it took me a long time to finally go thru with this purchase , been kicking the tires sort a speak for almost 2 years . glad i made the decision . extremely easy to fly beginner mode take the guess work out of take offs and landings . camera view is great . if your looking for a drone go for the phantom line

Easy to learn for beginner flyers. Very steady in island breezes here and I've had no issues with any of the connections. Looking forward to many hours of flying and capturing video!

It's great to live in a time when $499 will buy a RC Copter that will shoot high quality video and photos to boot. I was hesitant to buy this model (Phantom 3 Standard) vs the Advanced or Professional, but I'm extremely happy with my purchase. This is our first "Drone" and I wouldn't have it any other way.

P3s is by far the best way to spend your money on a drone without going poor. Spend a little more for this model if you want to have safe fun flying. I am a noob to drones and just love mine. Just keep in mind this is not a toy, once you get all the things you need to really enjoy flights, this will be $1k hobby and up. My nickname is my IG account if you want to see vid

There's a lot of mixed reviews regarding this dji drone. Wether some some of the negative reviews are based on pilot error, or mechanical function, it's hard to say. I haven't had a single issue with this drone. Set up was a breeze. Flying this drone is incredibly easy. Thank god for gps mode. The most likely reason for crashes with this would most likely be caused by pilot error. I get heavy interference warnings with this drone, because I am flying it near large metallic objects. And only trust gps mode very lightly, practice in atti mode, believe me is this thing loses gps signal " and it will" is nice to be able to fly this thing without assistance. Also upon reading some reviews, regarding this quad copter dropping out of the sky, there is a stick command, that will shutdown all power to the drone regardless of altitude. Read up on all the controls, and familiarize yourself with this quadcopter, and it will bring hours of fun into your life. Best of luck.

the product does not come with great instructions. Took me a while to find out that I had to register the drone with the FAA. Also, camera quality is not as good as I was expecting. However easy to fly, great height and distance, super fun, worth the money

I bought this one for my son and asked him a year later if he wanted to upgrade and he said he did not. He said that this one was awesome. It was all he needed. He loves it!

I am having an absolute blast with this drone! I originally purchased a Yuneec Q500 4K and immediately returned it the next day because I could not control it. I was very nervous that it was going to fly away or crash. I exchanged it for this one and to my surprise, it was an amazing experience! I watched the online videos and read the manual thoroughly before taking it out and didn't have any problems once I got it outside. It flew perfect and has great control. Make sure that you watch all the videos online and read the manual inside and out! It takes an hour or so, but definitely worth it in the end so you don't have a crashed drone in 10 minutes. I also highly recommend testing it out in a field away from everything.

Out of box and flying no problem. Flew perfectly! Had for 8 days flew maybe 6 times. Used the dji go app on Apple i6. Had an update on 12/23/2015 so I installed it. After the update I got a "no Rc signal" message that I could not fix. Tried everything, read forums, dji support, nothing worked to get it to link up with the drone. Returned it with no issues. This was a great drone and I'll look for another one. This was the DJI Phantom 3 standard. Many people having problems with the update so research it before you buy it. I hope the correct it. I'm missing it already! Happy Holidays!

This item is known for its fly-away problems. I had a problem which resulted in its demise. Customer service from DJI has been non-existent and unresponsive. I strongly suggest 3DR or another researched company that stands by their products.

I really love the quality and very controllable, stable, First drone standard not stable in air i thought some defective and returned got exchange but later i understood my location has some GPS issue most of the time i cant fly with standard GPS so i returned and ordered Advance i hope it will solve my issue.

Nice Drone. Seems like it is built well. Bestbuy was offering a package deal when you purchased this drone, and threw in a $60 dual charger that is suppose to charge the drone and remote at same time. The only problem is, the remote controller uses a micro USB to charge, which isnt on the charger. So in my opinion, the $60 is a waste of money since the charger doesnt work as advertised. Would have preferred to take the $60 off the drone price.

Not as advanced as the phantom 4 but great for starters easy to fly right out of the box.

The phantom 3 standard was going to be my entry into drone flying and some picture and video shots. First let me say how stable and nice the Phantom 3 standard was to fly. I was impressed. However it fell way short when the wifi link was lost after only 60 feet. After contacting DJI and not getting any help from them I returned the unit to Best Buy. I will wait until the Pro model goes on sale as I have seen them in action and that would be the smart way to go. I have not see the advanced model it may have better reception than the standard as the transmitter has a better antenna set up.
