And even though it is not a USB 3 cable the speed of transfer of data from the computer to the drive is slower but it works fine. I am not that much in a hurry. For the price it is a good purchase.

These are not heavy duty cables but they are at least of the quality that come with cell phones. We have been using them for 9 months of heavy use (average 2-3 charging cycles per day) with no issues
