I had been flying a Cheerson CX-20 for the past year and enjoying it, though there were always some calibration and stability issues with GPS, Compass etc...and the constant need to use Mission Planner software to solve these issues. I was always wondering what would break next..... So about 2 months back I bought the Phantom 3 Standard after the price drop from $699 to $499, I could not resist and I could not be more pleased. The unit is solid and calibrates quickly and easily. The DJI Go App is excellently done and the Quadcopter amazingly well. After close to 20 flawless flights now, I can say that I am very pleased....In fact, I have not touched the CX20 since I purchased the DJI Phantom. A great product, just take your time, read all the tutorials, fly in safe areas-away from homes and interference, pay attention to what the DJI Go App is telling you and you will really enjoy this bird. Easy to fly, stable and comes home when battery gets low. No need for 4K video on the advanced, 1080p on this is very clear. Con: Batteries are EXPENSIVE

I bought this drone after reading the reviews and it did not disappoint. We have owned it for a week and I don't think my husband has let a day go by without flying it. We had a little trouble with the firmware when he was setting it up but I read a few forums online and we figured out that we missed a step. Once that was fixed we haven't had any other issues. I bought the prop guards for it since this is his first drone and he took them off after a few flights because he said it was so easy to fly that you would really have to work hard to fly it into something. The videos and pictures are amazing. The flight time is about 25 minutes as stated. I would recommend this product to anyone.

I live near an airport. I did my research before purchasing this product but never seen any information on the geofencing software installed on this product. The company has installed geofencing to keep these drones from flying in restricted areas. If you are within a restricted area the drone will not even leave the ground. Due to my location the drone I purchased would not even leave the ground. The company tell you that you can file for an exception however the process have to be repeated every 90 days and to obtain a exemption letter from the FAA you will wait 90 days.

Absolutely the best drone for the money. If you are a beginner or an experienced flyer, it does not matter. This drone takes amazing photos from a vast of different perspectives along with crystal clear 1080P videos that you will keep forever. if you have trouble flying it around your home, keep in mind that wireless networks around your neighborhood will mess with the drones ability to get a clean signal and cause your video to cut out. I've flown my standard away from dens wifi networks and have flown this drone to the point where I couldn't even see it, but was still able to get clean video with my S6 Edge Plus. DJI is the only way to fly!

I just flew my new drone for 45 minutes and I'm happy to report this is the best purchase I've made in a LONG time. I originally wanted an AR Drone 2.0 but after doing some research bought this one for 2x the price *gasp*. This is a real R/C aircraft. It is powerful and not for children. You will be required to register with the FAA (and for good reason). You will also have a blast flying it and recording HD videos!!! One potential issue... I had significant difficulties with the Android app on my Note 5. So much so that I did not feel comfortable flying my $700 aircraft with it. Fortunately I had an iPhone and the IOS application is significantly more stable. This is my 2nd drone and after 5 minutes I felt completely comfortable increasing my altitude to 300 ft and flying around my neighborhood.

It would have been nice to know that once it update software you might have to change your phone, just when i was getting the hang of it. Well now i will upgrade to the marivc

Instructions for installing the blades seemed backwards Was very difficult to control when I got it in the air Actually crashed & broke the first time I got it off the ground

I bought this on the 2nd and love flying it very easy and fun but after 22 day the camera started going crazy (didn't crash) so I took it back to Best Buy they didn't want to help at all would not exchange it or anything just gave me a number and said good luck so now it is at dji in California hopefully will be fixed soon and get it back honestly I love dji I feel they make good products maybe was a glitch or something I'm just not happy with my experience with Best Buy

New to Drones? This is the one you need, the DJI Phantom 3 Standard. GPS assistance and actual guidance. Can be flown without a smart device but I would not recommend that. The app, DJI GO, adds intelligence to the P3S, Set it to: Follow you, Circle a Point of Interest, follow a path set using check points. Out of Range? Low battery? It will fly up to a preset (by you) height and fly to its home (take off point). The only reason I give it a 4\5 is due to SOMETIMES the camera feed wont show on your connected device. Just a restart of the app and RC and Phantom fixes it.

I had the original Phantom and loved that!, but I wanted to be able to get smooth video, so i bought this on sale, and man that DJI GO App is so cool, and the video was awesome!, smooth and i can go far away just as i did before, so for me no problems. Maybe some day they will make plug in goggles for the iPhone 6 plus i have and it would be even cooler!!

It crashed after I gave the command to rerurn to home. Which was near my feet The first two times it worked perfect Third time it took iff in the opposite direction and crashed. Best Buy would not replace and DJI charged me $191 to repair & it's $399 for a new one Also charger cord for remote didn't work and wasn't replaced

THE TOY BY ITSELF, IT'S AMAZING. THE CAPABILITIES ARE WONDERFUL, AND I'M ONLY WONDERING WHAT THE 4K CAMERA COULD DO ON THE PROFESSIONAL EDITION. SO FAR I'VE BEEN ABLE TO FLY IT CONSTANTLY AND I FEEL SECURE THAT IF I GET PANICKED I CAN ALWAYS JUST PRESS A BUTTON AND HAVE THE DRONE FLY BACK TO MY LOCATION.

Bought this drone after seeing a friend of mine fly one. When all was said and done, spent over 8 hours on the phone with Tech Support (DJI Support is terrible) for a mere 32 minutes of flight. Apps won't work with Android (despite the specs on the box) and kept having to reset the RC connection.

After buying a hobby store $330 drone with camera/video downlink I was left wanting much more... The hobby store guys bamboozeled me on how their unit had their support for parts and service. It sure did- after all the crashes. They poo poo'd the Phantom- thing is you don't end up crashing it due to the GPS safe mode! That one was a waste of money after getting the Phantom 3 Standard. I'm in total awe of what this thing will do. We haven't scratched the surface yet of its capabilities. I am looking for an iPad Mini mount. So nice with the big screen! I too recommend getting a sun shade hood. Also- get a spare battery- you'll want to keep flying!

First and foremost there is no easy set up, could not get this to fly at all, had to return it because it would never work, Best Buy couldn't get anyone to get it to work either

Looked at several reviews and quadcoppers. After I discovered this one, I selected it and I love it. This one is AWESOME! Very easy to fly and the camera is on point for my needs. Excellent for beginners.
