They either stop working after 6 months or not supported by Apple. The Dynex seems be of better quality than other non Apple cables, but when I plugged it in my phone, I got a device not supported. Not sure how this cable passed as Apple Certified. In any event, I think you're better off spending a bit more on the Apple brand cables that you know it will work and they generally last longer than the third party brands.

It seemed to work right away, even though it didn't go into "lightning" mode for a few days (it would charge REALLY slow for the first few days). I put this to the fact that it's not an OEM charger (original to Apple) and the device just needed to adjust to it. Fast forward to 3 months later, and I'm suddenly getting the "Accessory may not be supported" error on my iPhone every time I move my device. I checked everything...extension cord (fine), wall adapter (fine), and then it started to charge again so I thought it was a fluke. 2 days later, it's just died for no reason at all. I only use the charger next to my bed, so it's not like it's being dragged around, and it's very well taken care of. Sure, you pay the low price but what good is it if you only get to use it for THREE months?! Might as well go the way of the OEM. No way to return this, either, and BB wouldn't offer a warranty extension, because I guess they know it's crap.
