This is a very good and interesting movie. doesn't have the same charm as the original but good still.

Dune was a great book and could have easily been an 8 hour film to do it justice.The 1984 version of Dune was great but the tried to encompass the whole book into 1 film. I enjoyed This dune. It told the story did not feel you were missing. while there were changes to the story in the film adaptation. They did a good job and I eagerly await the next movie in the series.

lets get to the main point that put off a lot of people.... this movie is very very very long. i for one have nothing against long movies i enjoy and welcome them at any time, but not a lot of people like this. but man this movie is BEAUTIFUL, every shot of this movie is just a work of art! idk how to describe this but youll definitely have to watch it.

The movie is a great retelling of Frank Herbert's Dune in modern form. The acting, cinematography, costumes, everything is of the highest calibre. As for the disc - you *must* watch this movie on a BIG 4K OLED display! Only then will you get the deepest of blacks and rich colours that come from this disc!

Playback was crisp and high def and the movie was good

Probably my pick for best film of the year. Seeing this on crystal clear 4K is as good an experience as seeing it in IMAX. The film succeeds on nearly every level of score, effects, cinematography, acting, characterization, and plot. If you are a sci-fi fan or even just a fan of owning gorgeous films to watch in an immersive 4K experience, this is a must own.

I don't yet have a 4K Disc Player, so put on Blu-ray of Movie. I was glad that I could get a 5.1 Playback of Soundtrack. The Picture is excellent, with deep focus and superb images. As for the Movie Content, the Acting and Pace are Far better than Lynch's 1984 Movie. However, there are a lot of Gaps that were well-done in 1984 Movie. The Sets were good. with great Details. The Special Effects, especially, for the Optocopter (of correct Spelling} were quite good; the Sandworm, was a dissapointment. There is definitely, a cut off and subtle details of Sequen(s).
