I just put this Power Supply Unit (PSU) in my Asus CM-6730-04 to replace a 300 watt PSU. This is the first time I ve replace a PSU and all you really have to do is unplug and re-plug. I notice it has lots of extra connection just in case you need to get some add ons. I got this PSU because I will be add a 1 GB GDDR5 to my PC, so I need the extra juice. It also comes with a great ventilation fan to keep it cool. The notice level...wait, I could barley hear it. Yeah, its really quite. (Just a plus) Oh, when reconnecting the cords to the motherboard the PSU comes with a 20 pin connection for older CPUs and an additional 4 pin connection that would be placed right next to the 20 pin for newer PCs.

Solid power supply, but short cords

I got this to replace a defective power supply in my most recent, budget desktop PC build. It worked very well for this purpose. My only complaint is that the cords are crazy short. They just barely reach the motherboard in a ATX mid-tower, and they're stretched taut across my PCI ports (preventing me from installing a graphics card). I'm going to have to buy extension cables in order to get my graphics card installed, and they cost about as much as a power supply by themselves. Still, for the right case (maybe a micro-ATX?) this power supply would be a great deal. It got the computer up and running, so I can't complain too much.

In order for me to use the AMD Radeon HD 6670 on my computer, I needed a stronger power supply. I was originally going to buy the 400W Dynex, but decided on the larger one for safety. The cables were straightforward, easy to install, and the CPS fit perfectly in my computer. Pretty much enough said, and it is quiet too!

Purchased this PSU to upgrade the stock 300w that came with my system that I also purchased from BB. Install was quick and easy and runs like a charm. This PSU will power an ATI HD 6850 no problem.

I purchased this a few weeks ago to replace a 600W supply that went bad. It was easy to install and had plenty of hookups for all my components. It is very quiet as well which is always appreciated.

Raw the power you will EVER need!!!

This is the first time I have ever messed with a power supply it was fast, easy, affordable, and POWERFUL!!!! Sorry but I can not get over what some extra wattage does for your computer. It made my system run smooth as silk, never bogs because of lack of power. I am running 2 Blu-ray drives, a 2.5 TB Raid setup for hard drive, never bogs. If you do anything, try this first and I only buy from BESTBUY. Thank you for your time, if you buy this you will be thanking me.

Plenty of power for the new graphics card and any future upgrades I may want. Don't mess around with stock power supplies. If you don't have enough power you cn ruin your computer or it's components.

    Correct my previous review.

I have to create another account to write another review to correct my mistake in first review. I guess I had taken the 20 pin part as the whole 24 pin connector, that is why it was too small. I should have put the 20 pin part and the 4 pin part together to form the 24 pin connector(as shown in the image with white arrows). I guess this item can be used on my PC therefore compatibility is no problem.

Easy install, all of the connectors I needed for my specific needs. I was worried it was going to be loud, because it's much larger than the standard power supply that came with my HP Pavilion. But I can barely here it. In fact, I hear the fan on my graphics card more than the power supply.

Good Power supply for repair work

Got this to repair a computer I built for my Daughter, It is no power monster but for this application worked just fine. AMD quad core,1 tb hd asus mb 1 dvd drive and ATI hd3450 graphic card.It has1 mini two pin,1 graphic card supply2 molex,4 sata,1 20 +4 and 2 cpu connectors. The large size fan is a "bottom draw" and runs with little noise.I think the aux fans I put in the case are louder. She thought her computer was fried when "It started sounding like my tazer" Install is simple do recommend you have at least a mid tower due to the large bottom fan the ram is close in our application.

Not for old PC with bigger 24 pin ATX connecter

My 6 years old HP m7170n has a broken power supply with HP P/N 5188-2533. I took the broken one to BestBuy and bought this Dynex 520W ATX power supply, open it in parking lot to compare it with the broken old one to make sure it have correct connecter types/size. When install it to my PC, connecters to DVDs and SATA HD have no problem, but the 24 pin connecter is a little too small. Have to return it and order one online from outletPC, with exact HP P/N 5188-2533.

I've used this for a couple years, and it's done well. Runs a Phenom quad-core gaming computer effectively. After a couple years, it is now making a grinding sound, but it does not seem to interfere with its function. I will be purchasing another, and I recommend that you purchase one too. Good value, good quality, decent life.

We have had some computers go down at the office and needed a quick power supply and picked up a couple of these last minute. I think at least two of them have ended up going out a little over a year, but they definitely do the job for a cheap-o power supply.

I got this power supply for around $55.00. Big upgrade over my 400W that died. Very easy to set up an install. The extra cords were the only thing that I had an issue with. A great value.

To start off, Dynex is a terrible brand to look into for a PSU, there is a reason why its sold so cheap. its labeled 520w when in reality the output will be around -350w. With the Amperage so low(16-20A) this will not power is system that is anything over low performance.
