Total surprise. This movie collectively was great from beginning to the end. I rented it before I bought but after watching it I had to have it my collection. So I purchased the steel book. Buy it then enjoy it.

The Shinning is one of my favorite movies of all time. Dr Sleep does an excellent job as a fellow up to the original. The cast is wonderful and the extras alone are worth buying the film.

Great sequel to the original shinning. Provides a good story about what happens years later after the overlook. 4k visuals look fantastic and the bluray included has the directors cut of the film

It's a terrific follow-up to "The Shining" and it's great to have it in 4k. However, the longer, -some say better, -"Director's Cut" is only available on the enclosed Blu-ray and it's only available in 4k via streaming (which just isn't as good as having on a disc. Still, it's a great movie...

I really liked the movie the directors cuts I highly recommend but the thing holding it back from the perfect grade is the pacing at times it’s a bit slow. But overall very entertaining and a satisfying story for these characters. And a good sequel to one of the best horror movies: the shining.

Steven King's movies just keep getting better, this is an amazing movie and to have it on 4K is great. Only one issue and that is the extended version of the movie is not on the 4K disc, wish it was.

At first I was a little weary about a seque to one of the greatest psychological horror movies ever made. However, I was surprised at how well made and well written movie turned out to be. Great performances and great writing made for an entertaining movie.

As a huge fan of both Mike Flanagan and Ewan Mcgregor, I highly recommend this film. Although I am biased, as I really like scary movies, but I feel this is a solid follow up to the classic!

Haven’t watched yet. Bought as a Christmas present for a Stephen king fan. But everything went smoothly w/ buying online and picking up in store. Packaging in perfect condition, no problems.

The movie is nearly 3 hours long, and just about follows 3-acts... so it's got a mix of old and new, including amazing recreated performances of classic moments. Lush and gorgeous -- a MUST for Shining fans.

I was amazed how good this movie was. I loved how it brought back images of The Shining but topped it. Crazy how much Henry Thomas looks like Jack Nicholson.

Really good movie, is a bit slow at times but that's okay, I'm used to it bc king usually does that lol. 4k picture is awesome, soundtrack is ok I guess. Don't regret the purchase at all, love the movie!

Excellent movie -- especially the director's cut. Unfortunately, that cut isn't available on the 4K disc. Fortunately, it is available in 4K when you redeem the digital. Not ideal, but currently the best way to watch the Director's Cut.

I’m really glad there’s a directors cut to this movie. Fleshes some things out and allows the movie to breathe a little better. A must own if you’re a fan of the original Kubrick classic and Stephen King!

I have always been a huge fan of the shining and I thought that Dr. Sleep was a decent addition to the original. I enjoyed the character selections and direction the film took as a whole. I haven't had a chance to watch the directors cut yet but it has almost another 30 minutes of movie.

If you're a fan of The Shining, you'll love Doctor Sleep. Absolutely loved every second of this movie. The cast is perfect, the score is eerie, and the story is equal parts terrifying and heart-wrenching.

I did not expect to get so involve with this movie but it really is a good movie. The movie did a great job reflecting back to the original movie "the Shining" and tying in with the current story.

Never thought there could be an adequate sequel to The Shining and this is not it. However, it is a very good movie that stands on its own even if you never saw the original. Its a little uneven, but still provides the creepiness you expect from a Stephen King story.

One of the Best Movies in 4K out there - great story and you also get the Director's Cut which is a must and way better than the theatrical filling in a few holes. \o/ get it on Sale

The Doctor Sleep was a good sequel for the sale price paid but not worth a regular price usually paid for a new blu-ray and dvd. It had its moments and the acting was carried off really well considering it was produced 30 plus years after the Shining was made.
