it around in your pocket. Personally, I prefer holding it with the extended battery attached, as it provides a more comfortable grip, reducing concerns about accidental drops. The Osmo Pocket 3 charged from 20 to 80 percent in under 20 minutes, making it ideal for capturing videos in an all-day event. I managed to record an 80-minute video in 4K settings and took several pictures on a trip with a 33% battery charge still remaining Gimbal with three-axis stabilization Gimbal Stabilization is the most important feature that I care most, as I always struggled capturing steady videos on my hiking trips to post on my blogs. I was able to capture nature videos while hiking and running with the gimbal stabilization providing smooth and stable videos giving it a cinematic experience. Picture and Video Quality You can capture pictures and shoot videos up to 4k/120fps videos with the Osmo 3's 1-inch 9.4MP CMOS image sensor. It also offers 10-bit D-Log M and 10-bit HLG color modes, which allows the camera sensor to record enough dynamic range with more vibrant colors and smoother transitions between the hues. The image quality was truly amazing, even in low-light conditions, not to mention the noteworthy video quality. I compared the video quality with Osmo 2 that my friend owned. I saw a big improvement in the video quality, on how bright the videos were, with the background illumination being far more superior than the Osmo 2 and the video cameras I use for my content creation and product showcasing. The Mic2 transmitter, equipped with an 8GB internal storage for off-camera audio backup, worked flawlessly in transmitting audio to the Pocket 3 from distances exceeding 50 feet. The package also includes a wide-angle lens for an expanded 108-degree field of view (FOV) and a black mist filter. Controls The 5D joystick is pretty handy to change settings without having to fumble around with the touch screen. The joystick lets you recenter the gimble, zoom, pan, tilt, and camera orientations with just a few taps. You can easily toggle between record and camera modes on the touch screen menu. Smart Features The ActiveTrack feature offers multiple modes. Face auto-detect and dynamic framing are the most common modes that I use and the most vloggers care about. The three-mic-array captures omnidirectional stereo sound with amazing noise suppression. It suppressed the background noise while I was out shooting at a bustling attraction in Singapore. One feature that stands out for me is the product showcase mode, which I absolutely love. It focuses on the foreground, blurring the background to draw much-needed attention to the product. It works great even while you are walking around. It also has creative mode with a few options - MotionLapse and SpinShot. The SpinShot feature is pretty cool, it allows you to shoot videos with a 90 or 180 deg camera rotation with one hand. Apps I am still exploring the DJI Mimo and Lightcut apps, which offer lot more features to speed up the content creation, editing templates for faster sharing on social media. Hands down, this is the device where portability meets performance and creativity knows no bounds and vloggers dream machine. The noteworthy features include the remarkable video quality in all lighting and the autofocus and image stabilization that flawlessly recreates a cinematic experience when viewing the recording on a big screen!

Frozen screen issue
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have had the DJI pocket 3 for 6 days, i woke up this morning to go film, and the screen is blacked out and will not reset no matter what i try to do, this is a huge let down, as again i have only had the product in my hands for 6 days... i see the potential here in the osmo pocket 3 but with the screen frozen/blacked it seems to disable all use of the device, however i can still use the joystick to reposition the camera, but i cannot record, or see anything so it is rendered useless. i did try the hard reset a few times without the SD card, but the issue remains and i am out of ideas to fix it.

FIX THE BUGS, needs an update!
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Returned my first P3 due to the media not being able to be viewed in app. See below pictures. On my second P3 now and in order to view the media, you have to turn off then turn on cellular signal from your phone then go back into the app. It’s quite janky for such a costly device and makes the great camera irrelevant when you can’t even edit your content. FIX THE BUGS!

