As a kid I did like the original but this was way better with action. Graphics were surprisingly impressive.

Great action cinema. Comes with a lot of crime, action, and shooting. Definitely not for younger kids.

I enjoyed this movie. I don’t usually purchase many sci-fi movies but this one was fantastic!

This review is just for this release not the film itself (which is seriously underrated and one of the best action movies of the 2010s). What’s to say? The Steelbook is fantastic. What surprised me though is that it isn’t mentioned, but the original Blu-ray Disc that is included is also the 3D version of the film! So in this one package you get Dredd in 4K/HDR, Blu-ray, 3D, and digital. Literally every format available. If you don’t have this yet, get it.

This was a great skillfully made action movie that I think still deserves a sequel based on all the people who've discovered and loved it over the past ~10years. The 4K UHD looks great. Extra features are substantive and informative. And this steelbook design is beautiful. Lionsgate has very talented illustrators working for their steelbook releases and they've become really dependable for releasing great looking releases for us who enjoy collecting physical media.

Dredd is a pretty fun entertaining movie with lots of action and cool slo-mo shots.

I've watched this movie several times. Awesome. Lots of action. Lots of violence so not for kids.

Don't take my 4-star rating for granted. I LOVE this movie. However, that does not make it a perfect movie. Yes, this movie is big, violent, and does not hold back. Yes, the content is definitely of a mature nature. Yes, this is the darker take on the Judge Dredd that I had wanted for so long. Yes, this is a glorification of rage-fueled violence. The photography is unique in many instances, almost beautiful and almost sickening at the same time, which really added to the atmosphere of the movie. No, this is not an Oscar-winning performance, even though I thought Karl Urban was excellent. The script and plot were only ok. Some of the ultra-violence did not serve any more purpose than to give the visual effects folks something to do... not that I would complain about that, but some things were unnecessary to the point that it detracted from some of the more engaging and excellent scene work. Again, overall I love this movie. If you are a Judge Dredd fan, I believe you will love it to.

Better than the old one with Sylvester Stallone, plus with the psvr it works great!

If you enjoyed this in the theater or on previous home releases, then you owe it to yourself to own the 4K steelbook! The 4K is gorgeous and gritty, and the steelbook just makes the package that much better. I will admit that this is one of the rare films that I actually prefer in 3D over 4K, and I am thankful that I did purchase the 3D blu ray when it was available, but due to 3D being dead in the United States for the home, then this release is the way you want to go. This Dredd captures the look, feel, and soul of the comic series far better than Judge Dredd did in 1995 when they first tried to make a movie out of it. I think we are all hopeful for an eventual sequel, but if it never comes, at least we have a more or less perfect version of the character here.

By far an under rated movie. Way better than the Stallone version, so true to the comic.
