The special effect and cinemaphotography are exceptional. This is a great remake of the classic Dune, but is really great.

I love this movie!! And before Best Buy stopped selling films, I was able to add this to my collection! A terrific sci-fi film! Beautifully shot and superbly directed! Must see! Also, I know corporate decided to stop selling films, but I hope they will reverse their decision!

Outstanding special effects, the actors and the acting was very well done. Looking forward to part 2 of Dune in November 2023!

Beautiful home video transfer with a stacked array of excellent behind-the-scenes and making-of videos. As for the movie itself, it's epic and beautiful with a great feel for texture and color. It is simultaneously massive in scale and stark while also being naturalistic and immersive. Extremely solid and one of the better blockbusters of the last ten or so years.

Worked great! Really enjoyed the 4k version on my home theater system.

New item, movie was a good adaption. Visually stunning and excellent actors. Gurney was aquaman

The Steelboook was beautiful, i heard some differnt reviews and was uncertian of the movie, i ended up ordering cause its just mote cost effective for me and my family and i felt like the movie was not long enough. Very very entertainig i was blown away glad i got the movie and glad i got it in a 4k Steelbook.

Allegedly, the white-savior vibes will go away in the sequal/s, but it is all over this movie. I think the point of Best Buy asking for this review though was to talk about the picture quality. Holy guacamole, it was like the sand worms were coming through the screen. Thankfully, that was not the case though, or I couldn't write this review.

When I bought this, I didn’t realize that it was Part 1. Part 2 might be coming out in Nov. That was a surprise, however, the movie is great especially if you liked the original 1984 version. Part 1 basically takes you through the first half, and follows the original closely, but with some slightly different views and technologies. Great cast!

Visual stunning great story truly astonishing from beginning to end

Great movie. Looks great on Blu-Ray. Physical media still remains supreme. The audio from this vs. watching on Netflix is night and day. Anyone out there who have given up on Blu-Ray/Ultra HD, think about picking this up and doing a side to side comparision. Hard not to hear/see the difference.

Dune has come a long way since the mid 80s! I really enjoyed this film. There were slowburn (slowly amping up the energy of the film) and excellent action through out the movie. This is the first of the Trilogy, I highly recommend it, especially if you want to watch the other two. (#2 is out, #3 in 2026)

I really enjoyed the movie, however some fans of the original Dune from the 80s had varying opinions. I enjoyed it and even bought a copy of Dune 2.

This movie isnt anything new if you've seen the 1984 version of Dune. Repackaged with better special effects and actors that are better fits for the characters that they are portraying. This movie really shines in its visuals and soundtrack. If you have a Dolby Atmos system, this movie will make you happy. The sound engineer used the height channels for more than music and the occasional grunt or explosions. You actually hear sand blowing and bouncing off of objects amongst other things. Anytime someone uses "The Voice" it shakes the house subterranean violence. The director really wanted you to feel the otherworldly effects and power of it. This is a worthy purchase to add to any collection, especially for those with Atmos systems and multiple subwoofers. Great visuals on 4k and better tvs. This movie will switch from full screen and Imax to let you get the full depth and grandeur of certain scenes. Buy it !!

A must see if you remember the 1984 version. Much better story line and true to book. 4k a must to watch

I went into Dune in the theater because I love Denis Villeneuve's previous work, but I didn't know anything about this material. Although it is a celebrated novel, Dune isn't something I had previously read or seen in any of the other adaptations. So I had no pre-existing expectations whatsoever. I was blown away. The movie is stunning in scope and complexity, but also manages to find intimate character moments inside all of the spectacle. The steelbook release is beautiful. It is a shame that it was made in such limited supply that it was difficult for people to obtain. I'm glad I got one, but also wish it had been easier for others to get ahold of too. Fortunately, the discs are the same as the regular 4K release, so even if you missed out on the steelbook, you can still get the movie. I do hope Warner Bros. and Best Buy produce more copies of the steelbook next time.

Movie: This thing is a masterpiece. Seen it multiple times now and every time it's just more and more spectacular. From the cinematography, to the music, to the performances. It just hits every note perfectly. Disc: Looks fantastic on 4k without a doubt. I did notice a weirdness with the HDR, but that's not limited to this film and I believe is my TV. The audio is top notch as well. This stands as a great example of why physical media blows streaming away. Steelbook: I admittedly slept on this one when it first made it's rounds mostly out of a desire to get it and the inevitable sequel as a set. When it came back, the artwork won me over. It's just solid. Not to mention it blows the poster away.
