This is a great replacement cable for a phone charger. The only drawback is the cable is not that long.

As with anything...you get what you pay for. I can't imagine this is a durable item. Time will tell.

There are recycling bins just inside the store for cables, but you can't rummage through them for the ones you need. And the ones at the dollar store are a bit loud. These cables work fine and -while a bit expensive- are still the cheapest ones in the store. Don't know if they handle data well. I use mine for phone charging. Again with the recommend question!
