    Exceeded every expectation!

I'm a professional photographer/videographer in the midwest with 25 years of experience. After trying out all the latest drones through friends and contacts in the field, I can honestly say the Phantom 4 is by far and away a level above anything on the market around this price. I've been wanting to jump into aerial photography for a few years but couldn't find anything that would give me professional quality shots at this price until the Phantom 4. Not only is the 4K camera amazing but the drones stability and intelligent flight features help even the most rookie (me) drone pilot capture professional images. I've already had huge success when telling clients that I now have a 4K drone and paid this off in one shoot! If you're into aerial photography and don't want to spend an arm and a leg the Phantom 4 is a sure bet!

    Amazing drone for a Beginner

I tried the phantom 3 Advanced before getting this one, I feel this one is sturdier and a lot more stable, the shots are a lot better and the handling feels a lot safer to this unexperienced pilot, the updating software and firmware its a lot easier in this version of the drone, totally recommend it !

Hello al3xtr3m0. If you're experiencing playback issues with 4K video when using your computer, do ensure that your computer is 4K compliant/capable. However, if your comment is regarding the live stream on your mobile device, check that you are using a compatible mobile device - the list of devices can be seen under the 'App/Live View' subheading at http://www.dji.com/phantom-4/info#specs . Also make sure the firmware on the aircraft and remote control are up to date - https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL65kukZorPdMjwzR5PmzAnMdR6RYwS1mB . For further help, you are welcome to reach out to our support team by phone, live online chat or email - contact details are at http://www.dji.com/support . Thanks. DJISupport

Best Buy Great. DJI not so great.

First of all I would like to thank Best Buy for how they handled the problems I had purchasing the Phantom 4. (5 Stars) Now for the problems. This is not my first drone. I have flown R/C airplanes, helicopters, and multi rotor drones for years. I have used DJI products ever since they came out with the Flame Wheel 450 and use DJI controllers in multiple multi rotors. Purchased the first Phantom 4 and brought home. The set up was very easy and didn't have any problem with the app or updating the firmware. The problem was the camera gimbal was unresponsive. The gimbal would not calibrate. Followed all the troubleshooting steps from DJI support with no resolution. The gimbal would either not respond or move wildly. I went back to Best Buy and exchanged it for Phantom 4 number 2. Phantom 4 number 2 would would not calibrate IMU 2. Again followed all DJI support troubleshooting steps and was unable to resolve the IMU 2 calibration failures. Back to Best Buy and exchanged for Phantom 4 number 3. Phantom 4 number 3 setup with no issues. I just completed the first test flight and was impressed with the video quality and the stability of the Phantom 4. Drones have come a long way since they first came out and this is a great easy all in one package for getting aerial video and pictures. Hopefully Phantom 4 number 3 will continue perform as well as the first test flight. Again thanks to Best Buy with the way they handled the problems with no questions ask. If I would have bought the Phantom 4 from a online store or even directly from DJI this would have taken weeks to resolve.

    Awesome Technology

I have a P3 Standard and have over 20 hours of flight time. Not one crash or mishap. Still in perfect operating condition. Quickly outgrew the range on it and decided to get the Phantom 4. I debated between it and the Phantiom 3 Pro. I'm glad I spent the extra to get the 4 with collision avoidance, active track, tap fly, sport mode, and longer battery time. IMO, well worth the money and I love the DJI brand. Also, the antennas and gimbal are built inside the shell, which is shinier and seems like a more solid construction, which gives the quadcopter a much more cleaner look. Buy it and you won't regret it. Best drones on the market, hands down!

I read tons of reviews and watched tons of youtube vids before purchasing the phantom 4. I could have bought a phantom 3 for half the price which is an excellent drone but after I saw the anti collision features this one has plus the multi modes I had to get it. It has a beginner mode which I reccommend to start with. This is not a toy and its not a take out of the box and fly machine for those inexperienced like I was. Do your home work on this. I am blown away every time I fly it and see my neighborhood in a whole new way now. Since I don't have 4k tv for now I'm just recording in 1080p and its stunningly beautiful. Some things to consider: I was using an iPhone 6 for the controller app and wanted to use a 7 inch tablet which I had to take back, just know that many tablets are not compatible with the DJI go app software that you use with it so check on DJI's website for the compatibility list, most iPhones and iPads will work but not so much android. The controller only holds up to an 7 inch tablet however on amazon they sell an extender and you can use your regular iPad with it. Legally you have to register this unit with the FAA as I did, to me its not a big deal and you can do it online but it will cost you 5 bucks. Safe Flying

    Great Photography Platform

Bought this during the black Friday discount time and couldn’t be happier. I have been flying RC and Quad copters for quite some time and enjoying flying race quads, however you can’t get cinematic videos from a race quad. In the past I have shied away from buying a phantom due to the price and decided to build my own camera platform. However if your starting from scratch you will not save any money and may end up spending more after buying things like transmitters and FPV goggles when you build a DIY quad. DJI is unmatched in my opinion at this time for aerial videography/photography platforms and if you want to start flying drones for compensations many companies require you own a phantom. If you want to see what videos taken from this quad look like check out my Phantom 4 footage on youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P4zH78dnIJ0&t

I started flying RC aircraft in the 80's. The P4 is without a doubt the best quad you can get right now! It is incredible that DJI can pack so much into such a small and lightweight platform. If you want to shoot pictures and video like a professional at an amateur price this is the drone for you! The incredible stability and collision avoidance makes this drone super easy for any level flyer, even the newest beginner.

