Bought this as a gift for my brother. He likes it.

As a family we love dragon ball z. My husband was super excited to re watch them. Buy it on sale. I paid 12.99

I was always fond of watching DragonBall Z on toonami growing up, but never had a chance to experience the entire saga as a whole. Though, I was really concerned as to how I should re-enter the saga via media format. I finally came to a decision and purchased the first season of DBZ in the new blu-ray collection, given there was previously the kai collection which edited a slew of action/voices provided it also was stopped and never completed. I must say it exceeds my expectations! Everything is well done with this sorta of remastering of the original episodes. I'm aware of the cropping concerns, but no need to worry. Everything within the first season is well done with small minor issues regarding the first episode. But none the less, and excellent decision and a wise purchase for those looking to enter the DragonBall Z series.

If you are a first time viewer of this series - I would recommend starting with Dragonball, which you can find on DVD (can also be found at Best Buy). An excellent package for newcomers to this series and collector's alike. It almost looks like a brand new show with the touched up colors and 'clean' compared to its original TV airing. The aspect ratio is not original "full frame" (you can google this if you want a comparison), but this release does what it set out to do.

this is a great way for fans new and old to watch dbz from the beginning forget the Kai version this is the way to watch it the only downside is I wish they had added more to the bonus features

I was not exceited about swapping my DBZ DVDs for Blu Ray until I saw this set in action. The video restoration of an older TV show is amazing. You won't be disappointed!

I have been wanting to watch dragonball z all over again and watching it in HD is amazing, theonly bad thing about it is it barely has any special features