This thing does it all and does it very well!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you’re looking for a “do-it-all and does it very well” camera that also has exceptional stability, the DJI Osmo Pocket 3 is that camera! Even better is the creator combo that comes with everything you need to get started to create high quality content at home or on the go. The price increase seems steep at first, but when you factor in the battery handle and included wireless microphone, it’s quite the deal! For an easily pocketable vlogging camera, this is going head-to-head with the Sony ZV-1 (original and Mk II) and Canon G7 X Mk III, as well as action cameras like the GoPro Hero 12 Black Creator Edition and the Insta360 Go 3. The biggest differentiator for the Pocket 3 is the mechanical gimbal for exceptional stabilization while on the go, running, or even just tracking you while it remains stationary! The only real drawback is that it is not water resistant, like the previously mentioned action cameras are, but neither are most other vlogging cameras and definitely not with this level of image stabilization. Setting up the camera was pretty easy, unbox it, turn it on by flipping the screen, and either continuing through setup via the DJI Memo app or clicking through the prompt and using one of your 5 “skips” to start using the camera right away. The limited number of skips to bypass setting up through the app is weird and I didn’t like that it’s forced on you, especially since the QR code that was on my set of instructions led me to download the DJI Store app, frustratingly, which does NOT let you set up the camera. I instead had to turn to a Google search to find which app was the correct one and why I couldn’t connect through the one the instructions asked me to. After I had the DJI Memo app, setup was a breeze! For clarity… download the DJI Memo app, NOT the DJI Store app, to setup the camera. The Store app is still useful, but not nearly as useful as the Memo app! Performance and use of the Pocket 3 is exceptional! I found myself playing around with the different functions the gimbal offers right off the bat, even before I found the correct app for setup. It’s so easy to use and the touch controls are incredibly intuitive. Being able to record in both traditional 16:9 widescreen AND 9:16 vertical makes creating content for different platforms amazingly easy! I am finding it hard to not make videos for Instagram or TikTok with how easy vertical videos are to make on this, all I need now is talent! My first out of the house test was taking the Pocket 3 on a walk with my dog, a challenge for any camera’s stability… it passed with flying colors! Even when one of her friends popped out from around a corner and we were wiggling all over, the gimbal kept the video clear and smooth! I also took the Pocket 3 with me for the Appleton Turkey Trot 5-Mile run, keeping the camera in, well, my pocket. Since the name is the Pocket 3, I put it in the third pocket of my Under Armor fleece joggers. It fit like the pocket and the Pocket 3 were made for each other, keeping the camera snuggly safe and ready for when I went to grab it and record. Speaking of recording, for quick use on the go for vlogging, do yourself a favor and turn on “flip to record,” it is an incredible feature doing exactly what the name would imply! The Pocket 3 performed exceptionally well, more than I can say about my running! Stunning image quality, excellent sound from the Mic2, the Mic2 even took a spill down a hill and survived with not even a scratch! A+ performance for the camera and microphone! Overall, I would highly recommend this to all those content creators out there who are looking for an exceptional camera system for vlogging and action shots without the need for something as “durable” as a true action camera (don’t strap it to your surfboard!), but also want the entire kit to get started! The Creator Combo is definitely the way to go, including everything you need to get started but a microSD card (conveniently sold next to where the camera is). This is an amazing piece of kit and an already heavily used camera in my gear collection!

5 out of 5 stars – Perfect for On-the-Go
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The DJI Osmo Pocket Creator Combo exceeded my expectations. It’s incredibly compact, easy to carry, and delivers stunningly smooth video—even while walking. The built-in gimbal makes a huge difference compared to phone footage. I especially appreciate the wireless module and external mic, which add flexibility and improve audio quality. Setup was quick, and the battery lasts surprisingly long. This is the perfect all-in-one kit for vloggers, travelers, or anyone looking to step up their video game without carrying bulky gear. Highly recommended!

