This is a worthy sequel to The Shining. The bluray makes it better by adding around 25 minutes. Ewan McGregor and Rebecca Ferguson give excellent performances and the movie is genuinely creepy. I am happy with this purchase!

This movie surprised me. Is it better than the Shinning? No. But its an excellent sequel. The villain is terrifying and yet appealing.. and the cast carries this movies to a direction I really enjoyed

I just got through listening to the audio book. What a surprise to see it was already a movie! I loved the Shining. How strange to pick up the story so many years later!

Young Danny is all grown up and still haunted and tortured by events that happened when he was a child at the Overlook hotel. But these are just nightmares the past is in the past. Or are the horror's resurfacing now!

My expectations were pretty high for this movie and I would say it met them. Having not read the book I had no idea what I was in for and it turned out to be a great story. Revisiting the Overlook Hotel was awesome!

The Marketing and release date set this amazing film to fail. Its more than just a sequel to The Shinning. Great Cast and directors cut is great. Check it out.

"The Shinning" has always been one of my favourite horror flicks. And when I caught wind of a sequel coming out, it was a brainer that I would run to go see this. And I was not disappoint in the slightest bit.

I wasn't sure what to expect from this movie. I've always liked The Shining, but it's never been one of my favorites, this movie actually was fantastic, and makes me eager to revisit the first one. It's worth a look 9/10

I actually like this movie better than The Shining. This was well done and the acting is very convincing. How can you go wrong with Ewan McGregor at the helm? Get this one now for your collection - it is a "must add".

This movie is a fantastic and worthy sequel to Kubrick's The Shining. It is suspenseful, Ewan McGregor is great, and the visuals are fantastic in 4k. Plus this steelbook case is great to look at if you collect these.

This is a great story..a follow up to the shining..glad they incorporate the original story of the resort also..if you have not seen the shining you can still follow what happend back then..great cast also!

This is not your typical short attention span film. It does a slow build with thriller elements. It relates back to the original shining a good bit which was fun for me to notice. If you like king, you will enjoy. Liked the shining you will like. If you live in twitterverse it's to long for you.

We re-watched The Shining and then watched Doctor Sleep a couple of days later. A very worthy sequel! So good and all the actors did a terrific job. And yes, that fantastic “Shining” soundtrack is front and center!

Doctor Sleep is an outstanding sequel to the Shining. This movie did not disappoint and considering the low quality of today's horror movies, that is an achievement.

I really enjoyed this movie. The acting was good, it had many surprises that provided many ups and downs, and kept me interested the whole way through. A solid sequel to The Shining in my opinion.

This film is packed with scare. The way it attacks you is more psychological! I'm always on the edge of my seat! A good continuation story where the old film The Shining finished. A good movie in my humble opinion.

Exceeded my expectations for a sequel to The Shining. GREAT audio/video with the 4k disc! Creepy surround sound effects. Not a fantastic story and didn’t feel Kubrickian but still enjoyable watch.

Stanley Kubrick’s 1980 film “The Shining” is one of my favorite horror films. Even 40 years later, it still creeps me out. This sequel “Doctor Sleep” was a solid movie. Ewan McGregor did a great job as Danny, the son to Jack Nicholson’s Jack Torrance. I definitely recommend it. Great third act.

Doctor Sleep aims to do the impossible, bring together the fans of the original Shining novel and of the Kubrick film. It achieves this great challenge with Not only a fantastic sequel, but a fantastic film.

Stephen King is without a doubt a weirdo, but this is his best film!!!! Picks right up from the “Shinning”. Great story line and it wasn’t a stupid “Freddy Cruger” type film.
