Doctor Who celebrated it's 50th Anniversary on November 23, 1963 (if you include the time period that the show was on hiatus in the 90s#, and the episode could not have been much better. It would have been nice for more past 'Doctors' and other characters to be involved; however, there is a nice mix of references to the older version of the show while also continuing the current storyline of the new version of the show. Of course, I want to avoid "spoilers" #as River Song might say# but be sure to watch the final moments of the episode for a nice send-off to the first 50 years. Here's to 50 more!!!

Great episode, one of the best of the current series. David Tennant and Matt Smith play excellently off each other and John Hurt is a good straight man for them (although Paul McGann could have been too). My only problem is that the blu-ray extras, while good, are lacking. They could have and should have included the docudrama An Adventure in Space and Time, and all its regular DVD features, and the short feature the Five(ish) Doctors Reboot. If those had been included, I would have given the blu-ray five stars out of five.

Day of the Doctor has some really great depth for 3D fans to enjoy, on top of an excellent episode that stuffs a ton into 70 minutes. It's pretty obvious they blew their production wad here, and that Matt Smiths retirement came as a Suprise, because this years Christmas episode just wasn't very good. Too bad they just couldn't have made this longer and let all the doctors give him a sendoff together.

This is the Doctor Who movie many fans have waited for. It's got all the humor, the witty and the Wibbly Wobbly Timey Wimey that we all love to see in a Doctor Who episode. My ONLY complaint is that I really wished the Bluray came with the 2 different openings that played b4 the movie if you went and saw this movie in theaters

Look, it's Matt Smith and David Tennant and they're in three dimensions. That either appeals to you or it doesn't. If it does, this is the only purchase you can make to appease that particular desire. Otherwise, look elsewhere.

This 50th anniversary special is a very special event in the Doctor Who world. It was made to be seen in 3D and it definitely does not disappoint. Worth every penny!

It was nice to see some of the previous doctors. Wish they could have included more.