Might be the best solo vlogging tool out there
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you’ve ever had a DJI drone or pretty much any DJI product, you will be somewhat familiar with the concept of the Pocket 3. It’s basically a drone camera and gimble on a stick, and it shows that DJI is world leading in the technology involved with stabilized cameras and the remote apps that run them. However, they have built on that and expanded and refined this pocket camera to be much more. This is the Creator Edition of the OSMO Pocket 3, and it has several accessories which build on and extend its usability. In addition to the cable, protective cover, extension base and lanyard, the creator’s version includes a battery extender base, a tripod, a wide-angle lens, and most notably, the Mic 2 transmitter. Except for the protective cover, these and the camera all fit nicely in the small carrying bag. You will have to provide your own Micro SD card, and make sure it’s a fast Class 3 card to keep up with recording 4K video. You can just pick this camera up, insert a card, flip the screen to start it and begin recording silky smooth video. However, there’s a tremendous number of features that you will need to take some time to learn about to really make use of this OSMO. First, you should download the DJI Mimo App and pair your phone. As with many electronics, it will first want to update the firmware. Besides being able to fully control the OSMO remotely (as with drones), you can also download your media wirelessly. Also, the app has links directly to a number of instructional videos. Watch them! Once you have the concepts and shortcuts in mind, start using it and learn … and have fun. There are way too many features to describe here, but here are a few that make this an ideal Vlogger tool. By either a touch to the screen or triple click of the joystick, it rotates from forward to selfie mode. There is object and face tracking, so it can follow the action … handheld or on the tripod. The Mic 2 can be placed anywhere or on anyone to get clear audio from a distance. You can even start and stop video recording from the mic. There are several gimble modes … smooth flow, always horizontal, FPV (first person view for you droners), or locked. It can auto pan. A flip of the rotating screen switches from landscape to portrait modes. All the stabilization and panning are, of course, mechanical and flawless without any shake or that wobbling effect that electronic stabilization can introduce. It has a 2 to 1 electronic zoom, so it's not intended to bring distant objects in close. What about picture quality? It’s first class with the maximum video being 4K at 30 fps. The is also slow motion, and brought from the drone world, it has time-lapse and hyper-lapse and motion-lapse. The stills are good but realize that the 1” sensor has a resolution of 9.4 MP. If you’re going to shoot a bunch of stills, your phone may be as good or better. This is an exceptional vlogger tool, especially for someone working alone. For general video and even sport use, it’s also first class, very small, quick and easy to use. It’s another piece of amazing technology from DJI.

Great camera.
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.DJI Osmo is pretty neat... Setup. Setup was pretty simple. Charged the main unit and the extended battery. Took about 2 hours. I downloaded the app signed in because I already had an account registered the device. I ended up paying for the protection plan and I was in. There are different setup options. Short stubby. Or slightly longer or full length with extended pieces plus the tripod holder. Tripod use is good for vlogging while seated. I went ahead and bought a bike mount to capture my road bike events. The Osmo comes with standard screw to use for mounting which is nice. So it mounted on my bike mount easily. Similar to their drones it uses a gimbal to control the view of the camera. I took the Osmo on a road bike ride and it did well. The rough road causes what I call the jiggle affect. Even though the gimble keeps the horizon well the shaking or jiggle affect is still there.. I used active tracking on to track my face during the ride and it did well. No complaints. I then switched to action shots. I tried it to track my kid on the hover board. The it was my family outside playing badminton. The gimble did well with tracking whoever I set the tracking to. The app was easy to use. Lots of settings. Also ability to live stream is there too. Mind you that you need high speed connection to stream. So you should rest your wireless cellphone ability if you are using that to live stream with the Osmo. Downloading the large file to my phone took some time. So just an FYI. If you have long videos it will take a while to download on your phone. File size was huge. 2.3GB. file came in as MP4. Make sure you buy the correct micro SD card and the biggest you can for this device which I believe is 256GB. Images on the video was nice and clear. Nice clear to share. I used the wide angle lense to catch more image with the appeture it did fine. This camera is mostly meant for up close and not for far away shots. On board screen is easy to use. It flips from portrait to my landscape easily and the touch screen is nice. Also this kit comes with wireless mic. Nice to capture interviews or if you are vlogging you can clip this or a wired mic to it and get nice audio pickup. Battery life is ok. After firmware update which sucked up about 10% and setup and all. I spent about 1 hours and it drained about 20% of the battery. So I think it should last about 5 hours of just video use. Not sure how.lomgmit will last with live streaming for long periods of time. This was the main battery. There is another add on battery pack that doubles as a hand grip that might get you more juice. But I just tested the small main battery. One warning that is on the the manual that kind of brought it high up to raising my eyebrows. It was the warning to not get the battery wet. It says it could burst into flames. So don't take this on hikes that are full on rain or submerged. Anyway. Great product for what it is meant for. Good job DJI.

