I had the 300W powersupply fail in my main home PC and searched on line for an exact replacement. I couldn't believe the price, so I did a search on line and found that Best Buy carried the Dynex™ 400-Watt supply at half the price (and a third more power rating). Our local store had it in stock, I showed up as soon as they opened; they let me take the new supply out of the boxt so I could compare form-factor and plug configurations. I was back home, up and running in less than an hour.

I upgraded to this from a 350W. I was pleasantly surprised to discover how many more connectors this power supply had compared to my last. It was very easy to install, and runs fairly quiet. I would definitely purchase this item again.

Recently I was having trouble with my older HP Pavilion desk top running Windows XP. I was convinced that I needed to reload Windows because it would lock up, reboot, automatically go to advanced boot, or just turn off after attempting to turn it on. After doing some research online, I discovered it was probably the power supply. That didn't really surprise me too much because it was the original power supply making it about 11 yrs old. I tested the power supply and discovered that some of the outputs were outside the given parameters...voltages were lower than specified. After conferring with the Geek Squad at Best Buy and explaining the symptoms to them, they directed me to the DYNEX 400WATT ATX POWER SUPPLY. Installation was very simple and my puter booted right up and appears to be cured. The fan runs so quietly that you can barely hear it at all, and at 400 watts it will easily outperorm the original 250watt power supply.

My old Best Buy rig I got for school had an old PSU that wouldn't support PCI-E among other things so I was stuck using the onboard video, which was horrendous. Bought this today and installed it along with my Nvidia 9800GT and things are looking much better, literally. Although the price online and the price in-store was different, I am still satisfied with this PSU. For a 400 Watt that supports numerous Sata and 1 PCI-E you can't go wrong. Just not sure why the price in store was $59.99 when it shows online as an in-store pick-up option for $49.99.

my old power supply died on me. My first thought was that it would be a pain in the rear. I didnt have much money to buy a new one and this one fit that bill. I was able to install it in less than 10 minutes and I dont regret it. It is a LOT quieter than my old one which really helps since I need my computer to be quiet. I also love the fact that it keeps my computer a lot cooler! I have a lot of electronics near my computer and before my computer would heat up the area, with this one, its a lot cooler and makes me think that I should have replaced my old one with this one sooner!

I had never replaced a power supply before and this one was recommended to me by the Geek Squad. I bought it and was able to install it into one of my computers with no problem. I simply set the computer on its side and as I disconnected each item from the old power supply I connected the item to the new power supply. It was very easy to install and would highly recommend this product to anyone to repair their computers.

The product is very good, it installed on the original cut out W/out any modifications, the power cables were just wright. It works very good so far.

That was my first impression when I pick the product up at my local Best buy. It had some weight to it for cheap power supply. I was really pleased when I got home and open the box, looks like a well built solid PSU. Pick up some zip ties with this PSU to tie up cables your not using. No problem at all fired right up. This went into my son computer AMD 6000 3GB RAM two 80GB 7200 hard drives one DVD and 8800 GTS 640 MB graphic card. 92mm cooling fan and three 80mm all hook to a fan controller.

Great PSU for the price. I upgraded from poopy onboard graphics to a Radeon 5450 and needed a bigger power supply. This baby went in smooth and fired right up. The cables are even wrapped in a cool black material that makes the inside of my case look clean. Great job.

Excellent value for the money. The fan is not too loud, and there is a convenient on/off switch to cut off power to the supply without unplugging the power cord. There are a lot of long-ish size black cords inside, which might be challenging to fit inside of your tower. So far, excellent, though I hope the supply lasts a good long while.

Let me start by saying I am a beginner in terms of replacing computer parts. After I tried to replace my DVD drive, my PC didn't turn on. After doing some research, I found out that my power supply was dead (due to the flashing green light). I ran to Best Buy to pickup a PS. I was so glad that this was so easy to install. I would just recommend that you have some cable ties because you'll have to bundle them up and keep then away from the fans.

I have used this power supply for about 2 years solid. The product works great. I use it to run my current system: AMD Athlon 64 x6400 8gb DDR2 PC8400 500gb 5400 RPM Nvidia 9600gt 512mb The power supplies cord were a bit short for my case, Antec 900. Still fit, but would have liked more length to route power cables as I wanted. It's not modular.

400 walts . + easy installation takes 2 minutes in i was done

i purchased this for an older computer that was in dire need of a new power supply it works just fine it was easy to install and i have had no problems with it whatsoever not much else to say it does what it's supposed to do and i believe that's all you can ask

I was worried about having to buy a new desktop when it suddenly stopped functioning but after doing some simple research i realized it could be the PSU. I puchased this particular unit from a local Best Buy store and it was so easy to install, it honestly took me about 10 min in all to install. After i plugged everything back in it worked like new.

This was my first time upgrading a power supply. I had bought a graphics card that required more power. I bought this power supply and easliy changed it out with the other. Seems to give good quite operation. Just unplug the existing power supply and plugged in the new one...one plug at a time.

It's an OK power supply, standard size, easy to install, fixed my computer. If I didn't want to get it fixed right away I would've ordered from somewhere else and saved some bucks. But it's nice to order it from Best Buy, pick it up on the way home, and fix the computer right away.

Had to replace a failed power supply after a power outage on Christmas day. Had the old one out and the new one installed in 30 minutes. It has been working great ever since. It is a lot quieter than I thought it would be.

I was in great need of a power supply when I bought my GTS 250. I only had a 250 watt power supply, and I needed a bigger one otherwise I would not be able to use the card efficiently. This power supply is great if you are in need of one that just gets the job done easily.

Like a lot of other posters, I wanted to get my comp up and running in a hurry. Talked to a service guy that said if the PSU didn't work, I could bring it back for a refund. Because I wasn't sure if that was the problem, I thought I had better go for it. It works and was easy to install. Way over priced for an off brand unit but convenience often takes precedent over price. It is not a high quality PSU in their opinion and that is a concern for me. If it gives me 3 more years on this 7 year old comp, I won't complain. I recommend only on the basis of convenience.