    Great Drone and 4K Camera

I have wanted a DJI drone for years and finally decided to get one with the DJI Phantom 4. The Active Tracking is a cool new feature, but not the most reliable feature. The Active Tracking is more of a fun gimmick for open spaces. The photographs taken and 4K footage are just beautiful. The app for the drone was a bit overwhelming at first, but I quickly figured it out. Facebook Live Streaming is a fun perk if your phone/tablet is connected to an internet connection. I would definitely recommend this as it is easy to fly and fun for family and friends.

Ok in my opinion this is not a product to upgrade to if you already own a Phantom 3 professional. 1- The battery life on this product is not as advertised 28min is false considering you don't want to push your battery to the limits that way you can extend it's life and avoid a crash. 2-The avoidance system don't work on high contrast or night so it's useless plus that the system will recognize something from about 500px so it is blind to little branches and electric lines also those sensors are in the front that's it!, just 60 degrees of field of view from each one. 3-You don't really see any improvements on image quality at least I don't see it, same 12mpx camera not mentioning the slow bitrate. 4- Now the gimble is attached to the Phantom and it can be just fixed by DJI or any of their retailers not like the P3P that you can buy it separated and install it yourself in case of a crash and damage. I can go on and on but I just want to point that this is a company that will fight against you to the end and not give you any refund or anything if you have any problem with this product their reputation is really bad in terms of customer service and they will always try to blame you even if you're right. I don't have anything against them and I really like this product but my advice is don't go and spend your money on this if you own a previous model is just not worth it, again is my own opinion take it with a grain of salt and do a lot of research before buying this product.

I bought this for my son because he's been into drones for a while, flying the small ones around the house. We finally decided to get him a larger one with a high quality camera. He's already making youtube videos with the Phantom. I can't believe how easy this thing is to fly, anyone can use it, even myself who isn't the most tech savvy. I'm happy to say this was one of my best purchases as a gift.

This Drone is Amazing and Durable!

I initially wanted the Mavic Pro. However, after having this for 3 weeks, I am glad I got it instead. It is insanely easy to fly however, being careless, I crashed it twice. Once, into a building dropping 20 feet straight down leaving the camera and gimbal covered in wet snow. Not a scratch besides props breaking. Second time, I flew in sport mode which is CRAZY fast and responsive. I landed it 60 feet up in a tree, Luckily it tumbled all the way down. Again, not a scratch! This thing is crazy durable. I have flown it about 3/4 of a mile. I do have intermittent video cut outs but there are a lot of trees. Not a huge bother as you should keep it in eyesight anyhow. I let my 7 year old daughter fly it(In P mode) and she was actually able to land it with trees around, so it is super easy to fly. What I will say is know these two things and it may save you from my mishaps. 1.) Know that it will not sense anything behind it so if you back into a tree, it will crash. 2.) Know that sport mode is WAY more responsive and fast. Only run sport mode when you are above trees and powerlines or in an open area. It will catch you off guard with how fast it is. Buy an extra battery- you will want it as you get about 23-25 minutes of flight time because you want to land it before it loses all power :) It is nice to be able to land it and toss another battery in it. If you are within the 5 mile radius of an airport, be courteous and contact them. I call my local airport each time and they couldn't be nicer. They told me that they will most likely never tell me not to fly, but they appreciate knowing in the event of a complaint or an incident. When registering your drone, make sure you are on the official FFA website. There are many places that mimic the FFA. They are legit but they will charge you $25+. It is only $5 to register for 3 years.

    Amazing 4K Footage!

This quadcopter drone is amazing, the accident avoidance radar on the front actually works! Stopped me from hitting a tree a few times. The quality of the 4K video is amazing, and the track feature is really cool too! I use it to video people wake surfing behind my boat and track us as we drive around. The video is amazing, the controls are super easy to learn, but the technology and computer stuff is easy once you learn it, but takes a little bit the first time to get the thing in the air. Overall great product would definately recommend it!!!...

    Guaranteed Problem for all users

The drone itself is pretty awesome. Easy to use and very fun. However, there is one problem you're guaranteed to run into... the app. The DJI Go app is so bad I decided to return my drone and go with a different brand. Don't believe me? Go read the reviews for it in your app store. The Go app CONSTANTLY crashes while flying your drone. There are third party apps you can use to fly the drone, but beware, they may void your warranty. Another issue I ran into was the battery. Straight out the box, the battery did not work. I looked up the issue online and it appears faulty batteries aren't too rare with DJI. Lastly, I highly encourage you to research DJI customer service ratings. In a nut shell, their customer service is terrible. If you crash your drone, It's a goner just like your money.

The Phantom 4 Quadcopter performs and handles beautifully! Prior experience with a drone is recommended, but not necessarily required. Love the auto take off and the auto land features. Haven't got to try out the follow me feature yet, but am looking forward to doing so.