Vlogging with Confidence!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So this will not be a techy review. You can find hundreds of those online and I’m sure from other reviews here on Best Buy. This will be more layman’s, a bit more of my personal experience on how this has helped me and my content creation. Hopefully, this will help you decide if it’s for you and how you traverse creating content for the masses, or just creating home style videos for you and your family to enjoy. You can read all the techy stuff in the specs. No need for repeating, right?!?! I can finally start vlogging again with confidence and create quality content without the hassle of carrying my pro cameras and gear. The camera setup alone made me slow down on producing content as I’m a one woman show and although I’ve been at it for over 12 years, it became challenging to be every part of production, pre and post. This has now changed the game for me and has inspired me to get creating again…with flair. It’s compact and out of sight for the most part. Because of its size, it’s great for capturing those more intimate/raw moments of your kids dancing their hearts out, dog playing chase by itself, family gatherings, etc. I have always been a bit intimidated walking around with larger cameras, simply because it makes others uncomfortable. With the DJI pocket 3, I have already experienced a change in how I feel walking around with my gear mainly bc it’s just a small bag, as my jeans are a bit too tight to slide it into a pocket. Lady problems 😂. In fact, most recently I was able to help my son with his school project that had to be recorded and instead of having to take out my or his pro camera and set up the gear, mics and mic packs, I was able to set this up on a stand and quickly add the DJI mic in mere seconds. I couldn’t be happier with this micro but powerful tool. There’s also multiple ways that I’m able to transfer and quickly edit footage. I stayed away from the 1st two pockets bc the screen size was incredibly small and instead invested in DJI phone gimbals instead. Those were great but I also used my phone for daily tasks, so it became difficult to record and have my phones ready to answer calls or check emails, etc. So you see my issue. This awesomely cool gimbal is truly a game changer for me. It frees up my phone, I don’t have to carry a much heavier/bulkier camera, no external accessories. It’s genius. It’s crazy fast with focusing and quite honestly the tracking is one of the best I’ve experienced, compared to all of the other gear and apps I possess. I haven’t experienced many drop offs, and even when walking out of frame, the moment the subject came back, they were being tracked once again. Obviously, if they were gone for 30 secs or more, then I would have to reselect subject, but it’s great. The quality of the video is superb and crystal clear and even the low light video is one of the best in the market, especially for an all in one gimbal of this size. I also enjoy the color rendition. Skin tones appear as if I’m looking at that person with my bare eyes. The ability to color grade my footage is a huge advantage, and makes it even easier to color match footage with pro-res videos from my iPhone 15 pro max as well. The mic is such an awesome surprise and highly welcomed. I can’t wait to add a second one to my setup. It’s so easy to setup as the gimbal is the receiver and there’s no need for mic packs and extra wires and stuff everywhere. It’s just simple. The quality is clear, crisp, giving studio quality audio, even if I’m very far away from the gimbal. Bc it’s Bluetooth I’m able to connect the mic to other sources, such as my camera and iPhone. That’s amazing! The wide lens filter that comes with this bundle is great as well. At first it looks like it may not be a huge difference in footage, but looking closely at the corners you’ll see that it’s actually a good size of difference in how wide the footage becomes. There’s space in the hard protective case for another filter (Black Mist). I wish it was also included, and they could have offered other filters for future purchase instead. The battery life has held up pretty well. It’s been horrible weather (it’s not waterproof) on the days that I have had the extra time to be out all day so I haven’t used it continuously for hours, recording 4k60 video. But I’ve played with it, recorded good amounts of footage daily since having it and I still haven’t had to charge it, since it’s initial full charge. And that’s including the extra battery pack that I haven’t charged at all from the box. So in all, I will say that it’s a party animal that never quits. Lol. So the bad. Well there aren’t really “bad”. Just a few things to take note of. It’s lightweight and almost seems too fragile at times. It’s also very difficult to attach the arm strap so I haven’t even bothered after trying a few times. During shutoff, I have experienced the camera not fully turning into the off position, which is only made clear to me once I’m trying to place it back into its protective case. The camera will be facing outwards. So that’s something I need to look further into. Also, it’s a bit tough to close the carrying case with all of the gear in the bag at once, it’s doable, but sometimes feels a bit congested trying to zip it closed. I do wish that they included the black mist filter. Upon my own personal research, I wish that the filters could be magnetized to each other so I could use two filters at once, like an ND, and wide angle. The good. Well everything else. It’s an amazing little gadget and one that has been so useful in so many ways for myself and my family already. We love to do scenic drives, see new sites and mountains and this will now be the only thing I bring, besides a tripod of course. I will never feel guilty for purposely leaving my cumbersome cameras at home again, lol. If you’re on the fence, I say give it a shot. You’ll quickly see that it’s one of the best “on-the-go” camera decisions you would have made this year.

