The film - another victory from Nolan. Outside of Interstellar, he's yet to bring us anything but top of the line story and visuals, with this film being yet another example of such quality. And this steelbook is a beautiful edition for collector's.

Dunkirk is truly spectacular from beginning to end. I must admit after seeing it in IMAX, the small screen DVD version isn't expansively impressive, but the movie is still a spectacular achievement in cinema grandeur. The sound can be managed viewing at home, but in IMAX, the thundering sound kept you right in the midst of all the action on screen. So much was said in this film with a minimum of dialogue. A must have in every film library.

The visuals are outstanding- let’s get that out of the way. The imax footage is stunning in 4k and everything else looks great, too. The story is a refreshing take on the war genre. While we might typically expect a long run-time with epic setpieces packed with extras, Dunkirk offers a more character-focused approach that tells its story through many shots lingering on lone individuals. It looks to the edges of the event rather than the obvious war-room drama.

This was one of my favorite films of 2018 and Christopher Nolan proves once again why he is a master director. Some may be disappointed by the lack of "action" in this war movie, but this is a war movie that focuses mainly on the characters and how they react when they are put into what looks like an impossible situation. Unfortunately, the art chosen for the SteelBook of this impeccable film is pretty disappointing.

As with just about any recent Christopher Nolan film, this movie plays with the concept of time, telling three stories as they evolved over the span of a week, a day, and an hour. The real highlight, however, is the use of sound. There is just about no dialogue, and the emphasis is on the sounds of war. Extremely sad and moving film, but also very inspiring.

As a collector of blu-rays, I absolutely love this Best Buy Only Steelbook edition of Dunkirk. Thank you Best Buy for providing this edition and making it available to collectors, like myself. This is not any typical war film. It’s an Intense Heart-Pounding Epic Suspenseful Thrill Ride that will grasped you on the edge of your seat! Director Christopher Nolan, shows more of the fear, the suspense, and the chaos of a war film excluding the graphic war violence, which he delivers tremendously. Best Film I've seen this year! And Nolan's Best Film Since The Dark Knight & Inception. HIGHEST RECOMMENDATION! Grade: "A+"

This is certainly a must have for any war movie fans out there! The film is one of most well done war movies of all time. The movie has an amazing plot and action scenes one has to view to believe. The soundtrack is also really impressive and a nice overall touch to the movie. Don't pass this movie up--a must for any serious movie fan!

Disappointed. I thought it was a war picture but the only fighting it had was the airplanes. I found it hard to follow and keep track of the story.

This was a masterpiece to create and enjoy the story that could have been Britain’s biggest lose to their military strength at a time when Germany was winning the conquest of Europe. This was a turning point in the war and when worse came to worse the citizens of the UK came to the rescue with no thought to their safety to help rescue the soldiers stranded in Dunkirk. It’s a must see movie and to own in your collection.

I am not a huge fan of war movies. I find them too chaotic and the fast action scenes are too blurry. I was pretty impressed with this movie, however. It was Christopher Nolan at his best. I felt like I was in every scene, experiencing what the soldiers did. My only regret is that I missed the opportunity to see it in the theatre on the big screen.

This movie never seems to let up on the intensity of the moment each character finds themselves in. Its almost impossible not to feel the tense scenes in each, from the beaches, to the sea, and sky by the combination of music and footage. Overall a very interesting take on a WW2 setting. For those that do not know of the Dunkirk event in WW2, I imagine most will want to read more about it after viewing this film.

This film covers one of the most important event of World War 2. If events hadn't worked out for the British Hitler might have gotten his 1,000 year empire. The film is light on character and plot because it's more of a you are there type experience film. In 4k and with one of the best sound mixes you are there. It is not to be missed. You owe it to yourself to experience it in the best possible picture and sound.

I think that "Dunkirk" was one of the greatest classic historical/war films of all-time and it was also one of my favorite classic historical/war films of all-time. I was really excited to see this film in theaters and I immediately enjoyed it and I also think that "Dunkirk" had a lot of entertaining, exciting and enjoyable action, mystery, drama and suspense including really amazing personal and inspiring storylines.

Decent film. Cinematography was incredible. Hans Zimmer created any ambient, droning score which compliments this film well. I own in 4K but wanted Steelbook, which Has artwork on back and inside case, and is a great edition to my collection. Price was excellent and Order came quick and was well packaged with no dings, dents, or scratches.

This was a great war movie, but it was different than a lot of the typical war movies I've seen in the past. There was no blood or gore, I suppose because the story didn't really need it to be interesting. Rather, Nolan relied on building up the tension through a tricky timeline, musical score, and limiting information to the viewer just enough. It's not for everyone, but it worked very well for me.

I am glad Christopher Nolan made this movie. For me, at least, the story of Dunkirk is a lesser known World War II story. The 4k picture is high quality, and the sound perfectly compliments the picture. Watch the movie Darkest Hour to see how Winston Churchill handled the Dunkirk situation politically for England.

Dramatic telling of the historical story of the incredible rescue of over 350,000 Allied troops at Dunkirk. Overall well presented and talented acting. The movie is riveting, but I found it somewhat confusing at times as a result of the story hopping from one part of the story to another then back to the original with no time having transpired, or in a few cases actually moving back in time.

This was a good war film. Less focus on battle and more focus on just not dieing and finding a way out of Dunkirk. The drama builds from high to really high, no real let-up. I enjoyed the manner of this story unfolding as well as the web of character timeline interactions. Recommend. -includes dvd, blu ray, digital copy.
