    Why pay more for Apple cables? My original cable only lasted 6 months. I've had this one for more than an year with no issues.

    I bought these because I needed a spare at my office in case I forgot the good ones so I knew they wouldn't be great. They have done the job but it doesn't charge as fast as the Apple cord.

    Picked up several for two dollars each. My daughter still has an older Ipad that uses the 30pin connector. Although not very long, 3 feet, these still do a decent good charging.

    I bought this as a backup for my mom. It has not failed and seems to work fine. On the other hand, the plastic coating seems a little hard and cheap feeling. With heavy use I can imagine it would crack.

    I'm sure this would have been a great product but I accidentally ordered the cable for the wrong type of iPhone. I would recommend this for people who have the older iPhones.