Tiny camera with tiny screen enabler for creators
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The OSMO Pocket 3 Creator Combo is a handful pack consisting of 1. DJI Mic2 Transmitter; 2. Handle with 1/4” Thread; 3. Battery Handle; 4. Mini Tripod; 5. Protective Cover; 6. 1 USB-C Cable; 7. Mic 2 Club Magnet; 8. Mic 2 Windscreen; 9. Wide Angle Lens; 10. Wrist Strap; 11. Carrying Bag. 12. Osmo Pocket 3. Its specification at large are: -1” CMOS & 4k120; -2” Rotable Screen with Orientation Control; -3-Axis Gimbal Mechanical Stabilization; -Active Track 6.0; -Full-Pixel Fast Focusing; -D-Log M & 10-Bit; -Stereo Recording; -Pocket Sized For being a photo enthusiast and recording videos on the move, most of cases used iPhone for its portability aside of its benefit on video and photography capabilities as move around. Easy to put in the bag or pocket and easy to pull out fast and instant. Comparing to that experience, and although it is not a direct comparable device, OSMOS Pocket is quite handy with full of features that allow to capture in the instant at high quality level within what is possible for that size. To be bit more specific on the technical side, it has 8 modes each with different combination for resolution and frame rate and speed. Video Mode: Resolutions are -1080P -2.7K, -3K Frame Rate -24 -25 -30 -48 -50 -60 Panoramic Mode 180 3x3 Countdown Off 3s 5s 7s Photo Mode Aspect Ratio 9:16 1:1 Countdown Off 3s 5s 7s Low Light Mode 1080P 4K Frame Rate 24 25 30 Slow Motion Mode 1080P 2.7K 4K Speed 4x(100) 4x(120) Time Lapse Mode Scenes Crowds Clouds Sunset Custom Motion Lapse Mode LTR RTL Custom Motion Portrait Mode Resolution 1080P 2,7K Frame Ratio 25 30 And for the length size of about 6” with 2” touch screen, DJI has placed the user experience in the minimal size of hardware. Via touchscreen can control most of the feature at a single touch. Only few functionality made via separate button and joystick like button to control power on/off and direction of the gimbal camera. The same is in sync and parallel can be controlled via the DJI Application with great synchronization I would say. Easy to work on the image in live mode although it needs to be saved in the micro sd. On the other hand, it took me some time to get used to the tiny screen and try to use each of the functionality on the move. This is not necessarily a negative observation but it comes with the type of device is made for. But I have to mention a side of the resolution that speak by itself, the control of the camera with joystick is very responsive and immediate. As move up/dow/right/left it is instant, and also has automatically recalibration such doesn’t require manually to do it. What I wish it does better: 1. Attachment to the tripod work a like iPhone magsafe attachment, It require to screw which lead to miss chances of good shot when everything is on the move and need to place it standing. 2. The camera and gimbal can be detached for better portability. Although the name refer to it, it still not small enough for a pant pocket and still bit bulky. 3. Water resistant? I couldn’t find information what level is supported. 4. For being a creative pack, it left out micro sd, a filter and usb-c charger making the package incomplete. 5. Although it is not an action camera per se, it would be nice to be able to click a clothing to have hand free for additional view via mobile phone or other task that demand the situation. In bottom line, full of functionality and latest in the tiny OLED screen enabling creativity for squeezed and unique situation.

