my first experience with this drone and i love it.

I purchased this drone after the Christmas gift drone I got broke. That was from LA Quads and they are junk. I purchased this 2 days after Christmas and started to learn to fly it. It was pretty easy to learn even if the translations to English are not exact. The app for the phone works great. I read about some firmware issues but I did not experience any problems. If you are starting I would recommend the prop guards as I ran into numerous low level objects, two of which were my legs and they got cut pretty bad. The next MUST purchase are the carbon fiber prop blades. The cheap white ones are not balanced very well. Much smoother with the other blades. Extra batteries are a must to keep the flying practice going. I opted for 3 batteries and the charge station. The video is awesome for the standard model, I would love to see the quality of the professional model. The main unit is pretty tough as I hit the roof of the house and it fell and started hovering. I was amazed. As you can see they lowered the price so I went back to Best Buy and they gave me a credit for $200 so I purchased and 64 gig card and the hard back carrying case. Great drone I highly recommend getting this if you are even thinking of getting a drone. I would also go to DJI website and watch the videos they are very good and you will learn a lot about the operation of the drone.

I couldn't decide between this and the Advanced. In the end I wish I would of went with at least the Advanced. Mostly because of the flying range. Ended up getting the Professional cheaper than the Advanced last week.

Really liked this item but even after exchanging it for another we couldn't get the camera/phone to stay connected so we returned again and decided to wait hopefully after awhile it will improve and we will get another

I loved the drone until I seen how easy it was to break from simply falling off the couch, at the point my camera became completely unusable because a black strip broke. The camera wires shouldn't be so exposed

Good, but wish there were more tutorials for this product. My son who is 15 was flying it For about a week after we purchased it, he had connection, but then lost it so ultimately we lost the product

Product works fine, but will malfunction. Mine malfunctioned and flew off, crashed to the ground and broke. You will get absolutely no service from the company without paying an arm and a leg.

i love this item and enjoy it a lot but it had a malfunction and flew itself into a tree while controller was in lap only months after purchase so i'm having to take it to be fixed

Provides a lot of fun once you get the hang of it. Documentation not very clear but customer support helped me understand how to set it up and operate it.

I was initially going to buy an RC racer as I wanted something durable that would be fun to fly. After regretfully buying a piece of junk Parrot AR 2.0, I was of course skeptical on buying another "name brand" drone. I am glad I went with the DJI. While it's not a racer, it flies very well, and is still a blast. The gimbal keeps the camera steady, even when fast maneuvers. The app is decent, and provides the ability to do a "return to home," and a "follow me." In addition, it shows your flight path and flight times. I average about 25 minutes on a battery charge, and it takes about an hour an half to recharge it. I would highly recommend buying an extra battery or two, as the 25 minutes goes by quickly. A few points. This is a heavy drone, so you WILL need to register with the FAA. While it's relatively durable, you still need to be careful as you have the camera hanging beneath it. Thankfully, you can find DJI brand parts on-line in the event you happen to have a date with Mother Earth. However, I would not recommend this for kids as it is an expensive device.

Do not purchase for kids. Drone is very expensive for the cheap quality. Wait till the price comes down and quality improves

Just doble check this Android will be compatible with your device, I get it for my son birthday with a HTC One But fail.

Aerodynamics not good, The Gimbal is too weak in its connection to the body. Clarity and video stabilization is great.

Low end - entry level drone - best to wait for the technology to get better and more affordable.

Great job on the alignment of it yet again and they are open to trying new things.

Great entry level drone for a new hobbyist if you don't want to spend too much money

This is my first Drone. This drone is easy to fly right out of the box. Leave it in beginner mode for the first few hours and fly it in an open field. After that let it rip and have fun. Pros: This is a very stable platform. You cannot flip it. It stays very level and the picture and video quality is top notch for a drone in this price range. The range is very good and the features on the DJI app are excellent. Con: The DJI App does not seem to work well with Android devices. It kept having drop outs with my phone and tablet. I finally broke down and bought an iPad Mini and since I purchased that it has worked fantastic. Final Thoughts: If you are thinking about getting into drones, spend a little extra and get a drone that is basically an entry level professional model.
