This is a great starter drone for minimal money. If you aren't sure drones are your thing this gives great video and pictures for minimal cost. Range isn't as good as adv or pro, but it isn't 1000$. There are controller mods to fix the short range if needed.

I bought a parrot at target and it was junk the app is garbage and it was hard to control the camera wasnt good at all and it was 419.00 out the door so the next day i took it back and went to best buy and picked up the phantom standard im not going to lie i was kinda worried it would be about the same since its fairly close to the same price but i was wrong the phantom standard is so bad to the bone that i want the next level up lol this thing is so easy to control and the pictures are great also it is crazy how far tech has came i set the home position and fly it out of sight and i hit the come home button and it flys back and hovers back down to within 1 to 2 feet of where it took off this thing is defanitly money well spent i would recommend this to anyone!!! The downside to it is the instructions they are garbage you will find your self iching your head thinking what the heck where these people thinking when they developed these instructions and wonder how they made such a great drone but lacked in the instructions department. But i would say if you want one of the best drones on the market in this price range you can not go wrong with this one!!!

Will need to review all DJI downloads before getting started and have Smartphone access. Have some patience and follow instructions for safe setup and flight. Great quad !

This drone worked flawlessly. Pairs nicely with my iPhone and iPad. Camera resolution and control is excellent. Automatic features are great for new flyers. We were up and flying in 10 minutes. With DJI app you can save videos and pictures on your iPhone or iPad. Highly recommended for beginners.

This is a great drone for the price. It has a beginners mode that can be switched off for more advanced modes like follow me, point of interest and more. Will also automatically come back to home point and land before battery runs out. Average flight time on fully charged battery is about 25 minutes.

This will sound odd but we purchased this for my 6 year old son due to his interest in robots and movie making. It is so simple he was flying it with no help within 15 minutes of instruction. Great features. We looked at cheaper models and decided to spend the extra due to the reviews and the camera.

It works great specially landing is excellent. I tried it to go high and it’s incredibly works great.

DJI Phantom 3 Standard has to be one of the easiest drones to master. I've made high quality aerial videos after 2 days. Keep in mimd the camera catches only video. The best feauture is that the standard can be modded with an upgraded antenna to achieve 10 mile flight radius for cheaper that DJI 4 Pro.

The Phantom 3 standard is a great introduction to the lineup of DJI drone products and in to photography style drones in general. This thing is capable of taking good looking video and pictures. My one knock on the Phantom 3 Standard is it's range. It does not use DJI's Lightbridge technology which will limit it's range and make it more susceptible to local interference.

This is a great drone for a beginner. It is very easy to fly and has great stabilization. I have not yet encountered a situation where I am afraid of it flying off on its one. It has a beginner mode that everyone should use if it is your first time flying it to get yourself more familiar with it.

I had to buy this to replace the Cheerson CX-22 I purchased in April 2016 due to it crashing while on a TV series set. I figured for $500 I give it a try even though a lot of people have said other things about DJI products. I however can attest that DJI products, and particularly this one are fantastic. The features you get in this compared to other quadcopters and not even comparable and the camera footage is insane. I will say that being able to shoot in RAW format is a big plus for me since photography and videography is my business. My only regret is not buying the Professional series when I had the money from DJI and not that Cheerson CX-22 Follower model.

I would highly recommend this drone. The picture quality is excellent. The only problem is it is a little bulky to carry. The batteries last exceedingly long time. I am amazed at how fast it flies and if it gets lost or out of range it will come back home on its own.
