I didn't expect much from this movie. I think JGL is a great actor and just about any flick where I can watch Scarlett Johanssen is good in my book. The movie was dirt cheap too so I couldn't see logic in renting it versus owning it for a few bucks more.

No one's going to win an Oscar for their role in this movie but, with that said, it is an enjoyable movie to watch. If you're into off-color humor and you don't offend easily, give this one a try. But ladies, I don't think this one's for you.

I love ScarJo, but she must be a great actress because she really made me dislike her character in this one! Interesting to see the differences in how men and women look at and experience relationships.

Don Jon is about an ordinary kid. He grew up watching **** and views woman as objects instead of people. He only cares about a few things in life his pad, his ride, his boys, his church, his family, his girls and his ****. The only problem is he isn't a boy anymore hes a grown man and is still acting like a kid. The movie is more in depth than what it sounds like it tries to show you how people view things as.... how men view woman and think they should act vice versa. He has to learn to overcome the fact that woman are more than just objects

An entertaining film. Good job by JGL on his first job directing. Scarlett Johansson was a highlight as well as a surprising Tony Danza.

This is a great feature film directorial debut for Joseph Gordon Levitt, with a lovable supporting cast of characters.

JGL puts an interesting spin on the different perspectives of the sexes when it comes to dating.

I would say if you're a big fan of Joseph Gordan Levitt and Scarlett Johansson, its a must buy. Otherwise I would just rent it first. I got what it was trying to say but the movie just seemed too repetitive when it didn't need to be. ScarJo and Julianne Moore were nice to look at though.

Good story with a great cast, is a very funny film.

This movie, Joseph Gordon-Levitt's directing debut, is simply put a romantic comedy for adults. It is incredibly graphic, and with the subject matter, that is to be expected.

I thought this movie would be great; had good actors and actresses, and the previews made it look like an enjoyable and funny movie. Well, as soon as me and my wife started watching it we were shocked. If you didn't read what it was about, here is a summary (and don't worry I don't think I'm giving away any endings): Don Jon is addicted to watching X rated movies online and "pleasuring himself"...that is basically it! The story goes on about how he meets a girl, he interacts with his family, and how he "pleasures" himself continuously; that is it! Oh, and they show a lot of clips from the X rated movies he watches (not everything but you get the idea). At first, I thought it was funny because I was watching it with my wife, but after about 3 more clips it got weird, then after another 3 it got worse, then it just turned outright bad. I have no idea how anyone can enjoy this movie, absolutely horrible.

The plot was awful. But, the girl was worth watching.

This was a blind buy. I was intrigued by the trailer, but I barely made it through to the end. The movie was just plain boring. If you haven't seen it, rent it first.
