Donnie Darko is the type of movie that sparks discussions and debates. It's a beautiful film that encourages the viewer to think and question. It tackles such themes and time travel, existentialism, and death. You will either love it or hate it, but its sure to leave you thinking. Our main character, Donnie Darko, is a boy suffering from sleep walking, and now what appears to be delusions. He manages to avoid a certain death with the aid of a man in a bunny suit. This twisted bunny also informs Donnie that the world will come to an end within the month. This sparked curiosity and dread in Donnie, who also has every other aspect of a teenager's life to worry about.

This is an amazing movie that everyone should experience! You may even need to watch it a couple of times to understand it. This is a bold and daring film that challenges the subject of space and time manipulation. Even though I recommend this movie to everyone, not everyone will understand it. Everyone I know that has watched it has loved it, but a few had to see it more than once. The only people I've heard of that didn't like it are the ones who didn't understand it. My wife and I have seen it more than once and find it just as thought provoking every time. Also, make sure you get the director's cut so you can see it in its entirety. If you do like this movie, I also recommend S. Darko, the sequel, just as good. I hope you enjoy this amazing film. BUY IT!!!

This is a must-buy for an Darko fans out there. It contains both versions of the film in HD, with stunning lossless audio to boot. You also get a ton of extras, including multiple commentaries. The PQ could be better, as it appears that a dated master was used for this release. Still, it destroys the previous DVD releases in every way. Highly recommended.

Donnie Darko is a tale about a teenager growing up with some freaky things happening. It's a great movie that one may watch many times. In addition to Drew Barrymore and Patrick Swayze as part of the cast, it also includes Jake and Maggie Gylenhaal, who both provide some very real and convincing sibling bantering. Worth the watch multiple times.

I have watched this movie over and over and get a different feeling every single time I watch it. What I mean by that is that everyone who watches it can take away something different. Honestly, I can say that it depends on your mood, or your life, that will decide what you take from the movie. Check it out to see what I am talking about.

This is my favorite movie of all time. It's also a cult classic. I have not seen the original, but I have seen, and own, the Director's Cut. If you have not seen Donnie Darko yet, you MUST grab a copy of it. It's definitely worth every penny and more.

I loved the original Donnie Darko - it's one of my favorite movies ever. But I was not so much a fan of the Director's Cut. Quite frankly, I think the original version was perfect, and some of the changes for the Director's Cut ruined it for me. The main thing I would say I didn't like was some of the changes in music - I think some of the songs chosen for the DC completely change the vibe of some of the scenes, and it ruined it for me. That's just my opinion - find out for yourself...

This movie is too twisted and dark at times but it is still a great movie. The movie keeps you in a state of confusion and suspense until the very end. If you are into that kind of movie this is a great add to your movie collection.

This is absolutely one of my favorite movies! But please watch the theatrical version what makes it great is the individual interpretations this movie gives and figuring out the story with the characters.

This is one of my favorite movies of all time. It is one of those movies that makes you think. When the movie ends, the experience is not over. The move has a great plot. It is also a good length. It keeps your attention.

What's cool about this movie is that you can review aspects of it well after the first viewing. Things you didn't notice the first time may come to light later. A few catchy songs, too.