Robust creator tools yet easy to use
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Osmo Pocket 3 creator combo ships with the camera and additional tools that are particularly useful for social media, vlogging, or content creation. The camera was easy to set up initially and pair to my phone. Links to several helpful instructional videos are provided and are also readily available on the DJI Pocket 3 support page. After initial setup, the DJI Mimo companion app applied a firmware update which took approximately two minutes as indicated. Afterwards, I was ready to start filming. A micro-SD card is required from start because the Osmo 3 has no internal storage. Camera operation is smooth and effortless. The camera can be powered on by simply rotating the OLED display clockwise from portrait to landscape orientation or by pressing the shutter button. Although the Pocket 3 is lightweight and easy to handle during use, I hesitate to call it “small” because even with no handle attached, it is nearly six-inches in length. I also have to remain cognizant of the gimbal in more hazardous shooting scenarios. Controls are split between the touchscreen display and physical controls. It didn’t take me long to get acclimated with the 5D joystick and touchscreen combo. I now find the menus and settings easy to quickly locate and access while shooting. The Pocket 3 can shoot stills and video in either landscape or portrait orientation and the rotating display allows easy viewing of both modes without rotating the entire camera. The 1-inch CMOS sensor captures clear, sharp stills and video with no discernable noise or anomalies in good to moderate lighting. The Pocket 3 has decent low light performance as well and only starts to show noticeable noise in really dark environments. Video resolutions are dependent on mode and range from 1080p up to 4K. In addition to normal shooting modes, the Pocket 3 offers timelapse, hyperlapse, slo-motion, and two types of panoramas. Autofocus is snappy in most instances, with very little noticeable lag. The mechanical gimbal keeps the frame solidly stable while recording, even when the camera is shifted or tilted. Features like Active Track allow me to quickly tap the screen to highlight a subject so the gimbal can automatically follow without me moving the camera. Active Track, along with other tracking features such as face detect and dynamic framing have all worked smoothly and reliably so far. The gimbal also has a spinshot mode which allows it to automatically pan 90 or 180-degrees for a creative barrel roll type effect. When shooting selfies, the gimbal swivels around 180 degrees to face the user. The creator set includes the standard removable handle that ships with both versions of the Pocket 3, but tosses in a longer battery equipped handle as part of the bundle. Both handles attach to the camera via USB-C connectors and allow easier handling of the Pocket 3 by extending the grip. Both handles have 1/4-inch mounting threads that allow mounting to the included mini tripod or any other 1/4 mount. Also included in the bundle are a remote wireless mic and windscreen. The mic and camera pair together seamlessly upon power on and audio captured through the mic is clear, rich and warm. Voice quality is especially good and single voice narration sounds polished and professional. Another useful accessory included in the bundle is the wide-angle lens attachment. It attaches magnetically to the lens and, like the other included accessories, is easy to place and remove. It provides a clear and sharp 108-degree 15mm wide angle view without any distortion. Battery life is great in all shooting modes, even 4K/60FPS. The Osmo has ample power for several hours of stop and go video recording, which is how I normally use these type cameras. The battery handle increases run time even more with a supplemental 950mAh battery that replenishes the camera’s internal battery as needed. It can also act as a power bank and charge other devices via USB-C. I can easily check the handle battery status, even while it is detached, by pushing a small button on the handle which illuminates a small LED to show battery level. Charging speed for both the camera and handle are excellent. I can charge the camera from empty to full in under an hour and charging from approximately 45% to full takes roughly twenty minutes. I’m charging with the included USB-C charging cable and a spare 18W phone charger I had lying around. No charging cube is included in the bundle. The charger and camera get a little warm during charging, but nothing remotely concern worthy. It feels well within normal thresholds and is no warmer than the camera gets while recording. The included nylon carrying/storage case is a good totable size, offers decent protection, and has individual compartments for all the gear. Everything except the included protective cover fits inside nicely without any excessive tightness. The protective cover provides a less bulky storage alternative and is good for protecting the camera and gimbal outside of the case. However, it is too large to fit inside and must be carried separately if traveling with the entire set. The Pocket 3 has mostly been fantastic, but I did run into a couple minor issues during use. First, I had to reformat my Extreme micro-SD card from FAT32 to exFAT on my PC before the camera could recognize it. Second, I am unable transfer files from my phone with mobile data enabled. I was curious why I couldn’t transfer any files, even after the firmware update, and sought out answers online. Apparently, this isn’t a new or random issue. I found a year-old video for the same issue on the Pocket Cam 2 that instructed to disable mobile data on iPhones if encountering this issue. I did so and was able to transfer files afterward. The pocket 3 is a portable production marvel that checks off many boxes as far as ease of use and capability. Post production friendly formats like D-Log M and RAW allow more granular fine tuning and color balancing in photo/video editors, and there are several other easier to use modes and tools that can boost creativity whether shooting a vlog segment, amateur filmmaking, hobbyist photo/videography, or just capturing a birthday party. It’s accessible and easy enough for practically anyone to use. The Mimo companion app expands creative options as well by offering filters, an editor and AI powered templates for creating quick slideshows or highlight reels.

