Adequate USB 2.0 cable

Did not work for me

The cable was connected and the cd was installed but my laptop and printer would not connect. I ended up having the Geek Squad connect my laptop and printer through Wi-Fi. Now I have a USB cable that is of no use to me.

It's a cable -- whaddya expect? it does its job.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I wrote this to help balance two negative reviews (at least one of which was completely unfair). 1) almost all computer cables seem expensive for a bundle of wires and a couple of connectors. The cost helps offset the expense of the precision tooling needed to assemble these seemingly simple items. Still too expensive? Well, it's called capitalism -- manufacturers making a profit in part to invest in the development of devices more exciting than cables. Think of all the technology we enjoy at true bargain prices these days. Paying a little too much for cables is one reason we can. 2) Cable too short? That's not the manufacturer's fault. That's a user error. Measure, then purchase the appropriate cable. (Yeah, I've screwed up this way, too, but I didn't take it out on the maker).
