Recorded video runs slower than a DSLR.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a cool action cam and get great a moving time lapses. I thought I'd give it a go as a 3rd and wide shot in an event video because I can control it remotely. I was a disappointed because I could never fully sync it in the timeline with my DSLR's because it records slow. I had to bump it up to 104% speed in the timeline but could never find that exact match. That being said if you are using this camera outside in daylight its all good but if you are running with other cameras you'll have to be creative. Portability = A+ Smoothness = A Features = A Audio = D- Low Light = D-

Great camera
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This little guy has phenomenal video. On top of that im sure the second gen is better with all the modularity but i havent bought it yet because i cannot just throw this piece of technology out its so handy and good. The price discounted is beyond worth it if you have it its worth it at retail without a hesitation of a doubt.

Small! Focus hunting, tiny screen and needs acc!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Design of the product is really good. Seems high quality in materials and build. Tracking works well it appears. The stabilization is really good (as it should be from a gimbal). The screen is too small to really see well during a bright outside day. I'm using this for quasi-vlogging, would love to see myself more clearly for framing. The focus just keeps hunting, I can't get it to work right no matter how much I tap on the screen (and I'm on the latest firmware). The camera lens seems a bit narrow in field of view for what I want to use it for (vlogging). I find myself having to extend my arm quite far to avoid cropping my head/face. Lastly for me is a weird one. This has no wireless, so I have to always plug into my phone to transfer footage. But 4K footage can only be transferred through a PC it seems. The wireless module is $49 which seems high to me. I still have to test how it will do in high vibration and high wind as that is where gimbals tend to start to hit their limits as well.

Too small for its own good
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I know, what you are thinking. While there are obvious benefits of this device to be small and pocketable, there was a lot of sacrifices made to go along with this. Being small, and light, it is difficult to keep your hand steady and you can see it in the footage. Specs are laughable for this camera, my Samsung note 9 is way better. There is a focus issue on this camera, even after the firmware update. With a small screen like this, you WILL miss some shots. Since this device is small, the battery is weak and short-lived. No wifi or other connectivity- the screen is small and can easily be bumped by your fingers and change the settings inadvertently. It is so small, it's not even ergonomical to hold, feels weird, occupying only half of your hand, and I have a small hand. Lastly, this thing gets hot. It's not going to burn your hand hot, but you'll know right away you are holding a very warn device in just a matter of a few seconds. Here some advice for DJI: I think you can make this a little bigger (and still pocketable) but add a bigger screen- better camera specs and firmware. Wireless and sharing capability is a must and most importantly better battery life. The focus needs to be fixed. Also, put a gimbal lock so the head does not flop when walking around while the device is off. Sorry, I am returning mine today- It does not beat my cell phone as a "walk-around" camera.

We are sorry that you aren't enjoying the Pocket. We are working on firmware to fix the focus issue, and hopefully it will be more to your liking then.

Total Portability
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've owned several of the Osmo devices but this by far takes the lead. For the size and portability and the fact that it shoots 4k/60 makes this worth the cost. The accessories are overpriced but you'll end up getting them anyway.

Camera get too hot
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Returning the camera back to store. This camera get so hot within 10 minutes of use that I have to turn it off to cool it down and use it again. And all this on the lowest setting. No one mention about this anywhere.

Meh
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Love the size. However, it's almost 2019. Picture quality is pretty 'meh' for this price range. If you need small, this is the winner. If you need genuine 4K quality, go big or go home. Or at least bigger than this.

Convenient but just Ok
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Video quality and pictures are ok with just the right amount of lighting. Too little and things look too grainy. Too much and usually things are blown out. When viewing the videos and pictures you would think they were taken on some type of mid-range cell phone device. Videos are over sharpened and blown out. The best feature this has going is that it is stabilized. But $350 for just stabilized video? I think your better off getting the latest iPhone or Galaxy or Pixel along with a nice gimbal. You already have to attach your phone to the Osmo to access necessary settings.

Bugs!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Lots of bugs in this unit. DJI customer support gives you the run around for help. My osmo died and will not power on after being used a few times! Battery level was also at 80%. Thankful bestbuy honored an exchange for a new one. Becareful as other consumers are also experience the dead Osmo Pocket problem as well!

$350 paperweight
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After spending over an hour trying to get this activated and then another hour with support trying to troubleshoot and act like they don't know that there's a problem with these devices, I've decided that I'm going to be returning this unit and avoiding DJI for a while. I had the Osmo Mobile 2 and that was buggy. I'm not sure why I didn't expect this thing to have issues. This activation issue appears to be widespread and the unit is useless without being able to activate. It's certainly not ready to be sold in stores.
