    Long time dune fan so I enjoyed the movie. But if I’m being critical it wasn’t exactly exciting. I’m not sure this will have much appeal outside the existing fan base.

    Unfortunately, I didn't know that this was "Dune...Part 1". Disappointed that Maud 'Dib didn't ride a sandworm in part 1. But GREAT visuals. Going to win the Art Direction Oscar for sure. Pay attention to the amazing vehicle constructs. And of course, the 4K version has superior sound. You may want to turn your soundwoofer off...the deep bass is excessive.

    Good story (seems pretty true to the book from what I can remember. I read the entire series 20+ years ago.) The 2h 35m runtime went zipping by for me. Impressive sound track in Dolby Atmos-TrueHD Stunning visuals: the desert and sciFi technology Cool visualization of the ornithopters from the book.
