Dunkirk is a great movie visually. The sound is also phenomenal. I recommend knowing a basic idea of the story before watching as there is a minimal amount of dialogue. The film does not give you the sense of impending doom at a level that you would expect from a war movie. Otherwise, it is well made and worth seeing.
