Very good special effects, acting and action.

Bending and shaping things like city buildings and moving through different dimensions, the director takes us on a rollercoaster ride. Cumberbatch does a good job portraying a really unlikeable elitist snob who becomes a more sober and somewhat more likeable person. The action and acting all-around are very good. The 3D is good; however, there are dark scenes in the film (probably caused by the 3D). Also, if you like 3D that pops out at you, you won't really find that here. A 2D Blu-ray DVD is included. (I did not watch this 2D version.) I would have given the film an overall "Very Good" rating as opposed to "Excellent"; however, this choice is not offered in the star ratings. Doctor Strange is a different kind of Marvel character as compared to the many other types of super heroes. This character may or may not be your cup of tea.
