The movie was pretty good but the real reason to buy this is because of the wonderful upgraded 4K transfer

I didn't realize this was only the first of a planned three so I wish I had waited. Without going back to read the book again, I was a little disappointed in the lack of context and I think if you had never read the books, you probably wouldn't have any idea what was going on. Or, maybe I just expected too much.

This is a great movie. It is a little slow for me but so was the original Dune. The actors do a great job.

The movie itself is amazing and deserves to be in everyone's movie library. However the quality (in terms of depth) of the 3D in this film is average at best with no pop outs. A couple of scenes were extremely dark making it very difficult to see a detailed image. As a fan of 3D movies I would suggest to instead pick up the 4K version for a better viewing experience.

Movie started slow but got better as it went .I wish the movie was longer so I will watch the next one .

A little background: I am deployed overseas and my family gets my mail and holds it for me. For movies, they open them and send me the digital codes so I can watch. When they opened this item, the case was empty. No discs, and no insert. Best Buy did accept a return, but would not let my family keep the empty Steelbook (which was the whole reason I got it). So I ended up with a regular version. Best Buy is seriously messing up with the Steelbook game. We already pay extra for them, but now it seems they produce as few as possible in order to create demand. Then a year or so later they re-release them in Steelbook. Just produce more Steelbooks. And if someone returns a Steelbook because it was empty, let them keep the empty box, since that is why they bought the Steelbook to begin with.

Blu-ray movie was in perfwct condition. Good movie based on classic film.

After watching this movie twice it always feels like it missing something. Your waiting for the grand scene or the build up the reward for investing your time into this movie but it never comes. Its a okay introduction but its missing the mid and the ending wait for whenever they complete this movie because watching Dune part 1 right now feels unfulfilled.

One thing that's good this is definitely better than the original the cinematography is awesome the graphics superb it looks great on my OLED TV but the acting is stiff actually terrible boring I just really didn't like it but it's better than the first one LOL

I liked the newer version but i hate when they do movies in 2 parts.

Pay close attention there is a lot happening in this movie. A leader destiny is discovered.

Top-notch casting! Haunting music! This movie definitely needs a sequel.

The graphics in this movie are excellent. Plenty of action as well.

I loved the first Dune movie. This one is great as well. Explains a lot more than what the previous movie did, however, at a cost. This ends just when it is getting interesting, which was a disappointment. Would prefer they release both parts at the same time. Wait until part II comes out before buying so you can watch the complete movie.

So excellent video and sound poor interpretation of the books. While the special effects are not as good the original with Patrick Stewart does a better job of telling the story

Great movie. Steelbook arrived...you guessed it ... dented...

The movie was good did not know there a book too going to read all the book before the next one.

Much better than the original, but still lacking in comparison to the great book.
