This film does full justice to Frank Herbert’s Novel. I remember reading the serialization in 1963-64 in Analog and anxiously awaiting the each episode. Previous attempts at making a film from the Novel(s), there are two that I remember, have been failures because they got caught up with the gee-wiz future background and missed the true story about the Human Condition and how little the far future might change it. I was particularly pleased to see “Part 1” displayed below the Title indicating that the production team realizes that the story cannot be told in a single film. I was also glad to learn that the green light was given for Part Ii after the excellent box office of the first weekend. The production values are spectacular, however they are left for the eye of the beholder to see, but do not overshadow the telling of the story. BRAVO!

This movie as whole is a well crafted and phenomenal visual piece. As an adaptation of Dune, it’s one of the best of all time. Characters are great and well acted, but some lack of depth due to deleted scenes or poorly written script, some of the pace lagged in the second act. Besides it flaws, I recommend this movie for those who are interested into Epic Science Fiction.

The new Dune is really a great movie to have. This is the first part, a second one is coming late 2022 if I am right. The color, the actors, the music and the story are perfect to keep you watching until the end. Please get the 4K Ultra HD.

Dune has great special affects great cast of different people way better than the 1984 cast. I’m glad there are different people playing the cast of characters. What is interesting is the fighting shield device each fighter wears on his belt.

Fantastic quality for a fantastic movie. Bummed I missed out on the Steel book, but this watches just the same and I'm happy for that. Do yourself a favor and watch this movie on the best quality TV and player you can find. It looks that good.

Pretty generic steelbook design. Movie was great and excited for the second part.

Watched the original when it came out, Loved it, and yes the whole story in one movie, but this one is splitting that into 2 i guess, as this is the first part. Much better effects than the original and some new faces make this a must see...

We were unable to see this movie in theaters, so excited to purchase and watch it now. I was a fan of the original Dune, but I truly enjoyed this movie regardless. The special effects were great and I'm looking forward to the next chapter.

Still a great Sci Fi Epoch though I think I expected more than just a retelling. So far a missed opportunity. Four stars for that only and I do hate how it is split. Can't help but feel something is missing. In all I loved the story and the movie making. Since it is split, more character development could have helped. Just a classic Sci Fi fan's opinion, not a critic.

Denis Villeneuve adapts Frank Herbert’s Sci-fi epic for a modern day audience. Amazing visuals, great acting, fantastic setting and costume design. This is a great film for any fan of science fiction to watch. I cannot wait to see Part 2.

This new Dune 4k disc is spectacular! The Audio and Picture Quality are simply Outstanding. If you have a multi-channel home theater system BUY THIS DISC. I missed out on getting the steelbook--but the slipcover edition is excellent too.

This version of Dune was much better than I thought it would be. I new very little about the story but did familiarize myself with the storyline prior to watching. Highly recommended and as always the steel book packaging is first rate.

Dune (2021) is an excellent adaption of an excellent book. This 4K disc is extremely high quality. Both audio and video. Wish it had IMAX options but even without it's a must-have for sci-fi fans and just plain movie fans alike.

I tried to preorder this before it releases and lost my chance. I was hunting it down for weeks until finally my local store had 1 in stock. Great 4K quality visuals and same for the audio. The steelbooks looks even better in person.

2nd time watching can’t wait for the new movie to come to the theater

Movies scenes and effects were outstanding. Characters were very good. The remake did an excellent job of adding more detail then original Dune. Can’t wait for part two to finish storyline

This movie follows the original book closely with geeat directing, memorable acting, and a score that superbly ties into the scenes intensity. This is by far my new all-time favorite movie.

I've been a fan of Dune for many years watching the 1984 film. But Dune 2021 brings the true magic of this universe. The giant sets, costumes, makeup, battle scenes are truly amazing in 4k disc. Better than streaming. You'll love it.

Dune 4K is a very solid 4k Release. I would say the audio alone makes this a worthy pickup. The video is great but not phenomenal... even with that said this a good movie to add the collection.

They did a great job with this steelbook. It’s going to look nice next to my Steelbook of Blade Runner 2049. I’m glad to have both of these masterpieces in my collection now. I hate that it seems a lot of people couldn’t get a copy.
