Excellent movie and an OK Steelbook. The is slightly disappointing because it can't stand up on it's own without the plastic cover on. May have just gotten a bad steel though.

Got this in the mail just now. Extracted the digital code to itunes and got the digital 4k version! But have the hard copy on BluRay. Score! Cant wait till my Amazon Cube TV comes in and my new 4K UHD + BluRay and 3D Player.

Dont get me wrong with all its flaws I am still a fan of the 90's dredd movie but this is a real dredd movie closer to the source material this is a movie that should have started a film series.

the movie is great but this steenbok is amazing, the video and sound quality are great if you have the right set up.

The original Dredd blu-ray’s image left something to be desired, but this 4K upgrade is gorgeous (well, as gorgeous as a gritty movie can be). If you own the blu-ray and are debating whether the 4K is worth it, it definitely is.

The original Judge Dredd movie was terrible, but a lot of fun to watch. This movie is ever worse than the original, but the 3D action is awesome. This movie is worth it just for the 3D action alone. Great popcorn movie, just don't expect any Oscar nominations.

This puts that shameful Stallone movie from the 90's to more shame. I really enjoyed this movie as much more representative of the character made famous in the comics. Great action, great overall look and feel to this flick. Karl Urban the man, the law.

I bought this for my brother for his birthday and he absolutely loves it! I was never a fan of this movie but he is so I figured, why not? He told me that the 4K is so much better than the regular Blu-ray...which I figured anyway.

Wow! I dont give out too many 5 stars but this steelbook is great, and the movie was amazing as well, LOVE the fact it came woth a steelbook platic slip cover.

Dredd is very much an 80s inspired fever dream made real. Fast, violent, and consistent in it’s tone.. it plainly deserves much more attention and is worth ALL your time.

Fans of Judge Dredd will appreciate this entry, which is FAR superior to the 1995 film with Stallone. This one is more serious in the vein of a police drama that takes place in a future where society is on the brink of lawlessness. Highly recommended.

The most underrated comic book movie. What they were able to achieve in this movie was tremendous. If you collect steelbooks or comic related media this is a must have.

Amazing movie and this is honestly one of the nicest steelbooks out there, it also comes with a clear slip cover that has the title on it, and not on the steelbook.

This movie is a great one but even better in 3D! Best deal on the price that I found. If you liked it the first Judge Dredd then add this one to your collection. The special effects are on point, and it's full of action!

Movie was great on blu ray. Karl urban does fantastic and the 3D is sweet. Depending if you have passive or active 3D will make a difference. I have passive 3D and everything is beautiful. The scenes in the apartments really stood out.

This has to be one of the most overlooked films of 2012. It's like Robocop mixed with Die Hard and it's incredible. The art style is incredible and the actors do a great job committing to their roles throughout. It is fun, you should watch.

I went into this movie thinking it was a remake of the 90's version with Stallone. It's a completely different movie and stands out as a great action movie. (Be sure to watch the original too just to get an idea of how much better this one is!)

I love this movie and really hope they put together another one and/or the rumored TV series. Gritty and 1000% better than the Stallone version. Action-packed and loud. Could only imagine it would be even better with Dolby Atmos.

Bought first one release week and it wouldn't play on Samsung BD-E5900 (3D player#, Visio VBR133 #3D player#, or LG bluray drive on PC #2D only, DVD-burner). All with the latest firmware of of 01/22/2013. - Samsung player error: "Cannot play the disc. The disc does not meet the specifications." - Visio player error: Loading and then tray just opens - LG bluray drive on PC: Tray opens: Please insert disc Exchanged for another copy 2 weeks after initial purchase - same issue/errors. I've read similar accounts from people who have purchased at other retailers so I'm not sure if it's a bad batch, incompatabilities with the 2D/3D combo disc format, or what. May try again, or just go for credit if possible on open media/product...

For a sci-fi movie, look elsewhere for something better, like the original Judge Dredd with Sylvester Stallone and Diane Lane. The characters were not engaging enough for me to actually care about them (although Olivia Thirlby was good), so that killed the movie for me right there. I don't even remember the lead actor's name! This movie could have been so much better with an improved plot and script, and another actor playing Dredd. A lot of graphic violence in this movie, which I did not enjoy. Also, the ending was unsatisfying. Technically, the blu ray picture and audio was excellent. For $5, I got what I paid for. I would not pay full price for this movie.
