This was a great keyboard, I did however return the purchase. I didn't return for anything other than I had seen that DROP has other versions of this keyboard. I decided to return this one and wait to get their Dwarven design if it comes to Best Buy or catch it on a sale through DROPs website. My one hiccup for this product is the lighting on the keyboard. Even with the brightness at max, the keys could still be hard to see.

Overrated, it's pretty but not for the price they charge, good quality, however it lacks basic functions such as Bluetooth connection, lighting modes and interchangeable switches

My precious… looks amazing, feels high quality, if you know the key placement without having to look at a tiny little letter in the corner it’s great.

I needed a keys and switches feel amazing. Only downside is the keys dont light up. Just the gaps between the keys do. This makes it a bit harder at night to know exactly which key you're pushing at night, epecially with the black speech language.

Solid built keyboard and i bought it mainly for the design and aluminum case. Switches are more clacky, not as thocky as i wanted. Worst part is i thought it was swappable switches but it is not. Sad.

I have come from a razer blackwodow v3 and the actuation distance is much larger. This is a bit of a deal breaker for me. I want that instant click when I press down. But beyond this issue for myself build quality is good and design is nice. Not LED so if you live in the dark might be hard to tell what key you are pressing.

This keyboard from Drop may not be the best mechanical keyboard out there, and is not aimed at the general people at all - however it is the coolest piece of computing accessory that I have as a Lord of the Rings fan.
It is a very niche keyboard which started out as a keycap set has now evolved into a full-blow keyboard offering based on the entry-level ENTR keyboards. As such, this “full” ten key-less (TKL) keyboard (87 keys) is well built, with an anodized aluminum case. The feel is quite good, and it is quite hefty, especially for a newcomer into the amazing world of mechanical keyboards. The base is black, adorned with the MT3 profile keycaps marked with the black speech (in Tengwar) invented by Tolkein. The keycap color ranges from dark to light grey, with additional keycaps colored in bloody red to make the already amazing keyboard even more eye catching. I especially liked the red enter key designed with the shards of Narsil. All these may seem to be a bit overwhelming for a lot of people, but thankfully the keycaps are the training set, and as such are marked with regular alphabets in small font to help getting used to it.
The main attraction is the Eye of Sauron artwork in the case (by OSHETART) that distinguishes this keyboard from all others. Combining these with the provided red-accented keycaps amazes me eveytime I set my eyes on it.
As for typing experience, it feels quite normal - nothing to stand out as exceptional. The soldered Holy Panda X switches (which I think is made by Gateron) have decent weight and are quite smooth. There’s some tactile feel to it which I liked. I wish the switches were hot swappable which would’ve made this a must have keyboard, but alas that’s a feature Drop decided to forego. Another minor issue is that this is wired only, so no wireless/Bluetooth connectivity is available. The included keyboard is straight and is sturdy, but is only USB-C to USB-A. I wish there was a USB-C cable (or some form of adapter) which would’ve made this more versatile.
In the end, this is a very niche keyboard, and I think Drop knows that the keycap design and the case artwork will be enough to pull in a lot of collectors and enthusiasts in buying this. And this cost a bit of premium because of this tie-in. However, if you are a hardcore LOTR fan, do you even care? Just go and get it.

Did not like the key layout with the additional keys and awkward to use. The white cts80 was the standard i was assuming but below subpar in comparison. Even if its on sale, not worth the quality for a reskinned mechanical board just buy the cts80.

Love gaming? Love LoTR(Lord of the Rings)? Then look no further then your limited edition DROP + tribute to Lord of the rings.
This one of a kind mechanical keyboard is guaranteed to make your gaming rig stand out. Nothing was spared when it came to making this one of a kind never to be seen again mechanical keyboard. Out of the box the first thing your going to notice is the weight behind this keyboard. It feels hefty and gives you that quality assurance that this unit was built to last. The attention to detail on the keys is truly a master piece as it pays homage to the black speech spoken by Sauron and his orcs of middle earth. You don't speak that language? Not to worry, as the keys are etched on the side with its correct corresponding lettering and function. As far as function goes there is no need to worry as the keys function as your standard mechanical set up and also allow for some key switch customization as well. There is a subtle lit back drop, however don't expect full RGB function. And no unfortunately the eye of Sauron does not light up when powered on. The keyboard is wired and keep in mind there is no wireless option so be advised when buying. By all outside appearances this is a typical mechanical keyboard minus your RGB options, what truly sets this apart and makes it worth the buy is it's limited availability, quality build and masterful attention to detail. If you are a LoTR fan and gaming enthusiast its limited run makes this an easy buy and a must have. If you are lucky enough to come across one, do yourself a favor and buy it.

As soon as I saw this was available, I had to get it. It is so cool looking and is right up my alley. The keys are designed so well. It is very heavy and durable so it won't slide around. This is definitely one that stays put. Not for travel. You get an extra set of keys if you don't like the color or design of the ones it comes with. I was able to switch them out with no problem. They give you a tool in the box. It is a wired keyboard, which I prefer, though I know others might not. The keys are tall and curved which helps with ergonomics. I will admit that at first, it felt strange using them but I was able to type much faster once I got the hang of them. The keys bounce back well, so I was able to get a good click rate without accidentally pressing a key I didn't mean to. On their website, you can even order other keys if you want that look amazing to upgrade your keyboard. Like most modern keyboards though, it does not come with a number pad. I'm old-school and prefer to have one. I just wish that more keyboards came with one, but I get it. Overall this is an awesome design for Lord of the Rings fans out there. I definitely showed it off to my friends and got good reactions to it. I think this could make a Christmas or birthday gift. I would definitely recommend this or just this brand to my friends. It's a great keyboard.
