The female end of adapter accepts HDMI cable with snug fit, as well. Only thing to note is that the female HDMI port is not as deep as typical HDMI cable male connector. So they do not mate flush and you will have about an 1/8th-inch gap.

This worked really well! This was a great deal! As other reviews have mentioned, be sure to ask the sales associates at Best Buy for this specific one. I'm so happy with this one!!

Some have worked great for 3+ years, others have failed after only a 3 months. I have gotten a few of these over the past 3 years and only 1 has failed in that time. Video looks good, audio is clear and it's a pretty straightforward connection. If you need a cheap one, get it. Your chances are good that it will last a good while.

It does not, unfortunately, plug into the Mac's Thunderbolt port, as I thought someone on the Questions/Answers section had pointed out. So, I will have to return it or hopefully exchange it for a device that is actually compatible.

It alternates between static and no signal. I am extremely disappointed because most of the reviews said it worked great. I have a new macbook Air and an hdmi cable has always worked in my TV before, so I don't know what the problem could be unless I got a broken one.
