I saw this once before I bought it. The first time it was great. The second watch I found it to just be ok. This is a mix of training day and the raid with a little bit of new jack city with judge dredd being the main character

Honestly this film deserves its R rating for the blood, guts and gore. Urban plays Dredd superbly given you only ever see his mouth and hear his voice... There is not really a plot but what do you expect from a comic book hero.

Top rate special effects. Non stop violence start to finish - a lot of it was graphic. Not much to the story line - get the bad guys - but that is what Dredd is all about. Good acting. 3D added some extra punch to the mix.

The movie is OK. A lot different than the Stallone version. More serious. It is a good story and entertaining. The 3D is so-so. Nothing special I got it on sale, so was worth what I paid for it.

I myself was looking forward to this film as I had done some research on the comic character who I found very interesting. I thought the film would have a grander scale as I didn't look up the plot for the film before watching. The action was pretty good with some stellar moments and visuals, but I couldn't ignore some of the cliche's, repeats, predictable, and over saturated shots. There are some good qualities of the film that I did like, but I do find myself regretting the purchase. It doesn't help that there were a few defects with the playthrough of my copy as well.

An update of the Stallone original. Not a lot of depth but lots of action (and violence) and if you watch the bonus material, you might get a renewed insight on how to view the cinematography.

Honestly, I waited years to buy this movie and I'm glad I did- the movie is good enough but I'm all about paying the right price. Best Buy had it on sale for 4.99 and I jumped all over it.

Karl Urban's talents were wasted in this movie. the character of Dreed does not give much chance to show his talents. the movie has it's good parts and bad but in the end it is better than expected