After purchasing it from Best Buy, I've had a chance to put it through its paces, and I wanted to share my thoughts. Design and Build Quality: The compact design of the Osmo Pocket 3 makes it incredibly portable. It fits easily in my pocket, which is perfect for on-the-go filming. The build quality feels premium, with a solid feel that inspires confidence. The gimbal mechanism is smooth and reliable, ensuring stable footage even while moving. Camera Performance: The camera quality is outstanding, featuring 4K video recording at up to 60fps. The image quality is sharp, with vibrant colors and excellent low-light performance. The ability to shoot in various modes, including time-lapse and slow motion, adds to its versatility. The updated sensor captures more detail, making it suitable for both casual and professional use. User Interface: The touchscreen interface is intuitive and responsive, making navigation easy. I appreciate the quick access to settings and modes, which allows for a seamless shooting experience. The ability to customize settings also adds a layer of control for those who want to dive deeper into their filming. Accessories in the Creator Combo: The Creator Combo includes several useful accessories, such as the tripod, external microphone, and wide-angle lens. These additions enhance the overall functionality of the device, allowing for more creative filming options. The tripod is particularly handy for stable shots, and the microphone significantly improves audio quality. Battery Life: Battery life is decent, providing around 140 minutes of continuous recording. You just might leave the big camera at home!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Since I started using the Osmo pocket three, I now own three of them. I have a very busy video and photo production company and we use these daily. When I first picked up the Osmo pocket three I originally got it just for the convenience of having a handheld device that would give me what I thought would be the same quality of an iPhone with some stabilization. I have since been blown away by the quality that this little guy puts out! Being able to shoot in D-Log and match just about any other footage we are shooting from our other cameras is essential and it knocks it out of the park. There's tons of accessories available, including ND filters that really take this from a simple handheld device to a mini cinematic powerhouse. Don't discount it for its censor size or physical size. I could shoot side-by-side with a camera system five times more expensive and the end user would never know the difference. On a personal note, I have used it quite a bit during traveling because of the fact that it is extremely small and it allows me to Vlog very easily with a microphone all in a package that is not attention grabbing. Small enough to pack anywhere you need and with the external battery handle long enough life for all day shoots. I don't really have any cons at this point other than there are some users that have had issues with the rotation of the screen and all I can tell you is if you treat it easily and don't forcibly rotate it you shouldn't have any problems. The creator combo is amazing, the sound quality from the microphone is great including the noise cancellation which is a feature I use daily. At the end of the day, I'll probably buy another one and can't wait until the Osmo pocket four comes out, but it may be a while..

Love my pocket 3
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Fantastic Little Powerhouse! - Best Buy Purchase I recently picked up the DJI Osmo Pocket 3 from Best Buy here in McKinney, and I'm absolutely thrilled with it! From the moment I unboxed it, I could tell this little camera was something special. The video quality is outstanding. The new 1-inch sensor makes a huge difference, delivering crisp, clear footage with fantastic detail and impressive low-light performance. Whether I'm shooting vlogs around town or capturing family moments, the picture looks professional. The 3-axis gimbal stabilization is truly magical. It smooths out every movement, making even handheld shots look incredibly stable and cinematic. It's a game-changer for anyone who's tired of shaky video. What I love most is how incredibly portable and easy to use it is. It literally fits in my pocket, so I can take it anywhere without a second thought. The rotating touchscreen is brilliant – quickly switching between horizontal and vertical shooting for different platforms is so convenient. Navigating the menus is also intuitive and straightforward. The battery life has been great for my needs, allowing me to shoot for a good amount of time before needing a recharge. Setting it up was a breeze, and pairing it with the DJI Mimo app on my phone was seamless. The staff at the McKinney Best Buy were also helpful in answering my questions before the purchase. The whole experience was smooth and positive. Overall, the DJI Osmo Pocket 3 is a fantastic piece of kit. It's powerful, portable, and incredibly easy to use, making it perfect for vloggers, content creators, and anyone who wants to capture high-quality video without the bulk of a traditional camera. Highly recommend picking one up from Best Buy!

