Very intense movie with fantastic special effects.

Although it is a good movie, it is way too short. It isn't as good as the Dune mini-TV series from 2000. It reminds me of the Dune movie from 1984, except it had an ending.

The way they added sound to this is over the top.. the visuals are stimulating also

My review is not for the movie, that I loved, or the quality of the disc itself. Rather it is for Best Buy's customer service. I purchased Dune online during the Black Friday sale and it arrived this afternoon, November 29. Unfortunately the case was cracked. I read the instructions and took it to the store so they could order a replacement. The associate went to find a supervisor who told me that they could not order it from the store and wrote the phone number on my receipt. I drove home and called the number. After a half hour on the phone and after having asked for a replacement the representative offered me the options of driving to another store miles away for an exchange or a $5.00 credit for the damaged case. I took the credit, it's better than nothing. Afterward, I looked up Dune at Best Buy's web site and it was still available although the price had reverted to it's normal $18.99 rather than the $9.99 I paid. In the end, I taped the pieces together. I know that Buy Buy is exiting the physical media business, but this is unacceptable.

Reference disk of the year and one of the best movies to come out in a while.
