The built-in mic on my laptop was not picking up my voice. Unfortunately, the stand mic was no improvement whatsoever. I don't have another use for it.

It is ok, I can't get it to make my voice sound much better. Just have a bad mic voice. But, I kept it in case I have to use voice recording.

The sound quality is pretty bad to begin with. It worked for about a week before some internal wiring gave way. Wiggling the (disturbingly thin) wire sometimes helps, usually not. Most of the time, there's nothing but random static even when the room's dead silent.
