Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.What an amazing company...NOT I purchased a Phantom 4 on Amazon but through DJI for $800 in April 2017. I was flying the drone August of 2017. The home point was checked before the flight. The GPS was engaged. I flew the drone 500 feet up and 1,000 feet out from my position. The drone then lost connection with my tablet. I attempted a return home. The remote and tablet began sending the sound and display that the drone was returning home. The drone never returned home. Did a fly away. When I contacted DJI they reviewed all the data and told me the same thing. When the data was reviewed it showed the drone never landed and it was not pilot error. DJI offer to sell me another drone WITHOUT the remote, charging cord, or case. Just the drone for $1,099 with a 30% discount. This would cost as must as the last one I purchased complete. I would not buy anything from this company. They sell faulty products and then won't stand behind them!

The first time I flew it I let the battery get to 14 percent befor pressing the return home buttton. The drone flew right into a tree. After sending the drone to DJI they sent me a $300 bill. I was told do to the low battery the safety features did not work. If they try to deny I was told this I have them on recording. So you extended fly time is cut severely due to losing all of the safety features.

Its a shame.

Fantastic drone but again, all goodness is null and void when basically the 3 does 99% of what the 4 does for another 1200 bucks, not seeing the value

Posted .Hey Jimmy. The Phantom 4 is actually a huge step up from the Phantom 3. Some, but not all, of the fantastic features only available on the Phantom 4 are obstacle avoidance, longer flight times, more advanced flight modes like active track and sport mode, and much more stable flight.
