Does the Job for a Great Price!

For a cheap keyboard, this one really does the job well. All the drivers downloaded quickly and easily. The hotkeys on the top are actually useful too! (There's an "Open Web Browser," "Sleep," and Playback controls that I find myself using quite often instead of my mouse. There's even a calculator hotkey to pull up any quick math! (though I doubt I'll be using that one very often) The reason I bought this keyboard for my laptop was for 2 reasons: 1. Upgrade my keyboard to a 10-key. DONE. 2. I actually play a lot of hardcore games on my laptop. And though I don't have the money to spend on "gaming" one, this one gets the job done just as well. I figured I should buy a separate keyboard before I wear away the one on my laptop. And for $9.99? I'd gladly recommend it. (As for the one gripe, the keys themselves don't have a concave shape, which I prefer for stability. But that's just being picky. No need to dock off major points for that.) P.S. It even works for Mac! The Playback settings work well, as does the Sleep key. So Thumbs up to that!

Needed a keyboard for an old system that will be terminated and had to retrieve data. Having an extra keyboard for emergencies is always good. I like the light weight and USB. For the price and features it's great.

Does not work properly with Docking Station

I bought this keyboard for my new work laptop that has windows 8, and it took me a while to get it working. There is absolutely no support available on Dynex's website. I tried entering serial number, from the back side of the keyboard, and the website does not recognize my product. The most frustrating thing was, even for drivers and support section, it was asking for serial number. I don't understand why do we have to search for serial number to get drivers. Absolutely frustrating and i will never buy anything that has Dynex as manufacturer. Also it has delay of 10 to 20 seconds to detect the keyboard when machine is restarted. I am using this on Windows 8 Dell XPS 15 machine. I have tried it on Lenovo Yoga 13 and have same issue. The only good thing is price. It is very cheap (both cost wise and build wise). I have not returned it as it is permanently hooked up to my PC at home and i rarely use it. But future buyers, please make a decision based on what OS you have on your PC.

    My original keyboard broke.

The keyboard that came with my PC has lettering that is worn. I could only find one with a sleep button at Best Buy. My original keyboard had a sleep button and it has less special keys than the Dynex.

I work at home so I go through 2 to 3 keyboards a year, usually not because they malfunction but because the letters wear off pretty quickly with daily use. This is a great replacement for the price, if the letters wear off I can comfortably replace it with another without going broke!!

    Terrible Keyboard

The buttons are slightly offset from a standard keyboard which can be a little difficult to adjust to. On the first day the buttons started giving weird alphanumeric values instead of the proper values. I've had to sign into my account with the on-screen keyboard a couple of times now. I've learned that unplugging and re-plugging the keyboard will reset this. This is what the alphabet and numbers look like a-z and 1-0: abcdefgh51230n6-qrst4vwxyz 123456789* The buttons on top are a pain. pressing a button once is usually equal to pressing it 2 or 3 times. When pressing the play/pause button the media will often pause than instantly start playing again, you have to hold it down longer and hope you land on pause or quick tap it to try to get pause the first time. I'm glad I didn't spend more money on this keyboard, I'm only using it because I'm away at school and I wouldn't be able to type without it so I'm stuck.

Poor quality item. After less than two weeks the ctrl button stopped working and the only recommendation was to take it back to the store. Will not be buying this brand again.
