It was good good but not quit as good as the original but it put all the pieces together. So if you haven't seen the 1st movie which was the Shinning you have see it 1st for this one to make sense for the sequel

Danny Torrence descends into drugs & alcohol as an adult this numb his special talent & hide from the monsters that haunt him. This Stephen King adaptation is pretty good!

I never read the book, so this is just for the film. It was very entertaining, the cast did a great job and the look a likes for the original cast was great. Highly recommended.

I think this movie could present a few rough spots for any viewer once it begins , given and ample amount of time to adjusted to the narration of the production

Great looking and sounding blu-ray that is wasted on a ridiculous story (I didn't understand why King felt a reason to write a sequel to his masterpiece "The Shining" in the first place). Picked this up during a black Friday sale for next to nothing and gave it a fair watch. We chose the director's cut and unfortunately that's 3 hours I'll never get back. My daughter loved it so I gave it to her. The 2 stars are for the picture and sound and because I'm feeling generous.

Maybe Doctor Sleep went over my head in understanding, but I just couldn't relate to this movie. Main character was boring and not engaging in his role.

I don’t know why this movie is called Doctor Sleep first of all. They turned Doc into a middle aged drunk of a loser, who’s kept his head down his entire life not using his Shinning. I don’t understand where this kid comes from or really why? The antagonists are a group of hippie soul suckers sucking your soul and magic out of you not to live forever, but a prolonged life, for what and why? Well the movie won’t tell you either! Just another scab of a movie riding the coattails of its successor!

I found the movie to be a little bit boring but I need you to understand the movie I would have to finish watching it. I prefer the shining

I’m not the biggest movie buff but I was excited when this movie came out. I was a big fan of the shining. I did not think this was that great of a movie.

Not as scary as The Shining but the film does dig deeper into the mythos. Probably worth a rental if you're not a fan of the original.

This is a extremely long film. Unlike shining, the suspense of this movie was okay at best. I should have waited for this movie to be aired on cable.

Eh. It was okay. The audio and video quality on the 4K disc is superb. The movie is okay. It’s kind of long-winded and all over the place.

The directors cut of this film is really long. Didnt enjoy it as much as The Shining, but still worth a watch if u like horror movies.

Great video quality and Atmos sound, but not as intriguing as the Shining. The story line was actually quite confusing.

I was disappointed in that I expected more activity from Danny. The story line was ok but the original was far better than this one.

I bought this due to finally watching the shinning and this movie was pretty good would buy it again

Neat idea of following up on "The Shining" but wasn't a great movie. Looks great though in 4K on my OLED TV.

Good video and audio. The throwbacks are pretty good (don't want to give anything away). Works well as a sequel.
