Great film . Excellent cinematography and HDR usage

Despite being only Part One, this is a very good movie

Excellent 4k Movie! Video and sound quality is great.

This is the best adaptation of Frank Herbert's classic sci-fi novel, Dune. The cast and acting is excellent. The SFX is also very good. The director Denis Villanueve prefers limiting the use of CGI and opting for models in the background, which gives the film a more realistic look. The movie only covers the first half of the novel. Warner had planned to see how the movie performs before opting for the sequel. Happily, they decided to go with the sequel, which will probably be released in 2024.

Can't wait to see what happens next, such a good movie.

Unless you are willing to sit for a 14+ hour movie, you are never going to get the full Dune experience. This is as close as you are going to get while also being accessible to a wider audience. I've watched it three times already and am still amazed at the visual depth. So many great frames of film. All the actors bring their best.

After watching Blade Runner 2049 I was instantly a fan of director Denis Villeneuve. Going into Dune I knew next to nothing of the source material I just knew it looked like a good big budget sci-fi film. And I was right I didn’t see it in theaters but watched it on HBO Max a film like should be enjoyed on a IMAX screen. I hope when Part 2 releases they do a double feature I would gladly watch both films back to back.

This steel book looks amazing in my 4k collection.

Excellent soundtrack and 4K video on my 77 LG OLED.

Best attempt yet. Many angles to the story not covered in this version to keep it simple for those who have not read the books. If this becomes a franchise they will eventually have to deal with the missing pieces. My wife liked it...she is not such the sci-fi type but she enjoyed the movie and looks forward to the next release.

Dune has been one of the most book accurate films I have ever seen. All the actors gave wonderful performances and the visuals were stunning. I believe this movie uses new encoding on the disc with HDR10 which makes it appear more vibrant than ever. Lastly, this movie’s atmos is great, you consistently have all speakers going off.

Excellent artwork. Steelbook is a must for dune fans.

Dune is a fantastic see. I look forward to part 2.

I think this was a great movie. It really pulled me into this world and was a well told story. I don’t remember much from the original since last time I saw it was as a kid in the 80’s but this made made want to rewatch out of curiosity. It’s one of the few films I’ve been able to watch a couple times this year so far.

Enjoyed it but was a little slow. Waiting on second part!
