salesman said i needed connecting cables, but the service provider provided connecting cables with the cable box

The clerk talked me into getting these cable. Found out I didn't need them my cable provider give them to me.

Not recommended for hdmi hookup would be better off getting rocketfosg

The item was not needed, a coax patch cord is quite adequate. Will return for credit.

There's more than one way to connect audio and video components these days, but HDMI is the best way to go. These HDMI cables get the job done and aren't excessively expensive. I like that about them. If you hold them in your hand, you'll notice they feel flexible but durable. Then after you hook them up, you can enjoy the awesome picture quality that HDMI has to offer. I don't care what anyone says, cable is cable.. as long as it is shielded and durable. Don't waste money on a fancy name brand and use HDMI whenever possible.

Did you know that the hype about very expensive HDMI cables is just that, hype? Even the least expensive cable has no problem passing 3D, even over longer lengths. I have a Samsung 3D plasma, Pioneer home theater amp, and all the fixings. This cable works just fine. Passes Blu-ray 3D to through the Pioneer to the TV. No problems at all. Look for the least expensive cable, it will perform just as well as the most expensive. Don't believe me? Buy a cheap one and see for yourself. (30 years in broadcast engineering at a NYC tv station, that's who I am.)

I needed another HDMI cable to connect an Apple TV to my AVR. I didn't want to spend $50 or more on a cable, and I'm glad that I didn't. This one could be even less expensive than it is, but it's working fine, providing very clear video and audio and doing the job it needs to do. You can spend as much as you want on a cable, and some people feel that the extra money is worth it, but for me, this one works just fine.

Not sure why HDMI cables are so expensive in stores but hey, it is what it is. This cable performs the standard HDMI functions and will last a long time.

Needed extra cables to connect HD cable box into our system and these were offered along with our Blu-Ray purchase. Perfect length, no problems after a year now.

Dynex created a quality cable for an affordable price. The sound and picture quality is great for your HDMI compatible devices.

I purchased this cable only because I wanted the cheapest, shortest HDMI cable I could get to connect my Windows Media Center laptop to my television. It allows my laptop to connect to the TV with no visible loss of video quality, and from my seat on the sofa I can read all the text on the screen clearly as I could if I were sitting directly behind the laptop screen. I don't see any reason to buy a more expensive HDMI cable than this one, especially when the cable is so short . Shielding on a really short cable isn't very important, and this was the least expensive I could find. Despite everything I've said before, however, the cable IS fairly well shielded...albeit, it's no monster cable, but it's still pretty heavy. I honestly believe if monster cables didn't exist nobody would miss them as long as they used this cable.

I've never seen it to fail. I've been shopping in electronic stores for years, and each time I go into any store to buy a cable, (speaker, audio patch, video patch, HDMI, DVI,VGA, what-ever), there is always a sales person there to tell me how much better the outrageously over priced cable performs compared to the one I want to buy. This trip to Best Buy was no different. The sales guy tried to show me HDMI cables that cost 3, 4, and even 10 times the price! That's right, TEN TIMES the price. He assured me that the $59.00 HDMI cable, and the $200.00 HDMI cable would give me clearer, sharper more detailed video, and better audio than this one. I know from past experience that it would be a waste of time to argue with him, so I just said, "thanks for your advice", and went on to pay for this cable. I'm using it with a Sony 3D Blu-Ray player, and a 65" Samsung 3D TV. I cannot imagine video any better. Resolution, color saturation, white & black balance, gray tone tests, audio tests,everything is at specs according to a professional calibration DVD. Save your money, don't let the sales person talk you into buying an over priced cable. Take your family out to dinner instead, you'll get much better value.