I’ve been waiting for this
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have tried different solutions for video. I have an Osmo mobile for my iPhone, but it was too much of a hassle to get it ready to shoot. I tried a professional gimbal for my R3 and hated the size and lack of portability. Most other highly movile solutions lacked in quality and festures. But this Osmo pocket seems to have it all. The video quality is amazing for such a small form factor. It doesnt match my professional camera, but it does fit in my pocket much better. Even the low light is bery good. My iphone 15 pro does a great job too, but I prefer the look of the gimbal versus digital stabilized video. The subject tracking is much inproved over what i have used in the past and makes this a great camera for a one person job. And I love that I can shoot in 10 bit log. Having more control over the colors without having it look fake, is a big deal for me. I bought the package which includes the microphone and while it was a bit more expensive, im happy to have that external mic as an option for my vlog and first person videos. The big con is the price. It is a top tier proce in this category. But in this case, i feel that it was worth it.

Almost the perfect camera!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm old enough to remember lugging around a huge camcorder a few decades ago, only able to get weak shaky video images and a sore back! Now you can handhold a 4K camera with a 1" sensor (which gives you astounding picture quality!!) that doesn't weigh more than a can of Coke,, with a battery that lasts hours and a fantastic stabilizer for smooth videos! And the Combo pack adds an incredible wireless microphone that makes my 2 decade old Sennheiser wireless microphones to shame (and also cost $1500 20 years ago!) Everything about this camera almost replaces your old video camera, your SLR camera, your microphones. I know I would have sold my first born child for this technology back when I was in film school. You can easily get outstanding, professional footage with ease. The larger viewscreen is also a HUGE improvement. No need to carry a backpack of camera/sound gear with you when you go on trips or vacations. A small handheld unit that is very inconspicuous is all you need! My only beef: the manual is ridiculously long and complex. WATCH YouTube VIDEOS INSTEAD! They are a much faster way to understand settings and controls!

High Quality in a small package
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love this camera. As someone who is big into photography and video, this has become my new favorite camera. It produces high image quality in a small form factor. Easy to carry in my back pocket. In a few seconds I can pull it out and start shooting rarely missing special moments. The tracking on this is on point. Simply pick your subject and the camera will do the rest ensuring your subject is always in frame and sharp. The included tripod and external microphone allows place the camera and shoot selfies. The camera seamlessly connects to the DJI Mimo app on your phone where you can control it from a distance without having to run back and forth to the camera to start and stop recording or change settings. And best of all, you can edit the videos or photos in the Mimo app as well as wirelessly download them to your phone so you can share immediately. In regards of in settings, the camera has a ton. One of my favorites is hyperlapse which speeds up your video. I’ve taken a few as a test and have some ideas in regards to how I’ll use it. One being a sunrise or sunset. After a good amount of use, I don’t have any negatives to report. Camera is built solidly, the bigger display is a huge upgrade from the last version and the kit in whole, from well made carrying case, to accessories such as the protective cover, microphone, extended battery pack/grip are all amazing. If you are a creator, this is a must have. The creator package comes with everything you need to start creating quality content out of the box.

Two Months Later — The DJI Osmo Pocket 3 Creator C
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After two months of using the DJI Osmo Pocket 3 Creator Combo almost daily, I can confidently say it’s one of the best investments I’ve made for my content creation. First, the video quality still amazes me. The 1-inch sensor and 4K resolution give such crisp, vibrant footage — even in tricky lighting. Low-light performance, in particular, has been way better than I expected from such a small camera. Everything stays incredibly smooth thanks to the 3-axis gimbal, no matter if I’m walking, panning, or moving quickly to catch a shot. The Creator Combo extras have really proven their worth. The wireless mic is a lifesaver — it’s reliable, sounds fantastic, and makes shooting quick interviews or voiceovers effortless. The wide-angle lens attachment has expanded my creative options a ton, especially for travel and landscape shots. In terms of portability, it’s unbeatable. I can throw it in my pocket or backpack without worrying about it. The battery life has remained strong too — easily covering a full day of shooting with a few breaks. The touchscreen is super responsive, the menus are intuitive, and firmware updates from DJI have only made the experience smoother. If I had to nitpick, I’d say it would be nice if the wireless mic charged a little faster — but honestly, it’s a minor thing compared to how much value this combo brings. Two months in, I’m still excited every time I pull it out to shoot. Whether you’re a casual creator, a vlogger, or a professional needing a versatile B-camera, the Osmo Pocket 3 Creator Combo is 100% worth it. It’s compact, powerful, and genuinely fun to use. Easily a 10/10 — still feels like magic every time.
